Hi Joe,
I don't know if you'll ever read this message as you're a very busy man, but I hope you are well. I just wanted to say that I REALLY enjoyed your concert at the London Guitar Show yesterday!!! It was so inspirational and makes me wanna practice my guitar even more!!
I really enjoyed meeting you too! (I'm the little Indian girl with the groovy t-shirt!) Thanks for the signature and thanks for the hug!! You're a very sweet person and I'm glad to have met you! I'll remember it forever!
Shuvster xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
P.S. I met Stu Hamm once because he came to give a masterclass at my music college! (ACM). Tell him I say Hi! ;D

the fella who waited 45 mins- at least you saw joe play, be happy, i couldn't afford to go, due to taxi fare back from the city, but im not going to stop listening to joe or summat.
merchandise is always expensive, at any gig, i paid 25 quid for a metallica t-shirt in'92 or 93'.
and its not like you have to buy merchandise anyway is it?
cheese is right, it can take hours to get out of a show,so dont take it personally.
on another note, how does joe get that facemelting sound on the 2nd solo of ice9? infact all thats missing from joes modern day music are the tunes where he sounds like hes playing a laser, like SWTA,shalla-Bal, summer song, etc
anyone reckon mr.S has played Half-Life 2, great piece of contemporary sci-fi.
'so wake up mr.freeMan and smell the ashes'
one of the greatest games ever.

Hi Joe, I ´m from Venezuela and I´m very excited to see you here, so only one question, I would really like a lot that you perform on this show "Ten Words". Do you think if this is possible? It means a lot to me for me and my wife. Your music is awesome I got all your albums and Dvd´s. Your vibe helps me a lot when I was studying, driving, working and even when I´m on bad mood. You rock.
See ya on August.

Hi, i am really excited about Joe touring Down under again. I saw him play with the G3 and several of his solo tours over the last 10 years or so. It's a pleasure to see a muso who will tour australia, if I liked Madonna I would have been waiting for more that 10years, Iron Maiden 14 years etc etc. I know Joe must appreciate this, as each gig I have been to has been packed solid. I have heard a rumour that Mick Jagger will be touring with him, can anybody shed light on the subject??? Cheers from Aust.

hey Joe ! I am from Romania and I am one of your bigest fans. Yesterday I been with someone to visit a guitarist in here. He teaches a few people. This guitarist is really talented. The big problem I seen is his guitar. It is made out of pieces because this guitarist is really poor. He can't afford to buy a decent guitar. He bought a neck a body. Then he bought pick-ups, he builded a bridge on his own and then he went to a car painter to paint his guitar.
Do you think guitar is not important?
The man plays unbelievable good. Anyway I hate his guitar, it looks like hell.
The other thing I seen was how much this young man wants a new guitar. He loooks at them on web sites, he knows what he wants to buy. And he knows all the details about the guitar he dreams to buy. i thought I would help him but it looks like decent guitars are too exepnsive for me, even the cheaper ones.
To me it was like a real life drama. His mother died recently. I write a lot of story and now I think about writing a screenplay for a move. I can't believe this happens.
I thought you might like to read a drama with guitars and guitarists. Anyway it is real. I can prove it.
I discovered real life is more dramatic than any fantasy.
f you liked the story write me back joe !
Please !

