I've never seen the video Blue_Moon posted before, either.

BUT...here's a cooler one that I found after that video ended:

Joe Satriani on David Letterman - The Extremist (1992)

Check out Joe's wardrobe! ;-)

Anyway, I'm psyched...Satch will be in LA on 11/13. I'm able to get time off at work through the 19th, I think, so I should be able to make it to three or so other shows without any trouble. Woohoo...!

...Austin...

Watching Letterman's band leader (Paulie??) jam out with Joe was quite amusing! Boy, Joe's band sure has a different look doesn't it?

I had a question about the attendance sign up. I am going to try to get my wife to go with me to the Dallas show (haven't talked her into it yet, but I think she will...it's not her kind of music, but she's always up for something new). What do you get if you win the drawing, and how do you sign up? Do you purchase the tickets from Joe's site?

Maybe it's a stealth presale of the prem presale michelle ;-)

You guys all mentioned greats songs I'd love to hear any of them again! And Stu you're right esp the ones that were not played on tour. How about Theme for a Strange World? That is a killer tune! Galen would just have to woodshed it for awhile to get the grove down is all ;-)

I've just bought tickets to see the Satch at Enmore Theatre in Sydney Australia on 15/6/08 but on this site it says the concert is at the Forum in Melbourne. I want to get premium tickets but am worried that they may not be valid if the details are wrong.

Good Morning Satchland......So What Up?

I remember Joe on Letterman. That's right around when we met Joe for the first time at Riviera Theater in Chicago. Joe had the Bissonette bros. on tour with him. I'm surprised they weren't on Letterman. The keyboardist on Letterman was on the tour(forget his name.I think he was a French dude) Joe's pants were great. I think he wore those at the Riviera Theate. The Time Machine CD shows pics of Joe with those pants on with a shirt that says "Pure" if I remember right. The mind is a terrible thing to waste...lol.....To much of Mother Nature's Herb...lol.....

Bigbunny......If I could Fly and Love Thing are a couple my favs also. Flying In A Blue Dream is still my all time fav. I look at If I Could Fly as Flying Part Duex. It sounds to me like a continuation. Hugs to ya.

fiboacci1618......Cool.....It's always nice to meet people here at T2J. Especially when there from around where you live. So you worked on I-355. Thats about a strong mile from my house. BTW....FYI.....They've extended 355 South to I-80. I haven't made the treck yet but I heard it's really nice. They also redid Lake St. in Addison. It's got a center turn lane with sidewalks and new street lamps. It's really nice. Traffic flows beautifully now. Take Care

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! ! !

thanks pj!

Hey Ken...man I'm seriously thinking of coming up there for the satch show. I haven't been to the Chicago Theatre before, it looks really nice. I went to a TON of concerts as a teenager there. I don't think I can ever remember them all. The first was Pink Floyd at Soldier Field for Animals tour when I was a freshman for my 15th bday. Most were at the international amplitheater, poplar creek, alpine valley, aragon ballroom, rosemont, comiskey park...man those were some good times!

Hey my last apartment there was just up Lake Street in Hanover Park. What I miss most there is the PIZZA! It's just not the same here. I went through withdrawls when I moved here and had to learn how to make it myself lol.

Flying in a Blue Dream...yeah that's a great one. I got serious chills when Joe started the show with that one in 2006. The feedback he had going at nokia was incredible that night, way more than the dvd they taped a few days later...

From Runners World . . .

Non-Runner Dies While Not Running

A Mississippi man died yesterday while not running in a local marathon.

Les Actiff, 43, of Jackson, Miss., collapsed while watching television in his Hattiesburg home. Attempts to revive him failed, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

He was still clutching a bucket of fried chicken.

Like 25% of the U.S. population, Actiff was obese. Federal statistics show that nearly a third of U.S. adults 20 years and older are obese; about two-thirds are overweight. Actiff had been a non-runner for more than 20 years, according to his family and friends.

Family members were stunned.

"I don't get it," said his wife, Bess. "He didn't run all his life. He was always so inactive. And now, this. You just never know, I guess."

"At least he died doing what he loved," she added. "Not running."

Spectators gathered outside Actiff's home were similarly shocked.

"I'll never not run," said one woman. "It's too dangerous."

A large man in a scooter, out walking his dog, was more fatalistic: "If you can avoid doing a single positive thing for your health your whole life, just sit around like a lump and eat poorly and then still drop dead... Well, I just don't know. I guess when it's your time, it's your time."

Actiff appears to have died from atherosclerotic heart disease, according to Lamar County Coroner Paul Caste.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, at the Pizza Hut off of I-59.
