Just sitting here watching the debate and had to post this really fast because it is very funny to me. Has anyone noticed that Obama starts off with the same phrase EVERY time? It's, "First of all" I wonder if there is ever anything past first of all? LOL. It's a good debate though

Palin declined an after debate interview. WTF!!! Does her lack of speaking on these important issues concern any McCain fans? They had feckin Rudy stand it. Guess they know she'll screw it up for sure. Just remember, if shit goes sideways with McCain's health, SHE will be our president. She got balls for nothing if she can't even do important interviews and is hiding from the press. If every time she's supposed to say her mind she has a man stand in for her, well, that just doesn't say much for her at all. Smoke and mirrors - and there's yer proof. MILF - maybe. VP - no way! And that *I* in MILF does not include ME! lmao!!

chelle...she was also interviewed by Katie Couric, and kept dodging an important question...Katie kept asking it in various ways until finally, Palin just smiled a big ole smile at her and said..."I'll have to get back to you on that". If I remember correctly, it may have been a question on McCain's foreign policies....and she couldn't speak to them AT ALL.

So.....yeah.....ffs. People need to wake the hell up and really take notice and make intelligent decisions, whatever they are, just be informed, folks. Don't choose a president based on what others tell you. Our country is in serious trouble...I hope to God we make the right choice.

Hey Joe and crew,

I just got the email with regards to meet and greet in Edmonton, AB next Saturday (October 4th). Looking forward to meeting you with my 'wanna be' guitar virtuoso, my 15 year young son (yes, I'm too old to be that ;-))) I hope, you'll play the Summer Song which has been our favorite for some time (BTW: the new album simply rocks!!!)...

Awesome European tour video clips!

We're at: therockgeneration.com

All the best,

Mark K.

michelle,

Well, it may be easy to write this from abroad (for me, this day) but, it feels like you guys have been taking it without vaseline for eight years and to top it all off, they used an elephant's 'part' to finish it...

I hope, you guys don't take it the wrong way ;-)))

Peace,

Mark

ummm, that's kinda scary that foreign policy includes ALASKA. Damn furreners anyway!! ;)

Mark....all are entitled to their opinion...I think much of the world thinks we're idiots here in the states because of our current leadership....but it ain't our fault!!! We've been had!! And hopefully, we do a better job this time around in picking our new president...but trust me...many of us here feel the dry pain that u speak of, LOL!

Ahem...so anyway....

One week till Joe's first show of the new tour....people are getting excited!! But some folks are having problems getting their info for the Club Joe package, so hopefully those that get the info will help them out....you're going to have an amazing time Mark!!

Hey cheese101,

We aren't that far away and, to be honest, in the same boat anyway!

With regards to the gig in Edmonton, I know a lot of kids (from our society's guitar students group) who, would love to see Joe play but, the venue's info states '18+' only (contrary to ticketmaster and other sources) so, many parents opted out (I was second guessing myself too).

Thanks for the good cheer on the gig! I have the new CD and know it's goooooood!!!

Mark...u and yer son....might wanna tape yer socks and shoes on nice and tight, cuz Joe tends to blow them offa people, specially if it's the first time to see him live, LOL!! All that plus a meet and greet...well....a night you and your son won't forget, to be sure :) Joe is quite simply...the best.

I hope you can help Chad (js1200js1000) out with some info, he bought his Club Joe tickets awhile ago and has yet to get any info in his emails. I'd hate to see a big Joe-fan miss out!

I guess the world is a mess, eh? Pretty soon, they'll prolly hafta charge us all for air to breathe. Sigh.....

HI JOE!

PS...I dislike the 18+ and 21+ gigs...the venues are the ones who decide on the age limit, and there are so many younger fans who dream of seeing Joe play live. Hope it works out for your boy! My son will be 21 this February, so we will be able to finally stop worrying about it, and him missing out on some shows.

I replied to your email. Somewhere in there, it states: one personal item only. Damn it, all I have, remotely close, is an Ibanez RGT42. I hope it will do... ;-))) as our local store is waiting for the JS stock to come in...

