hybes, if you want to be guaranteed to meet Joe, then the Club Joe is the only way to do that. Plus you get better seats, or if it's standing room only general admission, you get into the venue first before the rest of the crowd. Club Joe is spendy, so it really is your call. I did premiums once, and know lots of people that have, and we all felt it was money well spent. And that was back before they added in the question and answer session with Joe. I hear those are really great!

If you don't want to or can't afford to spend the money for a premium ticket, then you can try to meet Joe either by entering the aftershow drawing for your show, or see if it's possible to wait by the bus afterwards. No guarantees either way, but Joe does his very best to be accomodating to his fans.

Good luck! :)

Chee, yer a boatload of knowledge I tells ya! You get an A+ in this class young lady. Don'tcha know, grad party hangover rolled into a nasty allergy induced nose swelling sinus attack. I felt like crap yesterday with a bleck headache/queezy stomach thing. That motion sick sinus thing again. I woke up this morning, took one look in the mirror at my swelled up face, and went for the phone to call off. The 3rd shift Jamacain sec. guard answered the phone at work. Hell, he made the call so much fun that if I could work with him all day I'd never miss a day. lol! I'm with the wrong peeps man! lol!

The day is what you make it!

I'm going to make mine a nice laid back cool runnin's kind of day. Ya mon!

Paid sick days are soooo underrated! lol!

Now where's my Excedrin?

hybes - Yeah...although it's not as much of a mixing thing as it is an arrangement thing. Usually with Satch, the weird/crazy moments are the focus of songs...but on SC they seem to be secondary.

I'll give the album a listen soon and elaborate.

Tuesdayschild - No, I don't hear the song when I go to that site...maybe I'm missing a browser plug-in or something. I look forward to the YouTube video though...

I'm over the fact that the girl didn't go to the show with me...oh well. It gets to the point where some people just aren't worth continued effort. Nothing against her, she's nice, but after a while you just can't keep trying to force things. There are people I see more often that I can fail with instead. ;-)

Anyway, have fun camping...I hope your iPod lasts for quite a while.

rwg - Chickenfoot is supposed to record in September.
cosmic_ape - That's a good price for the Zune (Black Friday special, I guess...?). To be honest, I never considered them because I wanted a flash-based player. I don't know too many people who have Zunes, but I hear good things from all of them. I don't think I'd ever buy one though...I'm not sure I "get" Microsoft's business strategy there.
lasseoll - That's really neat...thanks for sharing those photos. It's definitely one of the most unique Satch-related projects I've ever seen.

...Austin...

Mr. Satriani,

My name is Jake Miller, and I am fortunate enough to have an amazing and loving father, who purchased two meet and greet passes for the 'Club Joe' for your show in Dallas, Texas. :-D I will be attending the show with my dad. I cannot begin to tell you how extremely happy I was and still am to know that I am going to meet the man who is responsible for getting me into my life's passion. I couldn't believe it! My dad first listened to your Surfing With The Alien tape while overseas in the Navy, and he was hooked on it. He played this tape ALL THE TIME while working around the house, so I heard it and asked my dad, "who is that???!!!" I was absolutely amazed. It is the most inspirational record I have ever heard. I am eagerly looking forward to meeting you and am hoping you will sign my guitar and a few c.d.'s of mine. It would be a great honor. I will see you at the show. Have an amazing day!

Joe! Gonna see you play again for the 4th time here in Austin! Excited to see Mountain with ya! Can't wait to see you and Leslie West jam together on stage. I wonder who the mysterious 3rd guitarist will be complete the "G3" at the end. Last time here it was you, Eric Johnson and David Grissom. Before that it was Billy Gibbons. Bring in another bad ass player again!

As for a song i'd love to hear live that has never been played...Engines of Creation.
