Guitarman77897 - I guess you don't have Crystal Planet, then? Are you missing any other albums? I don't know why, but I guess I just assume everyone here has all of Satch's albums. I know that isn't true though.

It's cool to hear that you saw The Dark Knight...and I like your Lamborghini line.

Blue_Moon - I know you were half kidding, but I just wanted to say...it'd be lame if you wanted to come out here but one of the only things holding you up was something as simple as a place to sleep for a night or a ride from Reno to SF. So yeah...if you decide you want to come, let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
REVAN 2008 - Up In The Air? ;-) Up In The Sky? Up In Flames? Hands In The Air? Pick one!
djzn - Hmmm? I'm confused with what you're asking. I'm just a fan, like everyone else here...

And yes, you have Joe's height about right.

seppesai - Awesome...thanks for sharing your thoughts about the gig.
Mahavishnu - Cool...for the Reno show, I'm in section C, row 7, seats 12-14 with my dad and youngest brother. It'll be good to see you again...
LEENZ3 - Hi...welcome to the site. :-) Congratulations on the weight loss and getting healthy again...and it's good to hear that you're able to play guitar more often now...
chojuaniche - :-) I love hearing about people's first Satch shows...thanks for sharing. Motorcycle Driver is back in the set, really? That's a nice surprise...

hey Joe, Your always playing in chicago or st. louis. Can you come closer to bloomington,il. We have a brand new colliseum here the U.S. cellular colliseum. We also have 2 universities in town Illinois state and illinois wesleyan. If this isn't possible champaign is pretty close or peoria. One other problem we have is my best friend is a phenomenal musician who would also love to see your show but the dates you do end up playing in chicago are always midweek and during the school year. If it could be possible at all since my friend is also a music teacher in farmer city, il. it would be great if you could play right in town here. Otherwise we would've came to your gig @guitar center but we found out last minute about chicago and my friends band the bygones had to play on that friday. so you can see our dilemma. Keep up the good work i've got everything you've put out. Your biggest fan in bloomington, illinois, jt griffin

Zenfish: Iommi still manages to enthrall me, two useable fingers, simple chords and simple (ish) solos--and huge tone! Still way better than many of these 'new' metal bands' guitarists. As for Blackmore, well. He had flair there's no doubt about that; and an amazing sixth sense for riffage. As for Malmsteen and Rhoads, I've heard a lot about them, but not really heard them! I agree again about Joe, the way he excels (for me) is in the melody and the delivery, not the perfected technique. We could talk about Nick Bowley hear as well....=D

Revan: What sort of shop do you work in? Oh, and typically dry British wit demonstrated with ease there...=D

SueTheStu: I wish I had all the Satch albums, but the rather large guitar shaped hole in my wallet is preventing that...=D

Do the stu-actually I don't have most of them I have heard individual songs from them but not the whole album. What ever the libraby had I copied and burned them, so If the libraby didn't have them I don't have them, exept for PSATMOR That one I bought in chicago for the GC sessions and got it signed. The only Satch albums I own PSATMOR, SWTA, SBM, FIABD, Time Machine (the rest If I want to hear I look them up on youtube) But I bought Crystal Planet of of Itunes (just CP the song not album) When I save up enough money I might go buy either-ITLIS Super Colossal or EOC. But I have to buy the Satchurator before I buy the albums. right now I am working on learning Raspberry Jam Delta V and Super Colossal. Got the intros down but now the rest of the song. L8R >.<

Matt: Super Colossal is in my opinion a better album than EOC, but ITLIS? could be better than SC...Super Colossal is a very fun intro riff in my opinion. =D

I've had a look at Roo's new collection site, I can't tell you the address...but wait and have a look- there is a TON of interesting stuff on there.

I learned the C major scale in two positions today, and yesterday Paul Gilbert showed that all along I've been playing the pentatonic scale. (well, except for one odd note...) My goal over summer= become adept at Music theory. Should be simple...(chuckle) =D

Sounds like there's gonna be a flock....herd....swarm? of t2j'ers at the two shows :) We shall take over the world!

