Skippygirl - I have to say @ 40 I'm, still learning off Joe , I have played pretty much my whole life by ear usually playing whatever someone threw at me , but since I seriously started to deconstruct Joe's music and watch what he was doing live and in lessons (maybe the last 6 months), people have been telling me how awesome my playing has become on bass and guitar. Just picking up a little rif or some theoretical structure off Joe's music everyday will make a major difference . All I can emphisise is to anylize every sound that come out of Joe and to remember that the same single tone can be created in more than one place on the guitar with slight variances and yes tone is everything . good luck and never give up.

Since Al brought up Explosions In The Sky I figured I'd post a link. Check out Your Hand In Mine.
hybes - If it helps at all, I think the Paris show happened after Crushing Day was dropped from the set but before Out Of The Sunrise was dropped. So if you look through the reviews and find a partial list you can probably figure out most of it from there.
I think the only things "new" to CD/DVD will be Cryin', Time Machine, and the PSATMOR stuff (Ghosts, and I think the entire album was played except for Professor Satchafunkilus, Come On Baby, and Asik Veysel.
roo - You've got mail.
chojuaniche - Enjoy the show! I look forward to hearing all about it...
Guitarman77897 - No.
Now that the serious answer is out of the way, maybe everyone can have fun with it...hehe.
Listening to: Whitford / St. Holmes - Whitford / St. Holmes (current song: Shy Away)
Does anyone have that album? It's a side project from the rhythm guitarists of Aerosmith and Ted Nugent, released in 1980. If you like that kind of music it's great...

Igneous : Your welcome.
Jimmy Page has been the 60's king of studio before he creates Led Zep. He was not famous, but very requested by the pro. He was behind the recording/mix/mastering of lot of hits of the 60's. But noboby knew him.
He's not only a genius of guitar & composition. He's also one of engineering.
As for Beck, he is the Maestro.
Joe is a genius of guitar. The king of Ibanez. His knowledge of Heads amps & pedals is scaring. He had understood that the futur of guitar rock would pass by the EVH experience, & has done the job. But above all, his gift is melody.
Don't forget Malmsteen, Rhoads, Balckmore, & Iommi.
Malmsteen is unique.
I would add a special thought for Robert Fripp & Steve Howe.
As for Vai, great composer, he has decided to fill up the w-holes. & indeed, he fills up lot of, waiting to fill up his tomb.
This is not wisdom. This is.

song of the day-UP IN THE AIR!
Love this tune-iits genius, love the clever solo, the bluesy sort of echos in the main riff.
a song to be played LOUD- perfectly fits its name.
big 3 hour powercut today- some tool cut through a power line and knocked out this town and the surrounding villages in about a 2 mile radius.
plonker-have a virtual hug for a good caption to as what our power cutting builder would have said when all around him, it went boom then queit.
heres mine-'Hey my drill still works-huh huh'
even the traffic lights went down.people still kept coming to the shops front door walking up to the door -looked befuddled, opened there mouth like a big silly old goldfish then sort of ambled in a random direction-there lives having no purpose the shops are shut.
and theres still the classic-' are you shut?
no sir/madam i thought as a new cost cutting measure me and the staff will be working in the dark, with no electronic equipment WHATSO EVER.

Hey Tracie :)
way too many CRAZY things have happened so far in the army tha I'd rather forget. The good part is that I'm half way there...six more months to go :)...I got promoted too...now the are sending me near the boarders with Burlgaria and Turkey...not the best place in the world or the safest one :/...that's why they let me go home for some days so that I get my stuff ready and see my parents...way too many stories to tell when I'm outta here

There's a program on TV right now about the history of pop and rock music. I feel so sad, and guilty, as this music is attributed to slavery. (as a white gal from northern ireland) What a legacy we have.....
It all comes from the savanah according to this TV show, I know this is a touchy subject, but thankyou so much to all peoples from all over the world for the evolvement of music that leads to the mindblowing compositions we have today. I've been in Britanny in France where the culture and music isn't a million miles away from irish traditional music (think riverdance), we have russian folk, we have american blues, we have everything from all over the world (japanese 'Black Mages...cool) and everything that has gone before has contributed to what we hear today..... thankyou every culture and mindset, thankyou so much, love you forever, Victoria

seppesai, so cool to hear about your experience of the gig. Joe is the coolest guy on the planet, and Stu Hamm is the sweetest. Awards to 'nicest guy' goes to him.
I'm sure you feel, as I did, that life couldn't possibly go back to normal after seeing Joe live. Keep that feeling going, as it's very special and worth holding onto. Life is full of work, normal day to day stuff, and seeing Joe and Stu etc live is a stunning experience and saves the soul for a little while longer. Keep the faith.....
Mmmnnnn....faith is music...in my book anyway.....
