Hey Zen, if we're going for old cheezy videos, I prefer something like this!

Steve, Billy, & Greg - just like yesterday - only the Dave's have changed to protect the innocent. ;-)

They were a crazy bunch of mothers. lol!

And since we're talking old friends... Shy Boy

And since PG is putting some stank on the fretboard, might as well pull this one up too!!

That one stands the hair up on the back of my neck ffs! lol!

ha! It's okay t-bones *pat*pat*pat* lmao!!

Zen, even if I haven't heard those old DLR songs for years, they come back to me fresh like I just heard them last week. I love that stuff! lol! Those were some of the best vids on tv. I remember thinking HOW did DLR find a band as good as VH, and to some points, even better! VH started out great, but fizzled before DLR got the boot. The DLR band was killer!

O.K. I can't seem to find the questions I ask so I'm going to ask again, I'm not even sure if I posted it or forgot to hit post lol.

I was wondering, Joe, have you or is your music at all influenced by drugs? And are you planning on going to the Gorge at George, WA or the Spokane Arena(better for me, I'm a lot closer) in any U.S. tours? It would rock to see you live, man.

Peace

Wow!...I did the Dream Theater meet & greet last night.Friggin' incredible show too...I was almost speechless for the meet & greet but I kept my cool.

Michelle.:....Chalk up another signature to the ol' Ibanez.I am running out of room...lol...I also got John Myung to sign my bass too.What a great bunch of cool guys.I should be getting the pictures of me & the band in 2 weeks.Can't wait to see how retarded I look...hee,hee....

Austin:...I didn't care much for the opening acts but they were tight.The band "Three" was the best I thought......John Petrucci lost his rig during the solo for "In the presense of enemies"...Jordan lost his rig too at some point.The curtain came down half way by accident on Opeth which delayed the show for 30 minutes.I didn't get out of the meet & greet until about 2:30 am...I was a happy zombie at work today...lol....Gotta get some more zzzzzzzzzzzz's..talk to you later.

hybes - Last we've heard, there will be a US tour in August/September. I don't know if/how Joe's Chickenfoot recording plans will affect his touring, though.

Personally I'm hoping Joe takes a break for a month or so after the Central American tour, goes into the studio with Chickenfoot, and then goes on the US tour for PSATMOR after that. I'm a bit nervous because I have tickets to see the Dave Matthews Band on August 19, 20, and 22. Joe's latest scheduled show so far is in Mexico on August 13. If he starts the US tour on the West Coast right after that, I may not be able to go to as many shows as I would like because of the other concerts.

When Joe tours the US he typically does 4 or 5 shows in a row and then takes 1 day off. I don't know what size tour he's planning, but if you came to SoCal you could stay in a central location and see shows in San Diego, Anaheim, Los Angeles, and/or Ventura on consecutive nights. Or you could stay in NorCal and do San Francisco, Sacramento, and/or Reno.

You could plan a similar trip on the East Coast. Whatever you decide, I bet you could find Satch fans to travel with. Tracie and her son Chris flew down here for a few Satch shows in 2005 and they ended up carpooling with me to the Ventura show. Freeway traffic is much more bearable when you're riding with other fans...haha.

Anyway, you mentioned Candlebox. Are you a big fan? I've always wanted to give them a listen, but I've never gotten around to buying a CD. What would be a good one to start with?

purple bear - Joe won't be playing venues of that size on the US leg of the PSATMOR tour. He doesn't stop by Seattle on every tour, either, but if he does he'll probably play a theater like the Moore or the Paramount.
jblaze1 - It's good to hear that you enjoyed the show. Three is an excellent band...I saw them open for Porcupine Tree twice last year.

