BigBunny: Nah, that's fine I like it. =D I get what you mean about the spectators though, they do seem a bit...erm...pushy. I remember on year one trying to get an action pic, he knocked this guy from Telecom off his bike. Needless to say the guy was a wee bit annoyed. Did you see Evans' reaction to that Aussie interviewer? He gave one hell of a swipe when the guy touched his (injured) shoulder. He was either very very cranky, or it was still sore from the crash. I'm going to miss four or so days of coverage...noooo! Although, there will be a lot more posts than missed breakaways =D
hybes: good luck pal!
oooh, only 3 more posts to go...do I get a prize?
Listening to: These Days by Nick Bowley Very nice ballad, give it a listen: here.

Hey Joe.. I have a, uh, sort of a request. Would you please play some different songs @ concerts and live shows for DVD makings.
Like, you never play, any song from the album JOE SATRIANI, only Cool#9.. You never play Echo, Time Machine, Banana Mango, You Are My World, Secret Prayer, A Train Of Angels(which i wanna see u play i mean really want to..so bad), Ride, Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness.. etc.. Please man.. I searched the whole internet, no videos for those songs.. If your gonna make a DVD soon, please play more than 20 in it and play some different songs. I mean, i have like 15 different video file for Ice9, or Surfing, but none for Motorcycle Driver.. Please Joe, please play them as well ! Take care, send my best to Mrs. Satriani, ZZ and Jeff... I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING !

Was there a date for when the Satchurator comes out? Musiciansfriend said it was coming out July 15 (...Joe's b-day, coincidently), but apparently it's not out yet... Any clues?

Did anyone see Rush on the Colbert Report tonight? I don't usually watch the show, but I heard they'd be on. They were interviewed and then they played Tom Sawyer. (EDIT - See? I REALLY don't watch the show...I accidentally called it the Colbert Show at first...haha.)
Stephen made a really funny comment during the interview...something along the lines of "You're known for writing epics...have you ever written a song so long that you were actually influenced by yourselves by the end of it?"
maritime - Thanks for posting those Satch videos...it was cool to hear Joe talk about all that...
Zenfish - Are you a Deep Purple fan at all? I finished llistening to Purpendicular today...I mentioned that album a few posts ago. But the last song on it is Don't Hold Your Breath...have you heard it by any chance? Steve Morse gets a great EVH-sounding tone on that song.
Guitarman77897 - It's interesting that you mention the age thing...I don't make that connection, but I notice favorites with the same initials. For one example, Joe Perry, Jimmy Page, John Petrucci, and Jaco Pastorious...
satrionic1 - Hi... I agree with your point, sorta. Joe doesn't release DVDs from every tour, but he has played quite a few of the songs you mentioned in recent years.
Time Machine is currently in Joe's setlist, and it was played at this summer's Paris show that was recorded for a CD/DVD release.
ZuperDave - Awesome...congrats on the early birthday gift. ;-) It's good to see you back here, even if it's only for a brief while...how's life treating you?
Listening to: Explosions In The Sky - The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place (current song: Six Days At The Bottom Of The Ocean)

Iggy i worked out how to remember your name IG NEO (from the Matrix) US ICEMAN (like a superhero name) >=;)
i didn't see Cadel have a go at an aussie journo...what's wrong with these people!! they know he's broken it before and has come off again...i wonder if he's broken it again and is on painkillers?? but Michael Rogers broke his collarbone last year and had to pull out. I think he was the one who went over the cliff edge...do you remember that? O_o another rider went over but managed to grab the rail and climb back up.
I remember that spectator - he stood in the middle of the road to get a GREAT photo!! only for the cyclist to go into him...stupid stupid people!
roo that's great that you got the pick...enjoy tonight!! last Aussie Gig for Joe. i'd join your chat man but it says i gotta sign up to the site and i don't know what that place is. are they gonna send me emails and annoy me?

Matt: I like the way you casually say '...and crushing day and any other songs I feel like...' Of course, for me crushing day is just a quick warm-up ;-) (that was the famous British sarcasm) =D
BigBunny: That is rather ingenious if I might say =D Unfortunately for the last few years we haven't been able to watch coverage, so missed inspiring Armstrong moments like this. That really shows how respected (or feared) that guy was, I watched a programme once that said his lungs and heart are something like 1/3rd bigger than the average humans'. Pretty amazing guy really. Another thing I missed was that big crash. Can't have been nice to see. I take it you are a cyclist yourself?
DoTheStu: Bet they appreciated that comment...=D
Can I just ask what 'Out of the Sunshine' is in the set list?!

Do the Stu : nop.. never really been into Deep Purple. Just got the Live in Japan. Awesome of course.
Morse is great.
About evh assimilated into Morse, Simple Simon is a good example i think
& if you get time, you can check here the Steve Morse i admire : Good tone, awesome technic, & great composition. Can we ask more to a guitar player?

Right, I'm off for a few days, please please please don't post too much. I remember when I got one or two days behind, ***shudder***. Thank you very much. =D
