Hi Joe,
My dad and I saw you at Guitar Center in Chicago. It was the greatest musical night of my life and my father's night.
I'm coming to California June 14-21 and was wondering if I could get a lesson with you.
Thanks,
Craig

Hi Joe,
Don't know how often you look at these but just wanted to let you know I am gonna try and get to the LIMS this weekend!
I have a new friend in China how is already trying to copy the saturator. It's called the nedulator which takes distorted sound and cleans it all up.
It's really cool, you can put anything through it and it all then sounds like a strat through a frender princeton!
Just Kidding!
SEE YOU SATURDAY
Ned

Good Morning Satchland......How R U ?
My dad past on Sun. He was 82 yrs. old. Cindy and I went to see him over the week end in Wisconsin. His motor skills were gone and was just breathing. I talked with about all the GREAT times we had together and thanked him for making me the man I am today. I told him I will never forget him and he'll live on through my heart, music and guitar. The nurse gaurenteed he heard every word I said as he tried to reach out to me and tried so hard to talk. Ooohhh how I wanted to see him smile and talk agian. I'd give anything for that. I'm so glad I was there for him and it was good for me as well. I wrote a song for him about 7 yrs. ago and we're gonna play at his service. By a stroke of luck he called me last Labor Day week end and the phone machine recorded about 3 min. of our conversation and I kept it all this time and glad I did. I'm adding pieces of this to his song and I think my dad would love how it turned out.
Thank you all for your kind words. They really do mean a lot to me. You guys are the best......Hugs to all......
When It's my time and I'm in
heaven this is what I'm gonna do.
Have A Great Day Everyone and Hug your Loved Ones !!!!

Here are videos of the two songs Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones played at the Foo Fighters gig the other night (the show that hybes mentioned and no one commented on...what's wrong with you people???):
Rock And Roll
Ramble On
And again, with the gas prices...you can't really compare them internationally because different countries add different taxes to gas. We have fewer gas taxes in the US, but we pay that money in other ways. Anyway...
REVAN 2008 - I think Tracie meant "C-minus" as in COLD! ;-)
A few years ago I saw Jeff drive up to a gig at the Fillmore in San Francisco in his own truck. I saw Joe get out of a car either that day or the next night at the venue. Since Jeff was in his own vehicle I figure Joe may have been as well...it was just a black SUV. There wasn't anything fancy about it.
KingDiomond - None of the G307 shows were professionally recorded.
Mahavishnu - Thanks for posting about the Return To Forever gig. They're playing down here soon...this Friday, I think it is? I'm bummed; I have to work that night.
Igneousiceman - If I had to vote for one of the Republicans or Democrats who have been in the running, I'd probably go for McCain. But I don't have to do that...
I'll likely vote for a third-party candidate.
Superstrings - I never thought about The Traveler being similar to All Along The Watchtower, but I can see (hear) that. Do you get that vibe in Chords Of Life? That jumped out at me right away when I first heard it.
hybes - Part of it is passion, yeah, but a lot of it is just me and my crazy memory. ;-) And I guess it helps having bootlegs of some of those shows...if the date is scribbled on the sleeve the CDs are kept in, it's hard to forget when the show was.
Marcrainey - Congrats on making it into the podcast...again!
Keniko - I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I know you know this, but we're here if you need anything.
Does he have a favorite Satch song? Or is there one that makes you think of him? Something we can listen to in his memory...?

OME,
I'll tell you something funny: the name of the quality control inspector on the labels was the same on all the guitars.
It has to be said though, Ibanez remain my fave electric guitar manufacturer.
The JS1200 that I have now is an absolute delight to play and a beautiful object.
It's just that from the borrowed Artist model I played when I was young, to my first RG570, 1991 model, to my 2007 J.Custom, the quality had always been absolutely incredible for the price.
On the current Prestige range, well... it seems it's not consistent at all.

Hi Satch
Hope you'll find someone to transate my words. Think it sounds better in French , just two words : un - forgettable
Hope to see u on stage in France soon, to see a guitar fireworks of emotions again
Love from France
Mad