Brian, u ARE a spoilt brat, lol!!! I hafta agree with your lovely wife on that one....but then....so am I, lol.....can never have too much Joe. I hope she makes the San Fran show...we can all stand in line together and gab to pass the time. It's either that or watch the comings and goings at the "gentleman's" club next to the venue, geez....or trying to avoid the drug peddlers, another geez.....should give us all plenty to yak about, lol!

dream3 - Eh...hehe. I thought Saw was excellent. I saw the sequel and thought it was just OK. I'm fine stopping there...

There were quite a few groans in the theater when the trailer played...that surprised me. As nerdy as the midnight X-Files crowd is, I would've expected them to know that Tobin Bell, the guy who plays Jigsaw, had a guest role on the X-Files a few years before the first Saw. Anyway...

chojuaniche - It's nice to see The Crush Of Love back. That was one of my first favorite songs when I was getting into Satch, and I think it's a fun one live.

The Paris show was recorded for a DVD, but the set was a bit different earlier this year...

hello Satcherlings,

SOTD=WAR.

sometimes joe's song titles are spot on, and when i hear this song i can picture war in the middle east, them challenger tanks and stuff rolling over the desert and f-22s bombing etc.i guess it was the time of the 1st gulf war, but it just has that atmosphere.

also what a face melting solo and some chunky riffs.

P.G. tickets came today.

better get back to processing these pictures-laters

oh and saw cloverfield-thought it was a fantastic film, creepy really. any thoughts.

Igneous : that's cool to be a few interested by the story of the great guitar players..

Rhoads was a prodigy. Just come after the Van Halen revolution, he was starting to push the classical scales boundaries onto hardrock guitar.. but has been stopped by a lethal plane's accident. Who knows what he would have done..

Malmsteen.. well.. it's Malmsteen. A strange sort of fellow. Insane player. Absolutly passionate by classical music, the legend wants that he's come from the Blackmore's thigh. A player with a very strong personnality, full of provocation, that you love, or hate. He is, with Satch, the greatest pioneer come after the Van Halen revolution. Lot of say that he's just an idiotic technician. Don't listen to them : his feeling is extraordinary. & his tone with a Strat out there. But check by yourself :

How he plays Hendrix

How he plays Malmsteen

If you liked, check this intrumental studio song : Crying

& to finish, a song of The Concerto

& if you don't like all that, this means that Malmsteen is not for you.

Van Halen has been a miraculous selfcombustion. Joe is wise. Malmsteen is insane.

hehehe.. sorry.

So I guess Tracie won the bet by 4 rows, so you should get 4 times the prize. Fair. jeje. What was the prize for the winner, by the way? Since I guessed correctly that you and Austin would end up on opposite sides, do I get half the prize?? :)

By the way, Tracie I disagree with your comment that Ticketmaster sells from the outside in. It's been my extensive experience that they sell center out, forcing you to buy a center section/far row seat instead of a side section/front row seat. But if you only buy 1 or 2 tickets they do tend to put you at the end of the rows. You also have to keep in mind that they save some tickets for the premium packages, so this also affects your availability, specially in small venues like the one u guys are attending (it looked small from Austin's map)

I got a row D ticket for 63 bucks, right now there is a row C ticket (with Club Joe) available for 300 bucks. So whomever sits in front of me will have paid 5 times what I paid. I'll leave the comment at that, open for interpretation. =================== djzn, I'm 1.70 meters tall, and in the pic I have of Joe and me we're the same height. So I'd say 1.71 is his exact height.

JOE, care to confirm this??? :)

We've been getting pounded all day by the remmants of hurricane Dolly, and although we've only officially gotten 2 inches of rain, since it's the desert, everything is flooded. Even our plant shut down for the day. So hopefully we'll still be here tomorrow!! Talk 2 u later
