My least favorite Satch song would have to be about anything he sings.I'm sorry, but his vocals are awful. Some tracks are listenable due to the tune that goes with them(Ride and Big Bad Moon),but most just stink.I have to agree about distinguishing favorite Satch and the best Satch album.PSATMOR is my current favorite because it's fresh and new and I have listened to it a gazillion times yet.I would have to agree that Crystal Planet is his best overall cd,though I really enjoy them all just at different times.

Hi Joe,
New to the site but been a fan since 16 when Surfing was released. Just wanted to say thanks for all the great music.
A couple months ago I had Time Machine in the player and got a sudden regret of not sticking with guitar as a kid. Then I decided f#$% it, I'm gonna play so bought an acoustic Tacoma and dug the Peavey electric out of the closet (Yeah I kept it). Been going great and now a pair of shades and an Ibanez are on the shopping list. Thanks again!
Ron
PS - Please put Vancouver on your next tour!

mama M heres how it works
Rangers is English Protestant
Celtic is Scottish Catholic
Its around 700 years since the English invaded Scotland & we are still at war over it "we use football as the excuse" & are very much devided as a people
you think that is violent.....check out Glasgow after a Rangers Celtic match! you cant walk the streets
its also the reason for war in North Ireland
its also why my old man had me learn martial arts from when i was a rug rat, i grew up with violence from all corners as a child, some of the things i witnessed, people havin their throat cut etc
thats why Slan hates religion & football its also how he understands no war is really over or won

here 's a beautiful tune im going to recommend from my instrumental archives,
its called 'laurens walking' by angello badalamenti, its from one of my fave films, The straight story which is well worth watching, and shows there is still geniue love in world. ya know its about alvin straight who drove across an american state on a lawnmower to see his ill brother, hes one of my heroes, along with joe simpson (mountaineer), edmund hilary, yu suzuki and of course joe satriani.

Britain is and always has been a warlike nation, just look at the amount of wars we partake or start.
this is why the EU will never work,to much history. its not just the brits, theres old hatreds all over europe, not least because of WW1 and 2.

I was at the concert in Coliseu do Porto, Portugal. It was great! I had a lot of fun and I hope you'll come many more times to my country. It was the greatest rock concert I've ever been to.
Perhaps one day you'll write a song and play with our "portuguese guitar", just like you did with the spanish rythms of Andalusia.
Keep on working. Mr. Satriani, you're still THE BEST!

REVAN 2008>Correction..... England has always been a warlike country & no i,m not anti English because of a few power hungry arseholes, the old wound will never heal in Scotland for what the English done, the same for the Irish, thats why the celts get on so well, they share common ground. My gran was English it was always a terrible struggle at new year between my scot family & my gran, trad scot song is heavy anti-english, she was a great ol lady, sad she had t endure bringin up 16 of her mas family in both WW,s then have t listen t that every year

Joe,
Went to the Manchester Apollo gig on Thursday. I gotta say you absolutely blew me away, your playing was amazing and I still can't stop smiling when thinking about the gig.
Last time I saw you it was for The Extremist tour. Must of been about fifteen years ago ( I know, Scary or what?) at the same venue. I'm really kicking myself for not seeing you again sooner because I think you played as well if not better on this tour. I will not be making the same mistake again, next tour I'm soooo their.
BTW inspired choice getin PG to open for you, he is a monster!
Keep kicking a$$ on the tour.
All the best.
James

Hey Joe, How you doing hope you are ok ?
I was looking on ebay for one of your JS100's (I might be buying one) and I happened to stumble across an Ibanez JS1 MIJ first original run of the chromeboys. Just before this I was looking at one of your messages and it said you had an chromeboy stolen so I was wondering whether this was it? Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180241533442&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008
MANY THANKS
