Do the Stu, I've got one of Opeths Albums, Damnation, which I believe Steven Wilson was involved with. It's a great album too. Steven Wilson seems to have a finger in every pie....

Would love to buy PREM tickets to the Pa show 10/11/08, supposed to go on sale today, but they are not. Do not know who to contact about this. The venue does not have any info on the PREM tickets. Anyone have any idea how to purchase these tickets???

ohiorick, Ticketmaster says there will be no premium tickets for the Pittsburg, PA show....as well as the Buffalo, NY show.

So it looks like you're outta luck :((( Sorry about that. But things can change, keep watching the road page to see if you get a link. Meanwhile, tickets for your venue are on sale to the general public now....

Wow that does suck. I wonder how they decide what shows have them? Maybe the web site is just slow to update and they will show up in a day or two. Not that big a deal tho, I am in Cleveland and only wanted to see the show in Pa, as that venue has seating up front where the Cleveland HOB show has GA standing room up front only, no seats on the floor at all. I'm too old to stand for that long (LOL). I'll wait and see what happens................

Do the Stu - Ya, it's very difficult to really put together a list of top bands. Mine really are sort of dated. I have given it thought over the years....i look at what makes up the 1500 songs on my ipod, or my cd collection or live dvd collection. I really got into some bands in the 90s. Nirvana, STP, Collective Soul, Alice in chains, Candlebox. Just to name a few. The problem with all of those bands is they didn't stick around. They all seemed to just fade away so quickly. I have tried to get into some bands in the late 90's and 2000's, but I just can't seem to get there. I don't know if it's the real sign I am getting old or maybe they just don't have the same music in their souls that has allowed me to get into the bands I named on my top 10. You have to wonder if the music industry isn't behind all these "old" bands getting back together. I do like the Foo Fighers and Shinedown quite a bit. I really like Velvet Revolver, but again, they're having issues with the lead singers. Slash tried to recruit Sebastian Bach recently, but because Bach is such a good friend of Axle Rose, he turned it down. Now having him on lead vocals with Slash behind hiim would have been something that could have potentially been great! Sebastian Bach has one of the best rock and roll voices I have ever heard. (Just my opinion of course).

One of the things that has always kept Zep at the very top of my list is the way they were able to go in so many directinos and never lose momentum at all. You compare Zoso to Presence and you have night and day....yet both are absolutely amazing in their own right. Def Leppard is a band that could not pull that off, even though they are on my top 10. They tried to go too techno and lost everything. Their latest cd is more like the stuff they were doing in the late 80's. That works for them.

I also agree with you on the Aerosmith stuff. I think they just ran out of good music to write, so they just kept touring for a while. they are right to stop when they did. I am amazed the Rolling Stones keep going. They never did anything for me personally but they sure have kept on all these years. Joe's ability to keep producing high quality music is also one of the soooo many things that I really like about him. This latest cd like I said before is becoming one of my favorite non live Satch albums ever. There really isn't one song from top to bottom that I don't love to listen to over and over.

I have heard 3 or 4 singles released digitally from Candlebox's upcoming cd. I have to say that I am extremely impressed with what I have heard. They were a flash in the pan 90's late grunge group, but man, I think they've got something here.

Anyway, I could probably just keep going all night about the subject. Music is and always was such a passion for me. it's hard to stop ocne you're on a roll, but I 'm sure I have board many people right out of reading my post!!! =)

I just can't wait til November when I finally get to see a long time hero for the first time!!!

Al, I told you, the Universe is off kilter ffs!

Joe's in Australia. We ate dinner at Outback Steakhouse. What are the chances?

MoonLover, if yer balls were humming, it's prolly cause there weren't any words to the song ;-) lmao!

Feckin' hilarious I tells ya!

campbell, I saw Malmsteen with G3. He certainly was a show in himself, but he can play the hell out of that guitar. He stood right in front of me (almost stepped on me fingas!) and played a little widdly-widdly right in my face. I think I got a picture of it somewhere :-)

Slan says to say HI to everyone and let ya know he and the fam are doing well.

wow hybes, slash along with sebastian bach is a combination that i would have like to have heard. A travesty that's not going to happen. I think Def Leppard, as great as they are, got bland....bland is terrible, truly terrible. I agree that alot of stuff that is truly good is dated and I went though a whole crisis trying to find something current, and good. I struggled quite a bit!

Anyway shinedown, alterbridge, and 12 stones have kinda saved the day. Thank goodness.

I suppose that could be the answer everyone has been searching for all these years.....what makes Joe such an incredible player....it's the warm ankles...when the ankles are happy, everything....including the fingers....be happy :)

Aww, I watched yer cat video, so cute...and then clicked on this one

It's just like two lil ole married peoples, yakkity yakkity until one of them falls asleep getting a massage from the other, LOL!

LMAO, the translation of the video....
