Joe - It's cool to see you around here again... I hope the South America / Mexico tour goes well. :-)

Igneousiceman - Oh I hope we both get tickets to. And I'm sure we both will...

Haha, watch us end up sitting next to each other...

bol316 - Hi...welcome to the site. :-) It's cool to hear which guitarists influence you.

What other music are you into? Anything that's not so classic rock- or guitar-related?

Igneousiceman - The guitar looks good...even though I like blue more than red (hehe).
nickguitarmeistro - Yes, ITLIS? is my favorite Satch album. It's weird though, because I'm pretty critical of it and I feel it's a bit disjointed (half of it sounds like a rock album and half of it sounds like a spacey experimental album).

The Souls Of Distortion was my favorite back when everyone here heard 30-second samples of all the songs prior to the album's release. Once it came out, If I Could Fly, Bamboo, and the title track became favorites...but over time TSOD has overtaken them.

Lifestyle is very cool, for the fun song that it is. I'd like to hear that one live some day.

Guitarman77897 - Joe's on the road through mid-August.

I've never sent him mail asking for picks or anything like that, but I've heard he does eventually try to honor all requests. I think he stopped writing personal replies a few years ago though...he probably just doesn't have the time.

fanaticodejoe - Hi...welcome. Your link didn't work...can you try again? Just copy and paste it here maybe.
BigBunny - Wow, I hadn't heard that about the drugs...interesting.

I'm amazed how often people continue to try to cheat when others are constantly getting caught.

Listening to: Lacuna Coil - In A Reverie (current song: Falling Again)

...Austin...

Soul of Strings.......No prob. I Like your music and glad to have as a friend. Is Lakeland near Sarasota? Just curious. My in-laws live there in the Winter.

lorenzo001...... I was a little freaked when the Lion started running. I thought for sure they'd be attacked. I don't know if could do that. I guess you have a 50/50 chance. I like my odds of 100% by not doing that....lol.... Thanks for the comment on the new band. As for my band.....After 5 yrs. of one musician after the other coming through I just decided it wasn't in the cards. I love playing so much and needed to be out there playing. I became bored and stale with all the headaches so I excepted the offer to play with Max Cady Band. So far so good. I like this a lot better cuz' I can just concentrate on playing guitar and not have to sing. LIke I said in an earlier post....I'm Free...lol.... It feels real good. Take Care

Joe has 5 kids. There's ZZ, Shifty, Shoe-fly, Natty-dread, & lil' Grizzelda.

ZZ is from his wife Rubina. He's coming up on 16 in a few months. Shifty, Shoe-fly & Natty-dread are Joe's love children from his affairs on tour. Lil' Grizzelda just showed up one day and never left. Joe has a skate park/horse ranch in his back yard where all the kids hang out in the neighborhood. His baby mama's stay there too. It's one big happy family at the Satch house.

the end.

And don't ferget that me and mckenna are ranch hands out back.....

As fer Joe in makeup, he's on the cover of one of the UK guitar mags, the July issue...is it Total Guitar or Guitar Techniques? Anyway, he and John 5 are on the cover, and inside for the article on Joe....the last pic of Joe shows him in John 5's makeup, with a beanie hat on :)))))))) Rather startling, that...but also....fetching, Joe....really.

Austin, I wouldn't be at all surprised to sit somewhere in the same vicinity as u....I forget, is this the show dad and brother might come with, or just you?

As for being first in line, lemme tell u...that's self-preservation. Chris and I are so short, if we aren't at the front for standing room only shows, we see NUTHIN!! So we gotta put in the hours outside. One day I'll be too old fer that, but for now, it's a price we gladly pay to see Joe.

Hi and thanks. Well I know i will be mocked (or whatever) for saying this but I can actually enjoy some OLDER rap and i like some New Age, namely Kitaro. That guy is GREEEEEEEEEEAATTTT. I also like to listen to classical and opera on satellite radio as well. About the only kind I avoid purposely is country music. But 99% of my listening is rock. Oh 5b for me is Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead by the way. I have a thing for them too.

Now that I'm home again and re-installed the flash player, I still can't get into the chat. But I could on a computer 200 miles away from here.

I just don't unnerstand.

:(

I'm tired, long drive today. Brought my brother some muffins that he likes, he was very happy. Brought my mum and dad a treat too. My cats...well...they get my company, lol....and of course treats from the treat drawer, that happens all the time. Sold my son's basketball goal, finally. He'll be happy to get the $mulah$.

