Hi Joe

I just wanna, not to rock, but to say you hello. I'm very glad to have the chance to make something, that you will see. I come from Bosnia, and I was just in front of you when you were rocking in Opatija. I'm only seventeen,, but I listen your music from the day of my birth. I whould love to see you again. So please come again to Croatia. You may not know, but in Bosnia your music is very popular and people here know what you are. We love you. You are the best

Do the Stu - Ya, getting out to one of the coasts would be a fun trip. finding some fans to help get you to and from would be very cool. That would be a bummer if Joe's shows line up during the Dave mathews shows. I like Dave Mathews. Very smooth.

I do like some Candlebox. I think if you start with their Self Titled CD, that's agood way to go. There are a couple of explicit words in 1 or 2 songs...nothing major, but I wouldn't play it around children.

What's your thoughts on the chickenfoot project? Pretty excited?

cube, I thought I smelled a moldy ass on the board - welcome back! You always find a way to belly up to the bar with the best of 'em. Way to go London! You missed al's pics of him and Joe. I know how much you'd appreciate a good pic of alan, so go back and find the first one. Mighta been on Friday? I damn near fell off my chair laughing. He's such a precious lil' man. I might even print that one out and take it to work for when I need a laugh. Al is simply priceless!

jblaze, cool beans baby! Myung on yer bass, and was it JP on yer guitar? WOW! Sweet! My son digs Opeth, and he loves DT. That show would have been great for him. lol!

Hey tulsachops, welcome back!

zen, I agree

Last night we had aaaaanother feckin' bat in the house!!! Bloody hell! About 1:30 in the morning I hear my son's bedroom door open and close real quick. He comes rippin' over to my room and says there's something in there swoopin' on him...and he thinks it's a bat. lol! No, no, no way - I'm sleeeeeping! I don't wanna play the bat game! lol! So our cat Stew must have been sitting outside his bedroom door listening to this thing and ran in as soon as my son opened the door. My son said it he felt a breeze go over his head a few times, and heard it hit the mini blinds a few times before he was awake enough say holy shit and peel outta there. lol! So now we have the feckin' cat shut in the room in the dark with a bat. *sigh* My poor husband. lol! You go boy, cause I ain't gettin' up! He had to get dressed and go out to the garage to get the 5 gallon bucket and a piece of cardboard, the "bat catching" gear, (it beats the hell outta my hockey stick and ball net contraption) then get ready for the battle. lol! My son sat on my bed and closed the door every time my husband opened his bedroom door so the bat wouldn't fly into MY room. lol! The bat finally landed, and my husband went in and slammed the bucket over him, and had my son slide the cardboard in under it to make a lid. He carried the whole thing out into the back yard and let the bat go....so it can tell it's friends to stay outta my house! We have no idea how these bats are getting in, but this makes the 3rd one in 5 years...which is three to many! AHHHHH!!

I dedicate this one to my husband. lol!

I think a true musician can be anyone, from theory experts to people who know nothing about the theory side. As long as the person is passionate about the instrument, and enjoys the music they make, then they are a true musician. That doesn't mean though, that people can just pick up an instrument for the first time and be a musician. You have to really care about what you play.

Hey Joe,

I'm a big fan and have you many times in the Denver area. Loved your last G3 Tour with Paul Gilbert and John Petrrucci. We sat 2nd row dead center!! Loved it.

Here is my question. I think it would be really cool to have the fans vote for the next G3 member. I'm hoping that Steve Vai will always be a mainstay but it would be cool to vote in the next guy, etc.

Also, I think it would be so cool if the band covered something from Jimi's "Rainbow Bridge LP." Like Paligap or Hear My Train A Comin."

Thanks Joe.

Sincerely,

Cliff Adcock Denver, Colorado

DO THE STU-thanks for your response. i went back and looked again but the only post i saw from joe was about his amp set up. (may' 05) right underneath that he says he would post a more detailed description of his pedal board in a "news post". not sure if its still out there. i could have sworn i saw it one time and copied and pasted into a file on my computer. problem is my stuff is still in boxes from my move. won't have it set up till Sept. now. i know from the San Fran DVD he gives a back stage tour and shows most of the effects that he uses. i just wanted to nail it down though.

by the way i'm looking for a mini speaker that you can just plug right into the guitar and attach to your guitar strap. don't want to buy a new amp here. have to convert mine to DC. this may take awhile. might be kinda cool to have too! i know vox makes something called an amplug which you can see on their website. not sure if you need headphones. thats not what im looking for. too cumbersome.

michelle bats are so cute, how can ya not like em? id love one as a pet, it could sleep hanging off my ear or summat. are you usa or uk? maybe uncle sams bats are bigger, uk ones are tiny. actually in the uk they are protected so if you got them in ya loft, thats where they stay.

leaving work today, this lad came up to me asking for a box, hed found a baby bird, the bird was way cute and had an expression which i intepretated as 'get lost bigjob'. he was cool and possibly a satch fan. ( well obviously not, t'was a bird, but if i say that, makes it more relevant to a joe satriani forum)

revan, yeah, they're cute when they're in somebody elses house! I think we have the little brown bats up in herre. Sure, they look like little hamsters when they're just sitting there, but when those bitches open up and start flying - they look like a pterodactyl when they're swoopin' on ya! lol!

