Hi all, can anyone tell me if Joe's doing anything instore while in Sydney. I've actually taken some holidays from work to go to the show on the 14th and since I have the time off I can make another trip if needed.

In response to elpp's question from the other day (yesterday?), here's a list of 10 of my favorite bands at the moment. It's sorta in order.

Joe Satriani
Dream Theater
Led Zeppelin
Rush
Aerosmith
Collective Soul
Porcupine Tree
Yes
Explosions In The Sky
Lacuna Coil

Blue_Moon - If I wait for all the dates to go up I get the feeling a show will sell out. Oh well though...it's not like I'm waiting for one show, I the issue at this point is something like whether I go to four shows or five. So I'm being a bit selfish...I realize that.
Satriella - It's always good to hear from you...I hope you continue to drop by even if life is busy. :-)
Keniko - A new band...? Awesome! Congrats...

...Austin...

Looking forward to the Friday and Saturday show in Melbourne ..... actually, I can't wait!!!!! Had my fingers crossed to win one of the aftershow passes but some lucky guy won both the Adelaide and Melbourne passes. Next time you get to Melbourne, I will try a new wishing technique .... the crossed fingers obviously didn't work!! Cheers.

Dave feel free to send me your photos my addy is bigbunny@westnet.net.au i have a scan of my Satch ticket, if you want a copy of it i'll send it back to you. i knew Metro Freo would keep it... they did that in 2005 :/ did you get the pick Stu flung? one of Galens flew in front of me and bounced off the barrier but i wasn't gonna go looking for it. O_o gotta watch Joe play!!! cool photo of you with Joe - you been a fan for quite awhile. i've only been listening since '97

Austin - your right about 'OOTS', piano is always there thru the song. i'd love to hear it live. not as much as 'Love Thing' though...maybe next time :)

Jamie the Ibanez Joe signed is a cheapy ;P about $400 it cost me...a bit more cause it's a lefty. will try not to rub off the drawing. me thinks you are right. Joe was tired and he drew how he was feeling. i'm stoked that he makes the effort to come all the way to Perth >=:o) if i had to i'd travel east to see him. but he hasn't left us out since '05 :) maybe he likes Freo? it's a cool place. relaxed.

Sandy my gigs already gone! did have a good time...bit nervous around Joe though.

Tracie thanx for the link!!!

Juan thanx for the kind words about the painting. i like Roger Waters/Pink Floyd too...not as much as i like Satch though. i don't think Joe is gonna do anything about the Coldplay thing. i think they've heard 'If I Could Fly' and followed the melody for the vocal...i could be wrong but i can't believe that band could come up with something good themselves ;P he he Enjoy your show coming up!! just get there a few hours early...i could hear Joe practicing at 4:30pm, he didn't hit the stage till 10. try the back of the venue >=:o)

Ken i'm glad my bladder held out too oh oh...TMI TMI!! you got your tix for Chicago yet?

Stevee T BigBunny, Let me know what the message is....thanks - there's no message Stevee T, I said i owed you a Message To Joe but my gig's gone now.

DoTheStu: Intersting to see Yes in your top ten bands, me I like to listen to 'Tales From Topographic Oceans' when I have a few spare hours!!! (I'm joking, but my dad does...) Good diverse range of music there. =D

Was in college yesterday for a new student day, there was a band. I heard the opening chords and though "Nooo another indie pop rock chordie band" but then they played Johnny B.Goode and my opinion changed! Plus the drummer had a sticker on his drum saying "I may be fat, but you're ugly and I can diet" =D

Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, Everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together, Brighter than a lucky penny, When you're near the rain cloud disappears, dear, And I feel so fine just to know that you are mine.

My life is sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, That's how this refrain goes, so come on, join in everybody!

Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, Everything that's wonderful is sure to come your way When you're in love to stay.

Hi there

Ive only Joined the site. Hello to Joe Satriani and the rest of the crew over there in the US the music is just great. I havnt had a chance to listen to the new album properly but ill give it a go in the next couple of days. I hope putting it together was ok. Ive only just rediscovered playing the guitar again after a few years of and it seems to have taken on a whole new dimmension for me so Ill see how it goes Ive been practising some of the add9 chords for soloing on chromatic scales. And all I can say is thanks a lot Joe its Torturing me but its worth it. The dexterity and speed I now have on the fretboard is absolutley amazing, I think that playing the chords strengthens your fingers in stretched positions so that when you start moving arround in the modes its effortless. Anyway A Big hello from Australia and all the best with Touring when it comes up you guys seem to have a lot of fun.

Regards Peter Martin

Tracie here's the pici of me & Joe i made it smaller cause it's a bit out of focus...looks better smaller.

i'm feeling bad for Joe cause I didn't realize that he was so tired...as someone who loves sleep I don't know how he can get up on stage and play when he needs more zzzzs.

Joe Satriani - thanx for making the trip to Perth...i keep forgetting that we add another 4hrs to your flight time, that's the minimum too. I enjoyed the gig very much!! great hearing 'Time Machine' live...Jeff's drums are awesome on that track.
