Michelle, I cant rememeber which song it was, as I was just to excited over all. . But it was the same seris of notes. the same notes and every time joe played those notes in the song, that riff etc, my balls fully vibrated and they also felt like they was humming.

So thats the first. never before has any guitarist made my balls vibrate. now I will be searching my gutair neck for the secret ball humming series of notes.

So hey I can honestly say. Joes your playing makes my balls vibrate.

I am sure you will love it michelle, maybe you will get lucky and have some vibrating goin on also. Respect. A

Went to see Malmsteen on Wednesday night, i might put a few noses out of joint here, but it was the best display with a guitar that i've ever set eyes on. Thats the first time i've seen him and it just had to be seen to be believed, if anyone has a ticket to see him on this tour then believe me you're in for a treat. If you dont have a ticket then i suggest you get one pretty quick.

Hey all......

I am rather chuffed.....got a laptop cheap this week....at last able to download the videos from Joe and Paul Gigis from my camera....no internet at home though...so cant share em yet...

Do the Stu - Hiya...yep....will pop by....I know a secret involoving you....and if you knew about it you would freak out!

keniko - awwww you worked so hard on your band...such a shame it had to be dissolved....but congratulations on becoming a new member of the Max Cady Band...hope you enjoy it!

MikeSB - Thought of you as I visited All Out Guitar...a hundred times hunting for Edward Box....got his new album with Vendetta. Hope you are OK

BigBunny - Whoops...thats the trouble with being behind and having to skip through the posts all the time LOL...well glad you had a good time....its so annoying getting nervous isn't it....you have all these things you have been thinking to say for months, the time comes, your mind goes blank, you say hello all girly, shake his hand and walk off...then you look back thinking...oh no...i missed my chance to ask....then everything you were gonna say comes flooding back! LOL and Grrrr

Revan2008 - huh! Dont talk to me about I-pods.... its ridiculous...you cant transfer stuff from your i-pod onto a new computer, therefore cannot manage it at all...unless you have internet...which i dont at home....so i stuck...still at least i got all joe and pauls albums on there plus a good 20 other albums and some singles....but annoying that i cannot now change anything!

Campbell - I caught Malmsteen briefly at the London Guitar Show...only his last one and a half numbers though...it was a real dilemma....joes signing was at the same time as he was playing...needless to say I chose Joe...but it was cool coz by pure chance I was standing next to a fellow talk to joer and we had a good chat...and yeah you are right...he is pretty awesome! (malmsteen...not the talk to joer LOL)

Hugs Satriella xx

DREAM THEATER LIVE DVD SETS TO BE RELEASED IN SEPTEMBER

New York, NY: Few bands inspire such fanaticism among their fans as Dream Theater. The best way to satiate this dedicated legion is to provide them with even more material to devour and Dream Theater are doing just that this September.

The band will release Chaos In Motion 2007/2008, which documents their "Chaos In Motion" world tour, which kicked off June 3, 2007 at the Monsters of Rock Festival in Milan, Italy and concluded almost a year to the day later on June 4, 2008 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It's essentially a travelogue of their most recent touring experience and it hits shelves on September 23.

Chaos In Motion 2007/2008 will be available in two configurations: as a double DVD set and as five disc collector's set which includes two DVDs and three CDs, containing 14 live tracks featured in the DVD set and expanded artwork.

The Chaos in Motion Tour was a trek that found the band traversing the globe, playing 115 shows in 105 cities in 35 countries on five continents to hundreds of thousands of fans. It also included the first annual Progressive Nation Tour, an idea that the band had kicked around for a few years and finally launched into action this past spring.

Chaos In Motion 2007/2008 is the latest in a series of DVDs from the band and it features performances captured throughout the entirety of the tour, unlike their last three RIAA-certified Platinum DVDs, Metropolis 2000: Live Scenes From New York, Live at Budokan and Score, all of which focused on as single concert event.

Drummer and DVD creative director Mike Portnoy plumed his personal archives for footage in order to provide fans with the ultimate tour souvenir. He assembled over three hours of complete live performances, taking footage from shows in Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, Toronto, Boston, Bangkok and Vancouver.

The tracks were mixed and effectively brought to life by Kevin Shirley. The second disc is packed with bonus material, including promo videos, live screen projection films, a photo gallery and a 90-minute documentary that'll make you feel like you're riding in the passenger's seat of the band's tour bus, as it takes you on the road and behind the scenes with the band and crew. It's like a virtual backstage pass that grants fans further unprecedented access.