Duck and weave baby, duck and weave!

geez, u have many types of bats in PA, dontcha chelle....

and you realize by letting them loose each time, they're not going out to tell the other bats where not to go.....oh no.....they're telling all the bats where the NICEST place to go is for a good time, LOL....YER house. Such nice peoples live there they don't even swat at bats...they just catch and release :) after providing a very entertaining show :)

Prolly spreading the word about the 'dinner and a movie' house, LOL....

and I'm sorry but that Hoary bat is just BUTT UGLY ffs!! Ain't nuthin cute about it!

Tell Wavey that next time he must first study the bat up close to determine exactly which kind of bat it is before the show, and report back to us!! Photos would be appreciated......

OR dunt have bats in houses!!!! MOVE!!!

hybes - Have you ever seen DMB in concert? I first saw them back in 2003, and now I try to go to at least three shows each summer. Excellent live show...

Thanks for the Candlebox info. I'll look for that album next time I go music shopping.

I'm very excited about Chickenfoot, but I have to say early on I found the Planet Us project (Satriani, Hagar and Anthony; with Neal Schon and Deen Castronovo from Journey) from a few years ago more exciting. But I think Chad Smith may make this project more musically interesting...so I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'm a big Sammy Hagar fan, so it's cool for him and Satch to be working together in any form.

michelle - Hehehe...your bat stories are always fun, so thanks for sharing them. I remember you having a similar love for spiders...have you had any interesting run-ins with them lately?
lorenzo001 - Ah. If you click the news tab from the home page you can see every news post...so maybe go back to that time period and see if something was ever posted? Although if the information is three years old it might not help you if you want his current info. He's likely added/changed a few pedals and stuff since then.
REVAN 2008 - Joe needs to charge his sunglasses. ;-)

Er... how many pages.....?

Joe/Stu/Mick/Galen/Jeff - evenin' all! : )

Anibur - darn, that's another T2J fan missed. I was on the "aisle" end of E or D. There's a pic of me a few pages back - pretending to be tall : )

Blue Moon - row B... nice! No wonder them Bristol photos are so good! Amazed you got that many with the Photo Cops on hand. Actually, did you get a shot of the pedal board?

Do The Stu - that's a neat idea (ref the "one floating song"). I doubt many people would feel any of the songs were under rehearsed, not from these guys ; ) Why not make it interactive choice too... endless possibilities. Anyway, if the set list stays as is currently for the rest of the tour I'd say it's pretty darn good.

Cheese - nice photos & vids yer postin there. I forgot to say don't worry about gettin to any emails - yer sik, they'll keep. Hope you're takin some medicine an getting rest a plenty. It is weird when that surreal feeling hits. Had the same feeling for G3 Perth. Am I really here... was I really there.... but it's a good feeling!

JS12001000 - but it's a V6, can it be that good on gas?You got some pics now the windows are tinted?

Maxi - it was cool to hang out with you for a little while. It's obvious you have a passion for all music! If you get chance watch Stu Hamms youtube vid called "Hammersmith Apollo" and you'll hear Joe telling Stu the same story ... yep, it was cool. Have to catch up again next tour : )

Michelle - Aw, don't be mean to Ally about his photos. It's a disease I think, bad or weird photo-itis. I suffer from it (apart from the recent Joe photos) and looks like it's spread to Al. Poor guy... I suppose it does look a little, well "post sesh" lol I was going to post Joe's version of May this be Love. Who's the presenter who's joined in/singing? As for DLR, I was lucky enough to catch him and the band once, and he flew over our heads on a surfboard or maybe a giant banana, danced around a boxing ring.... twas a show LOL

Revan2008 and Loll - don't forget "Waiting for the Punchline", their final album... I think that was their best. Saw them a couple of times - anyway, new album called 'Saudades de Rock' and a US tour, hopefully hitting Europe this year, if you're interested.

Wooleyman - PG is so fast I'm "scarified"..... ahem ; b

Have a good Monday everyone!

but really phil-id forgotten about that album, never heard it either, i might have hit my indy phase then, as rock just sort of vanished in the uk, around 95, copared to how big it was late 80's early 90's. ill check it out come payday cheers.

one indy album which is more rock, is the much slated 'second coming ' from the stone roses. driving south and good times sound like they have come straight from the 70s, and tightrope is a fantastic accoustic number, musically and lyric wise. john squire's guitar work is here is solo laden, but his playing is real loose, in a good way. i prefer it by far to there 1st album, worth checking out folks as you might be pleasently surprised.it aint indy which is why it got blasted by indy press maybe.

charge the satchbot? :)
