Master Joe Satriani.... I really dont know what to say! Im very exited and in fact I cant believe that Im posting message to you! first of all, you must forgive me because of my many mistakes! (I have many problems with English!) also I have a quietion: I play Classical guitar and Im going to change it into electric(in the future),but unfortunately, I work in many branches: Physics, Drawing and Music... so,I cant practice guitar more than 3 hours a day. do you think that its possible to become a good artist? (not solo). just one more thing,as I told, Im studing Physics, and I thing we can do many more things in the music by using this science...I hope so! wish you be healthy..you are the best. elpp - It looks like you're off the hook. After digging around the old T2J, I think I found that it was Ga6o who recommended Acid Rain. There were quite a few people talking about that though, as well as some DT songs.
I have The Odyssy by Symphony X, but I haven't listened to it in a while...it didn't grab me right away so it's been hard. I saw them live (Gigantour 2005) and they were awesome, though. Maybe I'll give it another shot.
You mentioned King's X...are you a big fan? I only have Gretchen Goes To Nebraska, but I absolutely love it. Is there another good album from them you'd recommend?
Wavy_davy_dymo - Yes, Stu is playing bass on the Australian tour.
REVAN 2008 - I don't know much about Marty Friedman, but I remember a lot of people mentioning Music For Speeding over the years. I'll have to look it up...thanks.
chojuaniche - There was another song I was listening to the other day that I thought would go really well right after Out Of The Sunrise...but I can't remember what it is now. ;-)
I purposefully left songs like Always... and Summer Song off my list. I've been fortunate enough to see Joe 18 times, and after hearing some songs at every show, well, it's just time for something different. I know he'll always play them, though...
Enjoy your first show...that's so cool. I remember I had a big grin on my face the entire night at my first Satch concert. It's a fun feeling.
And I understand a few words here and there, but no I don't speak Spanish...
Tuesdayschild - John has two daughters and a son. I'm not sure which one is the LTE baby, though...
campbell - Congrats... What kind of music are you thinking for the reception? Pop/rock music, or Satch-esque instrumental stuff? How confused do you want your guests to be? ;-)
Brave - Welcome to the site. :-)
...Austin...

Just look at joe and smile at the greet and meet like most of us would.

andy of uk - Didn't kow the Odeon had been demolished, saw many a great band there. It all started for me with Alien on vinyl after my mate handed it to me at school, that was it really! I'm sure I'll enjoy meeting Joe and have plenty to say, the only other time I met him was at a signing in Tower Picadilly, pre the Brixton Extremist show in '93............where I had the good fortune to see Adrian Legg supporting Joe, superb gig with the Bissonettes and Brett Tuggle on the keys........................

Good Evening Satchland......
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY !!!!! I'm Late by one day......Sorry ....damn.....
Now those are two words that'll send shivers down a man's spine...."I'm late"
So how is everyone? What a great weekend in Chicago.....Banner weather....beautiful fire works last night. It's just been great.
Do the Stu.....No prob......You didn't come off as a know-it-all. I saw Joe reached over 100,000 members on Thur. Awesome. I'm so very glad I'm one of them....pick a number.....lol.....
Band update......We folded once again. So after 5 yrs. of trying to get something going I've had it with my own band. I just can't take it any longer. I'll never stop playing and put everything I had into The Blues Mavericks. I just couldn't find the chemistry that is so important to any band. I'm keeping it going as a studio project. I've met enough musicians over the years where I'm just going to write and record original music and post it on our my space site. I'm thinkin' of changing the name to The Blues Mavericks Project or the site name. What do you think? Anyway I have a offer to play with The Max Cady Band It's an original/cover band I think is right up my alley. Let me know what you think. Thanks....
Zen...... Awesome news. Thanks so much. I can't wait to hear the finished CD. The movements sound awesome. Thanks so much for your hard work......Take Care....
Have A Great Rest Of The Weekend Everyone !!!!!

Austin, thanks for the Petrucci family pic. I went thru them and found a cute one of the whole fam together. To cute!
Ken, sorry the band took a crap. Just keep playing. No time to listen to the other band. I need to get to bed (I hate effin retail!) As for weather, we're getting some much needed rain, but it's falling on Fireworks weekend! They were rained out yesterday and today, but they're gonna try again tomorrow. Had a nice party here tonight. Guess everyone will be back again tomorrow to see if the fireworks can be set off. This is usually my fave day of the year, but with work, and the rain, it's leaving a lot to be desired. There's always next year *sigh*

Right, this is for any budding guitar techs out there: I have just acquired a 1990's Marshall JTM 4x10 speaker cab at 16 ohm impedance. I have an Epiphone Valve Junior that I'd like to run through it, but that is rated at 4 ohm impedance. So, what can I do? I know the cab is wired in series and thanks to my recent physics education I know that by re-wiring it in parallel someway, I should be able to get the impedance down. Any thoughts, help or ideas? I don't really want to tempt fate and risk blowing my nice little amp...but it is very hard having a rather large speaker cab next to it. I can imagine the tone now. =D
I also acquired my old guitar at the same time. Y'see, I 'swapped' my old Squier Strat and 200 quid for my current lovely Ibanez (this is with my uncle) Since then, he has put proper 70's single coils in, stripped away the paintwork, put an aged scratchplate on, 'locked' the vibrato down and replaced the nut and machine-heads. So now it looks rather like Gallagher's strat must have about 15 years into it's service. In other words, nice. It sounds bloody good as well! Lovely and 'fruity'--gorgeously Strat-y through a valve amp...=D
Enough about me, any advice regarding the cab welcome. I will probably look to get something like a Tiny Terror in the near future....

Hi Joe, just became a member of your site. I have listened to your music for years and love it.
I have a great thought for you to consider.
My daughter bought guitar hero for her kids. Well I got hooked on it. I've played electric guitar for about 40 years, but i love guitar hero.
I see groups like aerosmith, and now metallica are putting out thier own cd's for guitar hero. I'm hoping you will check into and consider putting out your own cd for guitar hero. Not only would it be a great source of additional income for you, but it would give a lot of your fans a fantastic sense of entertainment to be able to play along with your music.
Hope you will consider doing this...it would be fantastic.
Thanks...bill

Hey Joe...,
I just can't stop listening your songs. They're all amazing and meaningful. I have listened them even more than thousand times in my life but I still feel like I'm hearing them for the first time.Especially ''I believe'' is the one for me.And your voice is the most beautiful voice of all times for me...Your new style is perfectly fine but how about remembering the old times? Please make alikes with some oldies like the albums ''Flying In A Blue Dream'' and ''The Extremist''... Just know that some of your true fans really miss the old Joe sometimes (Hair as well:-)) Take care of yourself... Send our best to Mrs.Satriani and ZZ.
I also send my brother's(satrionic1-last birthday@Conrad-Hug) hi to you. Please answer back i'm waiting all day in front of my pc :-)
