Was gonna post the translation of ZZ's name, & found part of Jpe's interview a while back (CP)...& it's so lovely ....so for all you newbies to T2J out there here goes.......
"That's quite a coincidence actually. Just a coincidence. There are funny coincidences on the record. Someone said to me it's really cool that track five and track ten were both in 5/4 and 10/8 time, it was purely by coincidence. They thought it was some master plan. Z.Z., he comes up with some funny things as children always do. Interesting statements that are improvised in the funniest of situations but wound up sounding very profound to a grownup. He's five and a half now, but 'Psycho Monkey' was something he came up with two or three years ago waking up in the middle of the afternoon after a bad dream and I was working on a song at the time so it was a coincidence of things. 'A Piece of Liquid' was something he just said trying to describe his level of thirst. And then one day we were looking at clouds and I was teaching him the names of the different kinds of clouds cumulus, nimbus, stratus and then he just said well daddy look at that those clouds they look like a 'Train of Angels' and I thought it was really beautiful so that's how he contributed to the songs. 'Z.Z.'s Song' was actually something I had written when my wife was pregnant with him and we used to plug in with this little amp and some headphones and put the headphones on my wife's stomach. It was a song we used to use to calm him down to stop kicking. His name stands for Zachariah Zane, a loose translation means God has remembered John which is my fathers name and that's how we arrived at that."

bad news is T, over there in the US of A you will have to get in line HOURS earlier, unlike us lazy irish crowds who show up later!

That's true Victoria, I was just there in Ireland and caught both of Joe's shows, in Dublin and Belfast. But thanks for the good wishes. Now we hope to catch him here in Reno, and San Francisco...and I'd go to Portland and Seattle if he was actually playing there, HINT HINT JOSEPH!!
My son is happy about the Reno and San Fran shows, since he didn't go to Ireland with me....he's kinda, but not really, perturbed that I'm two shows up on him now, lol. So he's especially looking forward to this road trip in November.
And yer right about that Mckenna, u Irish ARE a lazy lot, I was in line there fer HOURS and HOURS before hardly anyone even bothered to show up!!! FFS!! Here....it's a seated venue for the Reno show so it dunt matter, but u can bet we'll be in line in San Fran for like....ferever beforehand. And even then, all the premium ticket peeps will get in before us....we'll be lucky to be at the stage, with the number of those tix they sell :| *sniff*
So....didya check on the flight costs to Reno yet, eh? U know u wanna come here.

Do the Stu and Cheese - You guys got GREAT seats!! That's going to be so awesome!
You have both been to lots of Joe's shows. Do you really need earplugs? Is he that loud?
I did go to GC and bought my wife some earplugs (of course also an excuse to show her the JS1000). I did get some rather expensive ones that have a tiny tube down the center of them so that you get sound filtered in. Not sure if they really work. What's your opinion? I listen to music at a fairly loud volume from time to time, but never real loud for too long.
BTW, has anyone ever had a conversation with Wolf? That guy has some of the funniest most random posts I think I have ever seen. Just telling a story like an author on any random subject. CLASSIC!!

Hi Joe -yeehah, a lil blue. You seem to have a nice tour gap in September. Hope you've scheduled a well earned break and some quality time with the family
Wow, did I really get away with my BHD post? Ha, no more pictures for you lot! : p
So my boss from 2 years ago phones and asks me to apply for a managers position. The salary isn't what it should be BUT I guess it has scope. Aside from that the company I'd be joining only recently went bust and my 'boss' is putting a team together to resurect it. So, take a chance, or leave it (and that even assumes I get the final offer)? Answers on a message board to.....
Do The Stu - due to a manic run at the minute I haven't had time to myself to concentrate on SC but I have a good old spot of R & R coming up and will do then. I've even printed your notes to "study". Regarding "seeing" Joe, I have associated memories with songs, not related to gigs. Examples of what I thought you might be describing....
Flying in a Blue Dream - first on in the car on route to buy a new road racing bike... but also outside Hamsmith Apollo stage doors with BBC sound crew just being blown away by the tone (or also hair on the back of the neck moment and sudden wave of emotion at G3 Perth).
Driving at night - having a lot on my mind and just going out for a long drive to zone out, and heading for a coastal point near a light house in the early hours
A Train of Angels - the calm before the storm after lining up on the grid for a (motor) race and as the track really kicks in (after that 30 secondish intro) that's when the lights go out and away we go.
So do you see the stories Joe creates, or do you see associations/memories? Or none of the above LOL
Maritime - ah, all in black? You look like a bodybuilder!? And I think your smile is bigger than bouncy happy Josephs!
Anibur - thanks for the pic, and the mails, and the YouToob comment. I'll get back to your other mails as soon as poss.
Cheese - guess that lunch break at work didn't happen LMAO : ) Saw movies, yep, they can be a bit "woah...." but I haven't got to Saw 4 yet (just haven't rented it). I think the ultimate WOAH was "The Hostel". Yikes. Or even Wolf Creek
BigBunny - a proper bike ride has to be at least 25 miles, in somewhere around an hour ; ) he he he. Thanks for the update re Joe and his reply. I don't subscribe to the Armstrong and drugs theory. I don't remember anyone feeling the same about Mig Indurain during his 5(?) tour run. Maybe Lance had extra adrenalin or something due to his illness, but I'd like to think it was all natural, otherwise what's the point. There was a great "20 memorable tour moments" program the other night, really good. Cadel didn't look quite up to it on Alpe D'Huez to me, but still hoping he can take overall
Revan2008 - my ultimate would be the McLarenF1 and I'd take that over the Veyron any day. But my all round fave (and am not normally a 'rarri' fan) is the F430 scuderia - RIGHT up my street that one. I will get one, oh yes (or however the dreamy line fron Waynes World goes)
Igneousiceman - thanks for that. There shouldn't be any combination of OS and browser that I haven't tested so it's got me beat. Unless my (and other) ISP's are stripping stuff out again (they did it a while back to stop people downloading illegally but missed that it affected other protocols - DOH!). Yes, sometimes our friends Downunder do trouble me, but they're such a laid back bunch and so friendly that more of the time I just wish I was there. It's a great place. Oh, PS, if you have an HP laptop don't install SP3 without first doing a bit of google - it can end up in a boot loop
Dream3 - a while back, you were having chat probs which you then remedied? Any ideas what you did then, and what's changed recently (if anything) on your PC's to kill it? Maybe an MS patch has FUBARD it for us all...
Have a great day all
E C H O... again ; )

