Hey hey goodblokes um i saw satch 3 times back in July in Adelaide and melbourne and all 3 times i missed out on the 2008 tour keychain :/ anyone got any ideas of how i can get myself one? I dotn know off any satch merchandise sites. Which is really really good because its just another fact that satriani has never got materialistic hes all about the love of music... but im just stating the obvious...

anyways yeh these satch keychains r magical i heard about a couple that got together because they both had the same satch keychains and now there married!

anyways any help would be greatly appreciated. Even if someones willing to get one for me when they next see satch that wud be sweet... ;)

Satch 4 life Ciao :D

This vid is hilarious!

It's also the vid that al & cheese (Tracie) are in :-) You can see al at 2:21, and T is in the crowd somewheres behind him. Then you can see Tracie at 6:33 in her perty salmon blouse, with al right to the left (our left) of her. Good times man!

I think that by the time the band gets to the west coast, Stu will have another camera (first one was stolen). He should get a lot of you peeps (including al - all the way from Dublin) on video. That would be cool to have al & Tracie on two vids in two different countries.

CREEPY!

Just wondering if there is anyone else out there from Milwaukee Wis who would like to see Joe play here again????? Anyone? It's been 4 long years since he played the Pabst Theater which was the best venue I've seen him at in town. It would be cool to find a post on this site from someone else in MKE who shares in my frustration.....

ha! Mari gets nads for a wedding present. lol! It's always good to start off married life with yer fair share. I hope it was the left one, cause they come in handy. So when is the wedding - or was it already? We can send her happy wedding day vibes.

All that planning and the day goes by so fast ya barely know what's going on. Then when it's over, yer kinda depressed. lmao! NOT cause yer married (I know you guys went there!), but because it's like...now what? lol! So much rukus over a little piece of paper. lol!

That said, I highly recommend it! lol! It's a beautiful thing :-)

Slan, t'was me behind the camera. I was on the sofa looking out the window. Maybe I'll take a vid of their band practice this weekend. They'll have to turn down, cause it's so feckin loud the cam will prolly hiss back at me. lol!

I've just signed up for cycling, swimming and archery enrichment at college. That's on top of medical club and debating. And that's on top of my many many lessons per day. With two 45 minute breaks in the day. Hmmm, I can do the maths and I can't see that working very well. Oh well, you only live once. (unless you'r cryogenically forzen, but we won't go into that...=D)

I was sent a link to this video on theJemini. You may have already seen it, but it is pretty cool anyhoo.

Are there any Radiohead fans here? I've always known a little bit about them, but I never really heard their music until a co-worker gave me copies of two of their albums a few days ago... I got Hail To The Thief, which I think is so-so (but only after one listen) and In Rainbows, which I'm listening to right now and already really like.

She gave me these albums in response to me giving her a big mess of my music to check out (Satch, Vai, EJ, Stu Hamm, Dream Theater, LTE, Porcupine Tree, Yes and Rush, among other things). She told me yesterday that she really liked LTE, which was a nice surprise.

I was a bit worried about her not liking Satch, so I maybe picked more ballads to give her than I should have. She loves his acoustic and techno stuff, but said some of the ballads were "too syrupy". I think that's the best complaint...all I did was try too hard when I didn't need to. Anyway...

thebadger1848 - Yes, Joe is married. His wife's name is Rubina, and they have a son, Z.Z.
Teh Extremist - Ah...I collect keychains too.

Can you find the keychain in Joe's merch section at Fanfire?

If not, send me an email...if you pay for the cost and shipping I'll buy one at one of my Satch shows in November and send it out to you.

michelle - That picture is pretty funny...it reminds me of this photo in the liner notes of one of Ozzy's albums (Bark At The Moon, maybe?) of him dressed up like a woman in a robe and curlers standing by an ironing board. The facial expression is kinda similar. Sorry for not having a link, but I can't find it online at the moment (maybe that's a good thing).
Igneousiceman - Yeah, someone posted that Jemini link a few days (weeks?) ago. I love it...Steve's got such a great sense of humor.

Hi all - weekend at last.....

Roo - thanks for the chicken foot link. Personally I was hoping chicken foot was a working title so I'm relieved to hear it's just that. But it's the music that counts so if that was the name, so be it. Can't wait to hear the material!

Zinc Master - I didn't know that (about the running) but after your post I was checking the news and there was lots of footage of just that. I really hope he can win the Tour and shut everyone up once and for all.

Michelle - I love the archive stuff so wondered if you'd discovered yet more. Keep posting them - everyone here finds such great stuff! That's great news about your Dad. Continued good wishes

Erm.. did Wolfy just post to Joe?

Hybes - no, not paranoid, if it's not something you've done before you're bound to have questions. I like those strings, they sell them in 'mega' boxes now lol. I like the comment about "non traditional" harmonics when you accidentally drag your thumb. Those are artificial harmonics and sound great, the others being natural. DTS has described it crystal clear. When you're ready start pinching the string between plectrum and thumb (not a great description) and enjoy the squeals..... (with distortion/overdrive works better obviously)

JS1200JS1000 - how many days now? : )

Igneousiceman - thanks, I caught Autosport, I think everyone is in agreement that Mosley, the 3 stewards and Ferrari (sounds like a wierd book) are ...ahem... "incorrect" in penalising Lewis. I did single seaters: Formula Ford and Formula 3. You excited about the return of Lance? I hope he kicks ass

Was going through my hard drive binning junk and found these two.....

Ladies, the first one has important information for you in case you encounter this ..... ; )

Second one = ouch

Have a great weekend everyone... Monday will probably arrive way too fast

How many famous " Joe " guitar players can you name

Joe Satriani Joe Walsh Joe Pass

That's all I can think of right now due to an over consumption of rolling rock.

anibur - I think Chickenfoot can be considered everyone's band now, but if you had to pick one person I'd say it's Sammy's project. It definitely isn't Joe's, as some of the earliest mentions of the band (such as this) don't mention Satch at all.

Michael Anthony hasn't done much outside of Van Halen, so it doesn't seem like he'd be the one to start a new band like this. And while Chad Smith has done a bit of work outside of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but it's usually as a sideman. So that leaves Sammy...and when you look at all the different projects he's done over the years, it's easy to see that this fits right in.

I get the feeling you were half kidding with your original comment, but I thought it was worth a reply anyway...

Joe Satrini: Hmmm, it does sound oddly like a book title that....=D You been watching The Tour Of Britain? One of the guys in the breakaway yesterday (that got caught about 6km from the finish) used to live down the road from me. Yeh, that's my claim to fame. There's no doubt about Lance kicking ass, it's just whose and how much we should be wondering about...That's pretty cool that you raced Formula Ford and F3, I sometimes drive them on the computer. (not quite the same) How did all that turn out for you? Oh, and I definetely have the deadliest virus on earth today. All phlegmy and 'orrible...(bet y'all really wanted to know that...;-)

Joe Walsh is a very good guitarist. Just thought you should all know that. But then so are these two.

Just had my first band practice in about 5 months, and it went very well (surprisingly). Roll on the first gig!