The official content and tracklisting for the DVD are as follows and are subject to change: Double DVD Set Disc One: “Around The World In 180 Minutes” Live Concert Footage: Intro/Also Sprach Zarathustra, Constant Motion, Panic Attack, Blind Faith, Surrounded, The Dark Eternal Night, Keyboard Solo, Lines In The Sand, Scarred, Forsaken, The Ministry Of Lost Souls, Take The Time, In The Presence Of Enemies, Medley: I. Trial Of Tears II. Finally Free III. Learning To Live IV. In The Name Of God V. Octavarium. Disc Two: "Behind The Chaos On The Road” Documentary; Promo Videos: Constant Motion, Forsaken, Forsaken (In Studio), The Dark Eternal Night (In Studio); Live Screen Projection Films: The Dark Eternal Night (N.A.D.S), The Ministry Of Lost Souls, In The Presence Of Enemies Pt. 2; “Mike Portnoy Stage Tour”; “Mike Portnoy Backstage Tour”; Photo Gallery.

Deluxe Collector's Edition 5-Disc Set: Chaos In Motion 2007/2008 Double DVD Set PLUS: * 3 CD's containing the live 14 tracks featured in the DVD set * Expanded artwork and more.

Indeed, Chaos In Motion 2007/2008 is a completist piece that will keep Dream Theater diehards satisfied until the band takes to the road again.

Metallica Boxes Up 'Death Magnetic'

Metallica is offering hardcore fans a "coffin box" edition of its upcoming album, "Death Magnetic," due in September via Warner Bros.

In addition to the album, the package will include a disc of demos, a behind-the-scenes DVD chronicling the making of "Death Magnetic," a T-shirt, a flag, guitar picks and a poster.

Also featured is a Metallica credit card with a code redeemable for a download of a "special European show happening in September." This edition is only available from the band's Web site.

As previously reported, Metallica is offering a variety of insider perks to fans who join its Mission: Metallica club, including "fly on the wall" studio footage, contests, merchandise and downloads.

17.5%?!? Are they creating rolling blackouts for appearance sake too?

Hmmm I've never experienced vibrating balls at a concert before. Though the hair on my neck would get erect lol...

John-The guitar is nice but it's $900, If I had that much I would just get a JSguitar, I need one for about $500, and so far all I have found is the Ibanez RG Edge III I think that is what I am going to get, but I have to try it out first of course.

A versatile, affordable rocker's weapon.

This Ibanez RG electric guitar's pickups and pickup placement provide the hard-edged cutting tone needed for heavy rock. With a bridge humbucker, middle single coil, and neck humbucker, you'll never run out of tone options.

As heavy as it rocks, this RG guitar is made of basswood, a comparatively lightweight wood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood sits right between alder and mahogany in sound character. The guitar's flamed maple top not only adds beauty, but just a bit of extra brightness to make individual notes stand out. 24 frets offer easy playing for leads and chording and the Edge III tremolo bridge lets you divebomb all night long. A locking nut helps keep you in tune.

Since 1987, many players have selected the Ibanez RG as their weapon of choice for visiting sonic mayhem on the metal masses. With the right choice of pickups and flat, fast necks, the RG guitar has crunched its way to classic status.

Ibanez RG Edge III Electric Guitar Features: Body Type: Solid Body Wood: Basswood Top Wood: Flamed Maple Neck Joint: Bolt On Neck Wood: Maple 3pc Fretboard: Bound Rosewood Neck Shape: U # Frets: 24 Inlay: Sharktooth Nut Width: 43mm Fretboard Radius: 400mmr Bridge: Edge III Pickup Bridge: Ibz Inf4 Pickup Middle: Ibz Infs3 Pickup Neck: Ibz Inf3 Tuners: Die-Cast Finish: Transparent Gloss (should I get Transparent Blue or Transparent Grey Burst?)

Well I am gonna try and play it today, I have to shop around but I don't know if I will find any thing better (well for $500) off to Guitar Center, good n loud music, guitarshop etc (WARD-BRODT MUSIC HALL GOT RID OF THEIR GUITARS AND GOT MORE PIANOS!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!) >.<

And also, what strings should I get? What gauge does Joe use the majority of the time?

And what cables does everybody recommend? I have a pair that has a life time warranty, they worked for about two years then the connection became loose and now makes really loud annoying crackling sounds when they are moved. I would take them back because of the lifetime warranty but Music-go-Round's lease was up and moved before I could go, so I need some new ones.

Tell me some accessories I should get. I have a capo and tuner, but anything that will help I will probably get.

thanx 4evrything

Woohoo...I just bought my HOB San Diego ticket. Is anyone else going to that show?

Blue_Moon - Cool...the video looks good. And I like the backing.
Satriella - You know a secret about me? Uh oh...can you give me any hints? ;-)

If you dig around on the internet, I bet you can find a program that will transfer your music from your iPod to your new computer so you don't have to spend hours and hours re-ripping everything. Maybe you can have someone else find the program for you and give it to you on a disk, if you don't have internet access on that computer?

Zinc Master - Thanks for the DT info. I knew that release was coming...it's good to see that it's sooner rather than later.

...Austin...
