Hi joe i hope the concerts are going well, although i expect they are.. what do recommend as a good way to expand your knowledge of the fretboard, i have been learning chords and scales ( mainly blues scales ), can you recommend any good guitar books..

....Hey man this problem is arising for me joe pen chic,s you see I am A DIAMOND johnny, for kingston pen because I am the strongest ever in their waht it mean well they pay me once a year but like I have 337 karat diamond blood ,with 7 cuint of emeral with i think,s it,s 30 karat gold blood for work the only thing is ,IS that I cant have treated water their talking about making apsley water treatment plant and sewers instead of septic for waste and well for water I cant have that I already have my money in my moms bank for my own house up north but i told my mom years ago when the township municpal office begged me to stay, i said i am not loosing my job from kingston pen man and i am not fouckn up my body with it you loose the gangster all that money thats your problem i told them they know i work for kingston penitentiary doing my diamond johhnny thingbut i spend more money in this town in a year then the whole town does in 11 years the township said oh i can diamond johnny up north no prob pen chics i told my mom like 6 years ago when they asked me to stay were moving up north further northern ontario it,s 13000 bucks to hook up to your house then 1700 dollars a year for service but it gets worse thats before they charge for outgoing water you know plus i cant have treated water for another reason i have never done drugs treated water is only for people and municpality,s affected by drugs was on the news it,s to treat and try to control them from all the germes their exsposed too all it does when your an abstainer ohvlin is damage not too mention the kp stuff later wolf2 their just doing a survey right now anne thing came in the mail today looks pretty serious theourgh later wolf2.

Proffboff: see if you can get hold of a copy of Joe's Guitar Secrets book. It has loads of useful tips, exercises and theory laid out in 41 lessons to keep you busy for most of your lifetime! :o)
It was published by Cherry Lane Music Co. The ISBN on mine is 0-89524-738-0
Hope you find a copy and thanks for reminding me about it; I need to dip into it again.

...Hey I fixed her good.Stacey that is ,I switched the getting married until we can do it to picking her up her come over on a said date and time and putting out ! fouck it was the best time I can remember I started fouckn her at 11.10 pm and foucked her until 2.32 am I never foucked her before so she dont know what fouckns about she starts getting off and getting funny hillarious cuz she didnt know what was shooting out of her body ,I was thinking hope she didnt get preganant then I thought wait a minute we didnt fuck to get pregnant she had like 14 orgasims with jism shooting out of her box it was great after she was exhautsed I came like I told her when I picked her up the nicest fouck not my nichy of course later wolf2.

stacey likes to examine and play with the dead bodys hey donny specificaly dead cops i dont know man i have bbeen wacking cops alot lately hey man those tazers are fouckn hillarious this one i said try it? he tryes it blew back against his head i punched him blew his fouckn body to pieces man this other one they all had their necks broke from the punch and dead instantly in their brain shutdown anyways this one was blown right to pieces stacey was playing with laterwolf2.

I got an email there about the new Satriani merchandise in the store, and i see they have satriani stickers... i rememember about 2 years ago i bought sometihng from the store and the stickers was one, paid for em and all and weeks later got an email saying they were not in stock... never got the $$ back, So should i be expecting my super colossal stickers in the mail now since they're back in stock!!?

Hi um Joe? If its possible to talk to him or not? i dont know. im 14 and been playing guitar for about a year and i preformed a concert at a local comedy club and i was wondering, when you soloing to a song, how do you keep momentum and not fall apart? because i started out fine but then i sounded horrible. :( anyways.. yeah. im new to your site and its really cool! all the pictures is an awesome touch to the site. : ) soo.. yeah. umm... i cant think of anything else. sooo see you in the chatroom sometimes? i guess? i dont know.

Thanks to your album: "The Extremist" I had a emotional feeling and unforgettable experience until now because listening your music is a feeling that I love 'cause you playing like a........like Joe Satriani! to Flip-jsx, luckily although my kids have access to those two guitars at their Grans house - at our own house we have another couple, 'no names' as my sons proudly tell people (they think that that must make them extra special)
So we're all a bit musical, I've been playing piano for years took lessons up to Grade 4 and I've been strumming out a few chords on my acoustic too - and last year I took up the bass, and loving that - its the most enjoyable instrument I've found so far. But it's also sparked a re-interest in the guitar, since it's pretty much the same thing apart from the extra two strings. (ok so there are other differences I know)
I have a question regarding all of that for anyone who would like to help me out here.
Unfortunatly I didn't listen to my piano theory and now I'm stuck with tunes being in a particular 'key' and I think that means a root note with a scale of other notes in a predefined order...pentatonic scale maybe? I've found an online diagram and will be working on it.
From fiddling about with the bass I've figured out some scales (without realising it) and tried to improve the fluidity of my playing. And speed.
But I've been frazzled by Wikipedias explanation of scales and modes (modes!! what the hell are they?).
I've then come across references to a book called the Guitar Grimoire by Adam Kadmon...has anybody heard of this, is it any good for theory beginners?

Tuesdaychild- If your just looking to play withiut all the blah blah blah, you should check out a book called Monster Scales and Modes by Dave Celentano

This book is extremly easy to understand, has all the scales and modes, as well as some exotic ones in the back of the book.
When I first heard songs like Flying in a Blue Dream and Time Machine I couldnt wrap my mind around how Satch was getting the guitar to sound like that; It sounded so foreign.
After someone told me these songs were based of something called a "Lydian mode" I got this book turned to the Lydian mode page, Found the key of the song by ear by using the 6th string as the root, looked at the pretty scale diagram and was able to play right along with it.
Before this book I was only used to blues, minor, and major scales. The book opens up all types of avenues. Then it's all up to how much you wanna explore the road wich is already paved out for you in this book And it's dirt cheap, you cant go wrong with this one lol..

Many thanks Achoo I've just bought it online, it you're right it was cheap, cheaper than say....a burger!!
So since I needed to get my free delivery out of it I bought Joe Satriani's Guitar Secrets, and a Dream Theatre album while I was at it...so there's my retail therapy for today. I can't wait til they arrive.
I'll let you know how I get on with the books.
