AS PER STU'S MYSPACE, feel free to post that on the other music sites you peeps go to. SPREAD THE WORD!

Joe satrini but really phil, I'm not sure if it was from the same lot of vids or not. I just come across these things on my own and thru links posted here. It's kinda hard to keep track of what goes together beings there's so much Joe out there :-)

Austin, J. Simpson is all jugs and hair. If yer anything like my husband, you watch her with the tv muted. lmao!!

Skippygirl, you have to get the G3 Live In Tokyo DVD! It's killer!

Slan, the Universal sock monster comes to yer house to, eh? lol! I have a 23 yr old niece who refuses to wear two of the same socks just for that reason. It confuses the sock monster when ya don't care if ya have matching feets. lol!

Update on my pop... We just had him back to Hershey for a check-up. He's doing better than he was. He was having a rough time for about 12 days. He still has some problems, but they doc said they think they got all the cancer. That doesn't mean he's totally free and clear yet, but it's great news for now. Thank you to all who sent good vibes and prayers to my parents over the last few weeks. He said to tell all my friends to keep it up - it's working, and he says THANKS

Alan, let us know how yer commando feet & junk feel after yer holiday, and please take count of all yer socks and britches so you know if the sock monster goes on holiday.

And, on the way to the hospital with my parents today, I had Crystal Planet playing. Rasp. Jam came on, and I said how I love this song. My mom says "Is this that Joe Sandioni guy?" sigh* I said "Yeah mom, it's Joe Sandioni." lmao!!

Guitarman77897 - This Chickenfoot thing is only a side project, but even if it were a full-time thing I don't think Joe would stop making solo albums with Jeff and the other guys...

In this latest interview Joe said they've written about two albums worth of Chickenfoot music, so for now I see them staying together for two album cycles. Assuming the first album is recorded in December I think a spring 2009 release and summer tour is likely. I can then see Joe doing some kind of solo thing (a G3 tour overseas, maybe?) later that year, and then making 2010 another Chickenfoot album and tour year assuming the project isn't a commercial failure. After that, I bet everyone goes back to their own thing.

Joe has kinda always done things on his own terms, but you have to remember these other guys are in bands too. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony touring with the Wabos in between all of this Chickenfoot stuff, but Sammy will want to get another solo album out soon too. And the Red Hot Chili Peppers are on hiatus, but I can't see that lasting longer than late 2009 or early 2010 so Chad Smith's availability will become somewhat limited by then.

michelle - I love those Riff of the Week podcasts...hopefully he'll start using stuff from his new album soon for the ROTW bumper music. ;-)
Powerslave214 - Welcome back...what've you been up to?

...Austin...

Satrini - thanks for the set up tips. I am probablly just being a little paranoid since I've never used a tremolo system before, but I guess better safe than sorry. Also, thanks for the strings link. I just ordered 10 of them.

Do the Stu - I do know of harmonics, but I have never really practiced them much. You mentioned harmonics on the bridge or close to the bridge? This I am not familiar with. I just know the standard 5, 7 and 12th frets. Sometimes when I'm playing I get the non traditional type harmonics, but I think that has something to do with my thumb scraping the string that I am picking. Not totally sure on that one. It's funny when you make a mistake and it sounds good.

Michelle - Love the lick of the week. I gotta try to get one of those t shirts. That is quite funny.

Mr. Satriani: What an honor it is to write you in person. Your music is inspiring to those weak in spirit. It is food for the starving souls. I am very curious to know what inspired you to write the song "Champagne?" from the "Engines of Creation" album. I guess the question mark at the end of the word makes me curious. That song has a remarkable intensity. I just keep thinking, "man what was going through his mind when he wrote this?" I tend to ask myself that with a lot of your work. Please, keep in rockin! Your music helps keep me alive! Peace.
