Jamie, for now it's just 2 shows, Reno and San Fran, unless JOE plays in the Pacific NW anywhere...HINT HINT!!

Sounds like there's gonna be a flock....herd....swarm? of t2j'ers at the two shows :) We shall take over the world!

Brian, u ARE a spoilt brat, lol!!! I hafta agree with your lovely wife on that one....but then....so am I, lol.....can never have too much Joe. I hope she makes the San Fran show...we can all stand in line together and gab to pass the time. It's either that or watch the comings and goings at the "gentleman's" club next to the venue, geez....or trying to avoid the drug peddlers, another geez.....should give us all plenty to yak about, lol!

Does anybody remember a TV program called NINTENDOMANIA? I think it was only in Mexico, but it is on YouTube, anyway. My point is that they always had Joe Satriani , DreamTheater, or Liquid Tension as musical background. That program was awesome!

dream3 - Eh...hehe. I thought Saw was excellent. I saw the sequel and thought it was just OK. I'm fine stopping there...

There were quite a few groans in the theater when the trailer played...that surprised me. As nerdy as the midnight X-Files crowd is, I would've expected them to know that Tobin Bell, the guy who plays Jigsaw, had a guest role on the X-Files a few years before the first Saw. Anyway...

chojuaniche - It's nice to see The Crush Of Love back. That was one of my first favorite songs when I was getting into Satch, and I think it's a fun one live.

The Paris show was recorded for a DVD, but the set was a bit different earlier this year...

Listening to: Led Zeppelin - III (current song: Bron-Y-Aur Stomp)

hello Satcherlings,

SOTD=WAR.

sometimes joe's song titles are spot on, and when i hear this song i can picture war in the middle east, them challenger tanks and stuff rolling over the desert and f-22s bombing etc.i guess it was the time of the 1st gulf war, but it just has that atmosphere.

also what a face melting solo and some chunky riffs.

P.G. tickets came today.

better get back to processing these pictures-laters

oh and saw cloverfield-thought it was a fantastic film, creepy really. any thoughts.

Igneous : that's cool to be a few interested by the story of the great guitar players..

Rhoads was a prodigy. Just come after the Van Halen revolution, he was starting to push the classical scales boundaries onto hardrock guitar.. but has been stopped by a lethal plane's accident. Who knows what he would have done..

Malmsteen.. well.. it's Malmsteen. A strange sort of fellow. Insane player. Absolutly passionate by classical music, the legend wants that he's come from the Blackmore's thigh. A player with a very strong personnality, full of provocation, that you love, or hate. He is, with Satch, the greatest pioneer come after the Van Halen revolution. Lot of say that he's just an idiotic technician. Don't listen to them : his feeling is extraordinary. & his tone with a Strat out there. But check by yourself :

How he plays Hendrix

How he plays Malmsteen

If you liked, check this intrumental studio song : Crying

& to finish, a song of The Concerto

& if you don't like all that, this means that Malmsteen is not for you.

Van Halen has been a miraculous selfcombustion. Joe is wise. Malmsteen is insane.

hehehe.. sorry.

So I guess Tracie won the bet by 4 rows, so you should get 4 times the prize. Fair. jeje. What was the prize for the winner, by the way? Since I guessed correctly that you and Austin would end up on opposite sides, do I get half the prize?? :)

By the way, Tracie I disagree with your comment that Ticketmaster sells from the outside in. It's been my extensive experience that they sell center out, forcing you to buy a center section/far row seat instead of a side section/front row seat. But if you only buy 1 or 2 tickets they do tend to put you at the end of the rows. You also have to keep in mind that they save some tickets for the premium packages, so this also affects your availability, specially in small venues like the one u guys are attending (it looked small from Austin's map)

I got a row D ticket for 63 bucks, right now there is a row C ticket (with Club Joe) available for 300 bucks. So whomever sits in front of me will have paid 5 times what I paid. I'll leave the comment at that, open for interpretation. =================== djzn, I'm 1.70 meters tall, and in the pic I have of Joe and me we're the same height. So I'd say 1.71 is his exact height.