Yep Cheese time for a break and Downunder they come :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Stu is only 3 weeks and oneday away :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Hmmmmmmmm can ya tell im kinda getting excited :) :) :)
gitarist182 - Should have just stuck around Joe is one of the few true artists out there who sticks by his fans he sends people on the forum messages of blue all the time when they least expect it to lift their spirits the last 2 tours downunder joe has done instore signings with hundreds of fans to get a handshake and signature and joe does it all with a smile loving every minute so i am more than sure if u had waited another 30 mins or even hour u would have got that handshake but you cant expect a guy to do a show jump off the stage and run out the back and get mobbed for photos and autographs jesus 45 mins the poor guy probably only just finished a drink and getting changed and warming down and if he does the aftershow pass then you can expect to wait 2 hrs !!!!!!!!!!!
BOO72AUST ; As far as i know Mick Jagger isn't touring with Joe downunder but he does have Vanishing Point as a support act for both the Melbourne shows not sure about the other states havent read anything and also Stu Hamm is doing # Hartke Clinics downunder in Melb,Syd,and i think Bris or S.A tickets are $15 for the melb show.
ALSO BIG QUESTION FOR ANYONE OUT THERE THAT HAS BEEN TO A PSATMOR GIG DOES ANYONE HAVE A NICE PHOTO THEY HAVE TAKEN OF STU HAMM THAT THEY COULD SEND ME SO I CAN GET IT BLOWN UP AND SIGNED WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT???????? E-mail to hugesatchfan@hotmail.com with thanks Jamie A

cheese101 - Thanks for posting those videos...but did you hear what I heard? Stu said something about having dropped Out Of The Sunrise... :-(
I know they played a few festivals, and I understand why it'd be dropped there, but I thought the shows in the Netherlands were normal concerts. I hope it comes back for the US tour...I don't want this to be a repeat of ITLIS?, where Joe played The Traveler and If I Could Fly (my favorite song from each of those albums) across the US and then dropped them when he did the West Coast leg. Argh...
Shuvster - It's good to hear you enjoyed the Satch gig. Welcome to the site, by the way...tell us a bit about yourself. What are some of your favorite Satch songs?
Stevee T - Joe hasn't said too much about it here, but yes, the Chickenfoot project is real. I wouldn't be surprised if Joe is a bit reluctant to talk about it...he really hyped Planet Us, but that project died before they were able to do much of anything.
REVAN 2008 - "he sounds like hes playing a laser"
Hehehe...that's an excellent way to describe that tone.
BOO72AUST - I HIGHLY doubt Mick Jagger will be playing with Joe. They may be on the same bill at a festival, but I think even that's a stretch.
Joe did play guitar for Mick Jagger during one of his solo tours in the late 80s, but that's it. If I had to guess I'd say that's where the rumor came from...maybe someone misread a Satch press released that mentioned Mick.
Welcome to the site, by the way... :-)
...Austin...

guitarist 182- i think your problem was that you expected too much. if you went to the show just to have a good time and hear joes music you probably would've had a better experience. well, now you know if you've followed up on the posts here what you need to do next time. smoke a fatty and "don't worry be happy!"

Guitarist182: Too bad you had this experience....
i was there as well.....and it was one of the greatest satch performances i have yet seen......and i've seen quite a few allready......
i dont know if you have been to many concerts, but the prices are a bit high, but thats usual, shirts, posters, caps, they are allways pretty expensive......not only at a satriani concert.....
it is normal for the artists to be in the venue a lot longer, especially if they have these aftershow-thingies, and club-joe arrangements....so waiting outside will take a lot of patience......
Joe is a great guy, and if you have watched the podcasts, you would have noticed him going out in the streets in daylight, meeting fans, putting them in his little funny movies, and it is quite known to a lot of people that joe really appreciates his fans, and is always nice to them if he meets them....
too bad this made you decide you will never go to one of his concerts again just by this single experience.....
Just going to paradiso, THE dutch dream-venue for concerts like this.....it made it an incredible experience for me.......
thnx Joe.....

Couple of days far from this forum..
Just very busy.
Listening more & more to Nine Inch Nails, & i've to say that to me it's one of the more interesting & creative bands i've heard since long time.
I don't introduce them... but for those who are interested, their vids are awesome :
Only
Closer
Perfect Drug
Just bought their last instrumental & very experimental double cd album called Ghosts I-IV. The whole opus proposes 36 songs all under the sign of experiment & minimalism. But all the pieces joined together constitute a very complex album. Between Satie, Peter Gabriel & NIN.. One of the best things i've heard since long time.
Here, Ghost 12
Trent Reznor is a rare artist.
