Joe, "you're arriving on a point that no one can reach you..." - words from the lead guitar of the band that opened the concert on July 31st, in Rio. That was the 6th concert I went to and (it's impressive) the show is better better better than... The guys were spectacular. The musics, the lights, the guitars, the interaction with the crowd... Were amazing! The sounds from your guitar are something... No one can reach you...

Thank you very much, guys!

Ken : me, i'm workin'. & get closed family here in holidays.. that's some wonderfull days.

As already said, to me, Hendrix is the greatest Bluesman of 20th century. 21th is just beginning, & unfortunatly, Jimi is no more here, even if his influence goes on. A mess whose our society is crazy about.

I've been into the whole Hendrix during sometime.. the whole Hendrix, with all the insane aspects. But i got the luck to go out.

What i learnt with him is finally very simple : Be yourself. Don't double-cross yourself. Music is a whole world. Don't double-cross music. Showbiz is a trap.

You see. some very simple lessons. But essential.

Wolf2 - Do you eat paint chips? Why are you on a Joe Satriani site if you don't talk about Joe and all you do is write non-sensical drivel? You should really look into getting some professional help...Seriously

I have not seen Satch live yet, but I just bought a Club Joe ticket for his Atlanta show in October, which just so happens to be on my birthday.

What's the problem with mentioning Rush?

Oh there's no problem with mentioning Rush, it's just that whenever someone does we end up talking about them for a few days...which is actually quite good! By the way, they are the cover stars of Classic Rock magazine this month. About time too...=D

Just watched the Live In San Franciso dvd, I must say it was rather good. Big bad moon is a very cool track.

Listening to: Tundra by Nick Bowley

Igneousiceman - Yeah, I get what you're saying about a lot of U2's music sounding the same. I sorta see that, although it doesn't bug me too much. Then again, my favorite albums are The Unforgettable Fire and Achtung Baby...and those are practically on different sides of the musical spectrum. Maybe that's why I like 'em... ;-)

byrne - Hi...Cryin' is currently in the set, you should hear that one when you see Joe.

Additional Creations is the only place you can find Turkey Man...I'd suggest looking on Ebay.

symphonyofnames - Aaand here we go...what's your favorite Rush album? :-)
Listening to: Explosions In The Sky - The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place (current song: The Only Moment We Were Alone)

Alot of U2s current music does sound the same. U2 has gotten a bit lazy. But to think that U2s catalog as a whole sounds the same is pure musical ignorance. Like i said before The Edge comes in a close 2nd to Joe as my favorite guitarist. More the Joshua Tree/Zoo TV/Popmart live Edge though. I feel like he is too held back on the studio albums sometimes.

So does Joe always use the same exact guitars each show? or does he get new ones each show?

Elpp-yea I kno college is important, and I will go but it's not like a $300 ticket to see Joe is going to change that! thats what I meant, not that I wasn't going to college just for Joe's concert. but thanx for the advice tho.

John-How's the guitar treating ya? improve your tone much?

tune of the day-professor satchafunkilus.

wheres the love for this tune? its great!

I guess U2 garner alot of different opinions.

one odd observation they seemed to start off very straight-then go weirder, like some sort of drugs phase, now they seem kinda relaxed with themselves.

I am getting to know "Is there love in space?" better... This album has really grown on me... I like the mastering a lot (even though it's still a bit loud)... The songs are very well written, it's funny most of Joe's albums grow on me after a couple of listenings. The only one that didn't fully grown is the new PSATMOR... I guess because it sounds like "AM radio".

They should be on the cover. They should also be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Favorite album by Rush... Moving Pictures of course, and I really love 2112 as well.

What kind of guitars/basses do you all play?

Heeeey Everyone, Long time no see. I'm just here to congratulate Joe cause he Really ROCKKKEEED in RIO!! Awesome stuff you put in there, Joe.

I really liked that you gave on that concert so much value to your songs which I also give lots of value.. For example.. I've been finishing learning crying exactly one day before the concert and Mr. Satchafunkilus played that one song with so much care for every note like it had all to be perfect... ^.^ Keep it all up, professor..! Brazil will always support you with many fans

So says the spirit...

Joe,

My name is Jake Miller and I am coming to the Club Joe meeting and concert in Dallas Texas in November. I still cant believe im coming to meet you. Its like a dream to me. Your music is what got me into guitar playing. I just cant wait. I know that you struggle to meet the ever increasing demands of your fans and it must be very difficult. I am EXREMELY happy that I get to hang out with you for one whole hour! If by some chance you happen to get to read this message, just remember that I will be there. Thank you very much.
