Hello, Mister Joe :) I have created a song. It is very sad. And one amazing guitarist told me, that this song is your "Tears in the rain" plagiarism. Can you prove or deny it? Your opinion (you are author of "Tears in the rain") is very import for me...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM_0_jHjTYE

this is my song.

Bunny, I'm sure he picked up the papers, and he probably read them on the way to Adelaide. I was at the front right in front of Stu, he launched a plec right at the old guy next to me and nearly knocked him out!! He might have been sleeping tho ;o)) If you want original copies of any just post on this forum and I'll send them to you....

OK, the rest of Joe's California dates need to be posted now. I'd like to know what the rest of the tour looks like so I can decide whether or not to buy tickets for the San Diego show...argh. Joe or webmaster Jon, can you at least provide some hints as to what other cities will be included?

BigBunny - Thanks for the info on Out Of The Setlist, er, I mean, Out Of The Sunrise. It's a bummer. I'm just speculating here, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out it was dropped because it wasn't interesting enough to the rest of the band. In some European YouTube clips I heard a keyboard in the song...Joe isn't touring with a keyboard player so I guess that's a backing track. And with that, it doesn't let anyone else in the band change up any parts...so they're stuck playing the same riff over and over.

I told Joe on the Guitar Center tour that I thought it could become a new Cool #9 for him, where there's a lot of improv...I guess it's not working out like that, though.

After posting my reply to REVAN 2008 below, I'm wondering...do you remember if Stu did a call and response thing with Joe during the Summer Song intro? It seemed to be about 50/50 on the YouTube clips I've seen from this tour.

REVAN 2008 - Summer Song was one of my first favorite Satch songs, so it's one of the "hits" I do always look forward to. A few years ago I thought it was getting kind of stale, but Joe dropped it for a tour and I think that did some good. So I love it again now.
hybes - I wish I could find something on the ESPN music...it's really bugging me now. I'm wondering now if maybe I actually found out about it on another board, and that got confused with here.

Next time you hear it, let me know the date and time of the broadcast. I work at a newspaper, and an old coworker of mine freelances for ESPN.com. Maybe I can have him get me in touch with someone who knows what the music is.

Also, 911Tabs is usually the first place I go when I want to look for something...it's a safe site.

Wavy_davy_dymo - Awesome...thanks for the info. A Chickenfoot tour would be awesome...I'm guessing that'd be Spring 2009?

Cool photos, too...thanks for sharing. :-)

mikesb - Thanks... I may be going to Amoeba soon (best record store ever!); they might actually have the rare album you mentioned. I'll let you know.
jsTony - Hi...it looks like you arrived here while I was taking a bit of a break from T2J, but welcome back! :-)

It's good to hear that your daughter is doing better...do you have any pictures you can share? Have you played her any Satch yet?

elpp - Oh well...it's cool that you dig Shinedown's singer's voice at least. And we still have all that other music in common. ;-)

I'll post my top 10 bands or so in a few hours (so it can be in its own smaller post).

...Austin...

Love the pic on the guitar big BIG SMACK for you if ya play it and smudge it off :( LOL not sure how u will go clear coating it as it already is clearcoated so u will have to rub it back so the fresh clear sticks properly i would just buy a new guitar from second hand dealer or get a cheap ibby to play again BB
Would be a shame to rub that off playing it though it looks great :) :) :) :)

jsTony, congrats to you and wifey on your sweet baby daughter, I've been wondering and wondering how things were going. I'm sorry for her problems, that must have been so scary for you both....but very happy to hear all is well now and you're all home safe and together. Kiss and a hug to Jenna from auntie cheese, lol! And yep, photos one day are a MUST please!

Leeanne, no worries on your review, I enjoyed reading it! And I don't know if this will reassure you or not, but Joe has a fantastic memory, plus he has Mick, so I'm sure he didn't forget your paper, along with any other prezzies people had for him that night. I'm sure he took it with him at the end of the night :) Your guitar looks very cool! And oh... for you, Joe in Freemantle :)

An Irish potato.....hmmmmm.....

Jamie, have the best time!

Chelly, *pat*pat*pat* It'll be okay honey....take a vaykay day and come see me here, that'll finish yer nerves off, lol! Yer doing fine babbie. Oh....did you paint the bat house....grey....by any chance? Cuz.....what's to stop them confewzing the house with yer bathroom then?

Joe....please...would you re-consider putting Out of The Sunrise back into the setlist for the US shows? It's really a gorgeous song played live and not too "ballady" if I can use such a word. It fit so well into the show and should be heard :)

Big Bunny: I think Surfing with the satch is great! I'd love to have it in my bedroom next to my Roger Waters signed T-Shirt with a Big Pig painted by my sister. So flaturing means...darn it...ok now I see. But what does darn mean? lol ! Just wanna know if his going to do something about the cold play thing or if he doesn't care at all...

I like your guitar with Joe's sign and the satch draw...That must cost a fortune unvaluable now!

Joe, Sorry to hear you haven't been able to experience SACD, hopefully you were able to hear some of the 5.1 mixes in the studio? The 5.1 mix of "You Saved My Life" is absolutely an incredible experiece and there is nothing gimmicky about the mix at all which only adds to the spaciality. I was disappointed to see Surfing Deluxe Edition only be released on CD as it doesn't do the music justice. Listening in high resolution, whether it be 24/96 .flac files (like the new NIN album Trent released on his website for download), DVD-Audio, Super Audio CD or Blu-ray Disc, it really allows for a greater appreciation of all the nuances of the music. I hope that if and when you decide to revisit Flying in a Blue Dream that you might consider releasing it as a Blu-ray/CD combo set (2 discs) with high resolution 5.1 PCM and stereo mixes on the Blu-ray Disc and any remastering on the CD. I can assure you, there are people out there looking forward to new high rez releases like this. The record companies won't ask you for it, but if you express an interest in it they will set it up. That's the feedback I received from SonyBMG's VP of new product development when I called....so if you command it, it shall be done. There's nothing like hearing four guitar tracks in harmony coming from each corner of your room, especially when it's Satch. I would love to hear a 5.1 mix of The Forgotten (parts 1 and 2) Anyway, I just scored 6th row dead centre seats for the Buffalo show. I'm looking forward to it completely. Best regards, ~dobyblue

Hi Joe,

I am from Turkey and my name is Mustafa AYDIN, it was such a great thing to see Aşık Veysel's name as a song name. I really wonder how did you discover him and how did you decide to give his name to one of your songs. I also wonder where will you be coming to Aşık Veysel's country for a great concert event. If you can answer my question I will be thankful. I already thank alot for the great music you are making for us.

Best Regards Mustafa AYDIN