I'm off to see a midnight showing of the X-Files movie tonight...woohoo!
Satriella - Hi...it's good to see you back here.
"28 pages.....cant catch up with that lot..... "
Hehehe... You can't skip ALL of them. You still know something that I want to know...! ;-)
Tostado - Joe recorded his show in Paris earlier this year.
And Joe only has one kid. His name is Z.Z. and he's almost 16 years old.
Blue_Moon - What's your favorite Satch album? I don't think I've ever asked you...
And...in what crazy world do you live where the Crystal Planet tour extended past EOC and into 2002? ;-)
REVAN 2008 - Hmmm...I think it really depends on what you want to do. Go to the beach? Go skiing? Go hiking? See a lot of history? Focus on entertainment things? I assume your question is hypothetical though...right?
If you want the most bang for your buck, I'd say it's probably best to go to the northeast (New England area) or Southern California. You'll find beaches and mountains/snow in both places, and there's tons of (different) historical things in each area.
If you just want the beach, Hawaii and Florida are your top choices. If you want skiing, go to Colorado. Entertainment would be best in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I've never been there, but Chicago is a nice all-around city. San Francisco is, too (I've been there several times). And if you can only go to one city, I'd say New York wins out over everything.
You mention Monument Valley (FYI, the cover photo of Led Zeppelin's DVD was taken here) and the Grand Canyon. I've never been to either place, but I have been to Joshua Tree National Park. It's absolutely beautiful...
Igneousiceman - Chickenfoot will be recording in the break between Joe's South American and North American tours. The Sammy Hagar article that seemed to contain most of the information we all know about Chickenfoot mentioned recording around Labor Day (early September).
Tuesdayschild - I'm seeing four (!!!) shows in four days, so I'll have plenty to say. I'm not sure how often I'll have internet access during my trip, but I'll take plenty of notes and share as much as I can. It'll be about 1,000 miles of driving. Fun, fun, fun... ;-)
hybes - To be honest I know my hearing has suffered a bit from all the concerts I go to (in general, not Satch). I've never worn ear plugs at a Satch show, but I've made sure to have access to them at some shows. The riskiest place to be is standing right in front on Joe's side at a GA venue with a fairly high stage because that'll put your head right even with his JSX cabinet. But even then, it's only BAD when Joe uses certain effects (like his whammy pedal). But if you're anywhere else you'll be fine.
I think it's good that your wife has earplugs. I bet you'll be fine without them, though. If you're still iffy, you'll be good if you bring a tissue to tear up and put in your ears "just in case". But I really think you'll be OK.
js1200js1000 - Happy birthday!
Joe Satrini - OK, I get where you're coming from. And we agree a bit, so that's cool. I'll reply later. :-)
Listening to: Joe Satriani - Time
EDIT - Time from 4:15-4:25 is one of the coolest moments of Satch guitar ever.
...Austin...

ty hybes, it's Joe so it's always great. I just got done talking to my son and telling him about our seats, he was pleased :) As fer the volume at Joe's shows...well.....since we're usually at or very near the stage....we go deaf every time. Lose a lotta hearing for a day or three, everything sounds muffled afterwards. Especially when we do shows back to back. I thought I was never gonna hear properly again after the two shows in Ireland. Sooo.....yeah....take some earplugs or something. I think I'ma check into the better quality ones though, not the foam ones, they block too much sound.
Happy Birthday Chadley and remember....u just had a baby, u can't afford a guitar/car/premium Joe tix :D Hope you had a nice day, whad Cory get u?
Mckenna, U book it and I'll drag u around fer as long as we're in the area. Sorry, I won't be home but yer welcome to the porch anyway...and heck, lets go deluxe....u can sleep on the BACK porch instead of the front...it's much bigger :)
Joe Satrini...lunch break at work? The only thing my brain can come up with is I prolly said I'd get back to yer email then...well....yeah, guess that was a few daze ago....they've sent me all over creation since then, and back again. I was just looking at yer mail tonight, thinking I'd prolly better get to it some time this weekend :) Sorry for the wait, but....yeah. I don't think I've seen The Hostel....but started to watch Wolf Creek and got bored...don't hate me. Haven't seen Saw 4 yet, but I hear it leaves it wide open for a Saw 5 fer sure. Of course it does.
Zinfandel chelle? Isn't that a lil.....light and fluffy fer u?