JOE, care to confirm this??? :)

We've been getting pounded all day by the remmants of hurricane Dolly, and although we've only officially gotten 2 inches of rain, since it's the desert, everything is flooded. Even our plant shut down for the day. So hopefully we'll still be here tomorrow!! Talk 2 u later

I'm at work now, but things are slow so I'm here.

The Reno and SF shows are going to be a party...this is awesome. :-)

Tracie and Chris, and Brian (and his wife, in SF)? I think this calls for In-N-Out before the San Francisco show. What do you guys think?

Brian, I'm not sure if you've ever been there...but Tracie, I took you and Chris there before Satch's gig at the Ventura Theater in 2005. I've also taken matt king and marimariSRV there when they've visited me in the past.

Excellent food. I think I'll have to make a run while we're all waiting in line outside the Warfield...yeah?

Ohhh chadley, don't axe her how many times she's seen Joe! She's been a fan for 2 minutes and has already seen him more times and in more cities than some of us long time fans. lol! Joe is like her crack. lol! If she can drive there, she's gittin' sum! lmao!! I'm a total Satch slacker compared to her. lol!

T-Bones, you filthy satch ho. Yer the bestest satch fan - so entertaining - and as mc says - so feckin friendly!

So anyways, we stopped at a grocery store tonight after dinner. My husband was wearing his Surfing With The Alien shirt. Some guy pushing 2 wee ones in a cart looks at us and starts to walk away. He stops and turns and says "Is Joe Satriani a guitar player?" We say yeah. He says "My dad loves that guy!" Then he asks if he plays a song called Houses (or something odd) of Locusts. lmao! I wrinkled my face for a sec, and said "Hordes of Locusts" and he yelled "Yeah, that's it! He played that a million times while I was growing up!" lmao! We told him we were big fans, and my husband says Joe is on tour and coming to Philly. I tell him Oct. 19th to be exact ;-) I asked the guy how old his dad was, and he says 57. Cool. We have a little more small talk, and the guy walks away. Next time we look up, he's on his cell talking to his dad giving him the info. lmao!! That was fun :-)

elpp...I had no idea there was a prize....where do I go to collect it? :) And I'm only basing my views on ticketmaster by my own experiences with them....I think it's wierd how they fill seats.

I read an interview once where Joe's height was listed as being 5 feet, 7 and a half inches. Just right fer hugs for those of us more vertically challenged, right *cough*chelle*cough*? :D

Brian, I'm up 2 on Chris and he's keeping score, lemme tell u.

Austin, count us In-N-Out fer a burger run :))) Joe, while he's at it, u want anything? How bout Stu, Jeff, Mick, Galen, Mike? Pickanick in line I sez!! I can only eat about half a burger now, but I'm sure Chris will be verra happy to finish mine AND his meal off :)

Chadley....well....since finding Joe (thanks to my son) in September of 2004...I've now seen 14 shows in 9 different locations :) And Chris has seen 12. So this next run will put me at 16 in 4 years. Not too bad...but coulda, shoulda, woulda done more, lol!

Ty chelle, I know u lubs me when u calls me ho, LOL!! Mckenna thinks I'm overly friendly, which to him that's a character flaw, lol!! And yep, if I can drive it, I'm there...but I've been known to fly a few or 10 places to see Joe too :)

Now all we gotta do is get Mc to the US, see some shows out here and send him yer way fer the rest of the entertainment :)

Tracie: well Austin was the one that asked for bets, so he should be the one paying!!! I guess your in-n-out burger will be covered by him :) And yeah, I don't like their seat assignment process either, but they're the only big game in town, so... we'll just have to get lucky I guess.

According to Google: 5 feet 7.5 inches = 171.45 centimeters I'm on a roll!!! If anyone needs me to guess/bet on anything let me know!!! jajaja.

This will be my 10th Satch show: 4 G3's (96, 97 in San Antonio and twice in 01, Denver and Santa Fe) 3 Solo shows (El Paso and twice at HOB LA, all in 2000) Cave Creek Music Festival, Phoenix, 2000 Satch/Dream Theather/King's X, Albuquerque, 2002. As u can see I was a huge Satch fan in 2000, then faded away after 02, when I got taken over by DT fever. But 6 years is a long time, so I'm looking forward to this show.

Hopefully he won't play Summer Song in this run. Heard it 9 times live. We'll see. Later!
