Wow...Shinedown, never heard of them but well worth finding out about! I particularly like 'Burning Bright' (the little bit that's shown on utube) - acoustic version, but then I always liked the slower tempo tunes. Or the 'sloppy songs' I called them at the height of my Tesla days.

...showing my age....

Hey Blue Moon, sorry to hear about your cat. I lost my cat recently, well I moved house and she decided she didn't like it and ran away. So she's either been killed on the busy road or found another home (heres hoping) but I know how you get attached to these furry creatures.

Chin up you've been through the mill by the looks of things I hope the best for you.

Great guitar playing by the way....loved your video

Ally, sorry to hear about Muffin. Wait, was it Muffin, cause if it was, then it was a McMuffin. Hugs to ya.

castle49, I'm thinking I prefer bats over skunks. lol! eek! We think the bats are getting in the house because they go the wrong way to get out. Maybe if we turn the attic light on every night around 9:00 p.m., they'll go OUT instead of in. lol!

T-Bones, say hi to Michelle! lmao! You'll have to let me know how it ends. I can't make it past 3:30 on the vid. lol!

Now I have to wash that out of my brain with some Joe.

Austin, bats - Ozzy - that's funny! lol!

Keniko, best wishes for a full recovery for yer dad.

Does Barry Manilo know you raid his wardrobe? Do you think that guy has ever had a stressful moment in his life. I'd say I'm a very happy person, but I've never seen anything like Barry in my life!!

hybes - I don't know anything about Bad English. I'm a bit more familiar with Damn Yankees, because I'm a big Aerosmith fan (Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades have written some stuff with them) and a casual Ted Nugent fan.

About SRV...did you see the video that was posted here a few days ago from MTV Unplugged? Him and Joe on a song? I don't know who it came from (maybe it was even you), but I thought I'd mention it.

Keniko - Thanks for posting that interview...it's good to see that the band had a bit more input this time around, but still, I'd love to see them all get together and write/record as a group from scratch. Oh well...maybe someday.
Tuesdayschild - Cool...I think Us And Them is a good Shinedown album to start out with, but their first one (with the song you mentioned) is great too. Their third album, The Sound Of Madness, comes out in a few weeks.

Shinedown's singer, Brent Smith, is one of the best frontmen I've ever seen. I'd put him in my top five along with Steven Tyler, Sammy Hagar, Ed Roland, and Chris Robinson.

I first heard Shinedown when they opened for Van Halen in 2004. They were relatively unknown at the time, but MAN were they able to get everyone in the crowd up on their feet and rocking. Being the opening band on that reunion tour had to have been one of the tougheset gigs ever, but they nailed it.

I saw them the next year in Las Vegas, but they don't seem to tour the West Coast all that much so I haven't seen them since. There don't seem to be any California dates on their upcoming tour, either.

...Austin...

Dear Joe, i'm Arcangelo Pignatelli, an italian cardiologist, with a fantastic passion for guitar. I'm proud to say you are my ever favourite artist but what i like much is that now you're my 12yo son's favourite artist and guitar hero. He listens and tries to play your songs all day long. He adores you and i have to thank you because you are the reason why my guitar passion is flowing from my veins to my son's veins. It's unbelieveble and impossible to describe a man's feeling when he can play guitar with his son! We'll make 1200 kilometers to see you in Villla Manin in Udine (italy) and my son, Miki, can't wait to see you for his first time. Only a little disappointed because there will be no pre-stage or premium tiket packages...or something to let my son know you, talk to you, receive your autograph. Anyhow we both thank you for your music and... see you soon in UDINE.

god bless you arcangelo pignatelli and his son Miki from Taranto, Italy

Do The Stu......You're welcome. Well, it's almost like that....almost. Joe lays everything down and gives the songs to the band to sweeten. Joe trusts there talent and ideas. What I liked about the article is the communication with everyone. Without this....Caos for Joe and any other band. You have to communicate with your bandmates,producer/ engineer or it's over. Otherwords....Check your Ego at the door.......Enter with an open mind......or .......Stay Home......