I'd love to hear a bit more about the show, once you get some sleep. ;-)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hey all you happy Satchlanders... I'm back... Thanks for remembering Satriella.... I can always count on you. Looks like pretty much the same crew. Wolf not taking his meds, I see. Chelle and Cheese still hangin. Gee, that's great.I'VE been being lazy and watching a bunch of Steve Morse videos from way back in the Dixie Dregs days. Collected his whole catalog and trying to learn some of it, Also collected all of Ronnie Montrose except an out of print album Bearings that is all acoustical, +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ JOE , if you see this, can I give you a hand and crew when the US tour rolls around? I'll do it for free. I'm serious! I'm a decent guitar tech and like lifting heavy things (hee hee). Do I need to talk to Mick? He's cool with me! Juat shout out when and where and I'll be there ready to kick ass. 9182435050 Bob Bidasio --- Of course I still have the JS you customized with your cool artwork. Michelle : i've to put a nuance. VH was a real band. The DLR group a pro team. But you are right, we can see this team as something like an accomplishement of his VH experience.
Well, it's the morning after. Turns out my 'pa probably wouldn't have been able to withstand Trower forabout 2 hours...just as well we didn't go really! That's hard to say though...missed Robin Trower =-(
Been thinkin', thanks to Nick and PhilTheMetalHead, how do you define a true 'musician'? Is it someone like Hendrix who came to it 'naturally'? Or is it someone like Joe who knows pretty much everything about music? Tough question I've been contemplating recently...
Anyone who hasn't already should check out Joe Bonamassa he has tone, control...and I've seen him! (so I can assure you he is very very good) That clip really gets going about 2:10. Kinda makes you wan't to say sod the Ibanez, I'll get a Les Paul...=D
So please come again to Croatia. You may not know, but in Bosnia your music is very popular and people here know what you are. We love you. You are the best
Do the Stu - Ya, getting out to one of the coasts would be a fun trip. finding some fans to help get you to and from would be very cool. That would be a bummer if Joe's shows line up during the Dave mathews shows. I like Dave Mathews. Very smooth.
I do like some Candlebox. I think if you start with their Self Titled CD, that's agood way to go. There are a couple of explicit words in 1 or 2 songs...nothing major, but I wouldn't play it around children.
What's your thoughts on the chickenfoot project? Pretty excited?
cube, I thought I smelled a moldy ass on the board - welcome back! You always find a way to belly up to the bar with the best of 'em. Way to go London! You missed al's pics of him and Joe. I know how much you'd appreciate a good pic of alan, so go back and find the first one. Mighta been on Friday? I damn near fell off my chair laughing. He's such a precious lil' man. I might even print that one out and take it to work for when I need a laugh. Al is simply priceless!
jblaze, cool beans baby! Myung on yer bass, and was it JP on yer guitar? WOW! Sweet! My son digs Opeth, and he loves DT. That show would have been great for him. lol!
Hey tulsachops, welcome back!
zen, I agree
Last night we had aaaaanother feckin' bat in the house!!! Bloody hell! About 1:30 in the morning I hear my son's bedroom door open and close real quick. He comes rippin' over to my room and says there's something in there swoopin' on him...and he thinks it's a bat. lol! No, no, no way - I'm sleeeeeping! I don't wanna play the bat game! lol! So our cat Stew must have been sitting outside his bedroom door listening to this thing and ran in as soon as my son opened the door. My son said it he felt a breeze go over his head a few times, and heard it hit the mini blinds a few times before he was awake enough say holy shit and peel outta there. lol! So now we have the feckin' cat shut in the room in the dark with a bat. *sigh* My poor husband. lol! You go boy, cause I ain't gettin' up! He had to get dressed and go out to the garage to get the 5 gallon bucket and a piece of cardboard, the "bat catching" gear, (it beats the hell outta my hockey stick and ball net contraption) then get ready for the battle. lol! My son sat on my bed and closed the door every time my husband opened his bedroom door so the bat wouldn't fly into MY room. lol! The bat finally landed, and my husband went in and slammed the bucket over him, and had my son slide the cardboard in under it to make a lid. He carried the whole thing out into the back yard and let the bat go....so it can tell it's friends to stay outta my house! We have no idea how these bats are getting in, but this makes the 3rd one in 5 years...which is three to many! AHHHHH!!
I dedicate this one to my husband. lol!
I think a true musician can be anyone, from theory experts to people who know nothing about the theory side. As long as the person is passionate about the instrument, and enjoys the music they make, then they are a true musician. That doesn't mean though, that people can just pick up an instrument for the first time and be a musician. You have to really care about what you play.
Hey Joe,
I'm a big fan and have you many times in the Denver area. Loved your last G3 Tour with Paul Gilbert and John Petrrucci. We sat 2nd row dead center!! Loved it.
Here is my question. I think it would be really cool to have the fans vote for the next G3 member. I'm hoping that Steve Vai will always be a mainstay but it would be cool to vote in the next guy, etc.
Also, I think it would be so cool if the band covered something from Jimi's "Rainbow Bridge LP." Like Paligap or Hear My Train A Comin."
Thanks Joe.
Sincerely,
Cliff Adcock Denver, Colorado