As for me.....I'm glad to have my own bed back.

bol316, I'll be the first to admit I dig some rap, Salt & Pepa - Very Necessary is one of my fav cd's.. lol! I dig some Beasty Boys, some Busta, and all sorts of tunes with good beats. It's not amazingly technical, but it's fun. I dig old Motown, big band, metal, some hair bands, George Winston...just about everything but pop (whatever catagory Celine Dion is in), opera, and country. Hell, I even get addicted to good ol' JT!!! lmao! I love that tune! lol! My core music is Joe & heavy metal, but I listen to a LOT of music. If it's fun and if it moves ya, what the hell and why not. lol!

Al & T, yer being punished, I just knows it.

Cheese u sound like ya been busy whats been going on ya on the edge of ya seat for Joe tickets ??

Sure was good timing with the chat though right after talking to Joe that day for the first time it started playing up and we were getting a good little gathering in there on the odd days.
JsTony - Hope the family is great and the little one is keeping u on ur toes :) :)

Js1200 chad - How's canada ehhhhhh i was watchin some reality show the other night and this chick opened her mouth and the guy said oh canadian she said awwwww did i say it lol he said what the ehhhhh ummmmmmmm yep she sure did lol .

Finally received my PSATMOR Cd/Dvd Absolutely so kool you should have worn ur tin foil suit to Australia Joe that way the solar powered radar panels could have kept ya warm :) :) :) :)

Just listening to the song ITLIS? is there any plans for a part 2 to this song Joe just with the ? and all it's like u plan to give the song an answer oneday ?????????????

Do The Stu - I am with you on ITLIS best album and i will go a step further and say by far and i love all Joe's albums with the acception of additional creations which i dont own and probably never will not cause its a bad album just cant get the bloody thing lol .

And to those who have been talking about watchin and being there to see first hand Joe grow it is awesome and funny that ya talk about this now cause when i was talking with Mike Manning was trying to see what was up with Chickenfoot lips were sealed mind you but i was talking to him about how it sucked that Kylie Minogue who i can't stand packs out 3 nights or 5 nights in a row of 60,000 seat stadiums and is not a musicians asshole and we have the brilliant Joe Satriani and in Melb the 2nd show for the tour just gone was like 500 tickets left for a 1500 person venue so first night sold out 2nd night nowhere near it so in comparison Joe still has a long long way to go but like i said to Mike if Chickenfoot is a go and as out there as Sammy is saying then will be great to watch Joe's career sky rocket cause i totally agree that Joe deserves all the fruits of success :) :) :) :) :)
BRING ON THE DAY WHERE JOE IS A HOUSEHOLD NAME WHERE SATCH ROLLS OF THE TONGUE LIKE MCDONALDS OR COCA -COLA not get looked at like what's Joe Satriani. LMAO

hey, Do the Stu, I agree that ITLIS is the best post 2000 cd. I love every song on there but my fave is 'If I Could Fly'. you know one thing though, there are great songs on all the cds, sometimes an album that as a whole may not be a favorite but it has one awsome song on it. I would put Starry night in this group. I especially liked the live version from Denver. I also liked the others from SBM but just not as much. well i am going to the wiltern show, maybe i will see you there. i missed you at the g3 show last time. this time we are sitting way up in the mezz. because i have been so busy i just now got the tickets. the time just got away from me. this time i will be bringing my daughter to the show. she got to see and meet joe a couple years back at west LA music and she is looking forward to it.

woodworking is a hobby for me and i am going to make a guitar in the js1000 style. I haven't decided on the color yet but i was thinking of chrome. they have a chrome paint that is supposed to look really good. another thought was that i could use color changing paint like on the 90thham. any way it comes out i will try to post some photos if anyone is interested.

take it easy

This is a tough bet to place, I'll say both Austin and Tracie end up on the same row. If you both go into Ticketmaster at the same time you will definitely be sent to opposite sides, their ticket assignments always seem to follow the "fill from the center outwards" policy. I hate that algorithm, it has prevented me from getting tickets closer to the stage in certain situations. Row H will never be better than row A, even at the edge of the row. ========================================= The only rap I ever liked was Cypress Hill. And only because they were very close to the hard rock sound. But I tend to like any music that has either great guitar or great vocals. This allows me to jump from Satch- Dream Theather- Sarah Brightman- Junior Brown- Hatebreed- Norah Jones and back to rock/metal/prog with ease.

Later!
