Do the Stu - I think what's really clicked for me with those 2 songs is the rythm guitar. Everytime I listen to those songs I think, that's some of the best rythm I've heard from Joe yet. When Super Colosal first came out I thought it was pretty good. I got into most of it. But that cd really took off for me overall after the live 2006 dvd came out. When Joe took those songs and did them live, MAN!! I mean that did it for me. That was some great work.
I hope you find that file on your computer and post it. I would love to hear that with better quality.
Just sitting here jamming to some Robin Trower again. Haven't gotten into Robin for some time, but I've really been getting back into him lately. Livin out of Time is a great cd of his if any of you are not familiar with Robin Trower. Great guitar player. If you like SRV, then you'll really get into Livin out of Time by Trower.

Poop, I just figured out how this one works...
Oh well........
In the mainframe twixt having, yesterday, posted my i-Axe back to the the bad people who sent me a duff number ~ but they did promise to send a replacement real soon ~ I got nothing to do except pootle on the old Fender acoustic.... but I could say that some weeks back I wondered off to Hammersmith..... and my head went to Heaven!!!!!
If I never go to another concert in my life, it wouldn't matter! I sat in the local park the next day ( yeah! I've got a dog ) and let the whole experience wash over me.... and the last 'bestest' concert to that evening that I could remember was Jethro Tull at the Wembley Arena back in 1983 ( the Broadsword concert ).... 25 years!!! and a lot of noise has gone down in between hand, but you guys were the best thing this century.... and I reckon unless Mick Taylor gets back with the Stones nothing is going to sound better!
Loved the footwear Satch, from where I was boogying it was a sort of Hobbit meets Gollum dance.... I'm not kidding, I just went off somewhere into space but watched those big red shoes bopping around in that majestic dance.
If I'd have been able to figure out how this posting thing worked prior to the 20th May I would have requested 'Until We Say...' ... but what the heck? Thank you Joe, and Jeff, Stu, and Galen for what will be one of the most memorable evenings of my life.
Mick

I saw Liquid Tension Experiment in concert tonight. I was expecting awesomeness and they didn't disappoint. There was a point during Universal Mind where John's guitar rig went dead...it was right before the keyboard solo, so Jordan played this improv thing for a few minutes. Very cool...
They had a few cameras there, so maybe it'll end up as a DVD. I'll let everyone know if I hear more...
hybes - I don't know if this will make sense, but I think my biggest problem with Super Colossal is that it sounds like an inside-out album.
There are a lot of cool guitar parts, but they aren't where I want them to be. The crazy licks are used as a fill between a verse and chorus, instead of being THE verse or chorus riff. Or Joe will stumble upon a new experimental sound, but it ends up being used for the rhythm track instead of the lead.
Also, I think of all his albums, this one sounds the most like leads played on top of backing tracks. I just don't like that vibe.
Again, I don't know if this makes sense...maybe I'll give the album a spin again and pick out some specific moments so you get an idea of what I mean.
There are instructions for links (as well as bold/italic text, and other things) at the bottom of the "post message" page. If that's a bit confusing, lemme dig up something I posted recently for someone else who asked that question...
To get a link like this:
Click here to go to Google.
Type this:
<linkurl="http://www.google.com/">Click here to go to Google.</link>
To get a link like this:
http://www.google.com/
Type this:
<link>http://www.google.com/</link>
In both cases, you need to use the [ ] brackets instead of the < > ones that I just used. (I can't type [ ] in my example or it'll turn into a link and you won't see the code.)

I just got my Club Joe tickets - wondering, is it acceptable to take a guitar for him to autograph? I've never done this kind of thing before, so I'm a little clueless.

PhilTheMetalhead - Acid Rain was awesome. They opened with it, which was cool because it's the first LTE song I ever heard. Someone at T2J recommended it to me ahead of the G3 2001 tour with John Petrucci.
The first half of the song was pretty faithful to the album version, but the solos at the end went a little further. Very nice...
gotta have Joe - I'm sorry to hear that, Kayla. Things will get better, but it'll take time. The best thing to do is stay busy...go out with friends, play guitar, find a new hobby, talk to crazy T2Jers, etc.
I know I haven't talked to you about this much, but I gather you've been through a lot of pain recently...I think this is a good step toward making things better.
Treese - Yeah, you can bring your guitar for Joe to sign.