Take care everyone,

Well there is certainy some interesting banter tonight. I find it interesting that Palin does not speak when it's crunch time. Interesting strategy.

I will have to say this though...and DTS is a journalist and may be able to put some facts to what I am going to say: Like him or hate him, this 8 year stint at President has been arguably the MOST challenging in our countries history. Some of it Bush's own doing and some of it not. But think about all the things that have taken place in our country over the past 8 years. Bush walked rigtht in to ENRON and then World com. 2 of the largest business collapses in history. Then 9-11. Then Afghanastan. Then Iraq. Then New Orleans. How miuch was gas 8 years ago? about 1.10 a gallon? It's been close to 4 dollars a gallon for a while now. The largest wild fires in US history, Korea and Nukes, Iran and Nukes, Russia....and the list really goes on.

Now I'm certainly not going to committ myself to being a bush fan but I know there has never been a term in my lifetime that had this many MAJOR events take place. If I were Bush, I would be SOOOOOOOOO happy my term is over.

I feel for the next President. They are going to spend much of the first term putting out fires and cleaning up messes.

hybes,

This isn't the forum to discuss political and/or economic topics and I don't intend to do so in any detail but, there are some very rudimental ideas concerning free market economies. These have been developed from past bad experiences and, somehow, systematically dismissed of by the 'empowered'. There seems to be no end to hunger for power. This is why free markets fail (hint: monopolies).

Nothing new, really...

Argh...I have a pretty bad sore throat; I hope it doesn't turn into a full-fledged cold. I think I caught it at work...is it wrong that I'm not mad about it because the person who likely gave it to me is really cute? ;-)

Anyway, onto slightly more Satch-related things, what's with everyone calling me DTS all of the sudden? Each time I see that I think "Digital Theater System"...haha.

Hugsamuchilus - A quick internet search tells me that the two songs you mentioned are tracks Joe contributed to on Pat Martino's All Sides Now from 1997.
ricardocst - Hi...welcome to the site. You don't need Joe's permission to post a video of yourself playing Summer Song on YouTube...go for it!
lorenzo001 - Ah, the Vital Techtones...I've heard OF them, but I haven't heard any of their music. What's a good album of theirs to start with?
hybes - I'm relatively young so there isn't really much I can compare Bush's term to. But in my mind (personally, not as a journalist) I think I agree that the last eight years have been busier than Clinton's eight years (or Bush senior's four years). That's about as far back as I remember with any specificity though.

Bush might not be the smartest president we've had, but so many of the things that have happened during his time in office are not his fault. It's calmed down a bit recently (or maybe it's just that I'm out of school), but it really bugs me to see so many people hate on Bush because it's the "cool" thing to do. That doesn't solve problems, it only makes them worse.

As far as the media goes, in my mind it seems like the AP (and media outlets in general) elected a Democrat for president in the 2006 midterm elections. It bugs me how at work there's an accepted attitude that Democrats are correct and Republican ideas are stupid. Sure, you can say you aren't biased, but if you're cracking jokes about it as you give the Republicans their equal coverage I'm sure something is slipping into the paper on a subconscious level.

I lean more to the right than to the left, but I'm not a die-hard Republican by any means. I have a problem with political parties in general, actually.

And speaking of Die Hard, haha, check out this clip from the movie. Skip ahead to the 0:54 mark. Gas was 74 cents per gallon in 1988.

I really don't mind about the whole Presidential thing, but, I really wouldn't feel comfortable with Sarah Palin anyway near office after watching that interview with her. "Putin rearing his head" or whatever it was, that's really going to help relations isn't it Sarah?!?!

I agree that Bush hasn't had an easy time of it, but he hasn't made it any easier for himself has he!

Do The Stu (better?!): Get well soon! The thing with people hating Bush for the sale of it has been rife over here for a few years now. First it was Mr.Blair, and then Mr.Brown. I suppose at the end of the day, you can't win in politics! Cheery thought eh? =D
