So Michelle, I guess it's fair to say you lean towards the Democratic side a bit??
Barely related topic, I recall thinking that the Howard Dean Yee-haw scream incident seemed like an exaggeration. How can you lose a presidential bid just on one scream? But I answered myself during the Democratic National Convention, I was listening to it on NPR and they interviewed Dean, and all I could think of was of him finishing off every sentence with a HELL YEAH.
"How are you doing today, Mr Dean?"
"I'm doin' fine, yeeeeeeehaw!!"
The lipstick on a pig comment has the risk of doing the same damage to Obama as the scream to Dean. I hope they can defuse it, I still believe the US would do better economically with Obama at the helm, which in turn translates into Juarez doing better economically as well. We'll see.

Thanks Michelle and Do The Stu for your support.
Some questions got answers, maybe hes on the level. His ex gf however, is not. (stalker variety, not willing to give up cherished W.A.G.S position)
Unless he's spinning me a line, but then, having been fed bullshit stories before and finding out that I'm actually one of two gf's I'm very very wary....
Then again, it's not fair to judge him by the way I've been treated by someone else entirely....oh I don't know.....
Pink Floyd are one of the most amazing bands ever. First tune I ever learnt on guitar was 'Wish you were here', me and probably everyone else I know!
Reminds me of my student days....

Hi all,
JS1200JS1000 - LMAO, can't be that long surely? Taking anything to sign, and got your questions lined up?
Igneousiceman - I've only caught some of the action. Was that guy someone you knew/hung out with and is he or was someone else your inspiration? As for racing, I ran out of money (not remotely loaded)... but in my first morning in an F3 car I was as quick as Sato so I guess I had potential? Who knows. I had and still have that deadly virus.. is a pain in the... well, nose currently
Hybes - with a little persistence you should find the naturals really easy, just be gentle/light and go for the 5th/7th/12th fret ones to get the feel. Artificials are more about technique I think (if you class pick position as technique) but still relatively easy when you apply Stu's math
Tuesdayschild - thanks for your youtoob message. That sucks (about your 'BF'), it does sound like it's time to run, hopefully he'll see sense. Hope it works out ok for you
Blue Moon - crying on guitar, or drunk man crying!?
RIP Richard Wright - Shine on
Delayed post but seems more relevant - was having what felt like a sh**e day, but realised I was being an idiot & gave myself a slap!
Reading some old posts from you guys I realised I shouldn't be complaining about anything. Ended up queing up a list of tracks to play to just zone out & then this - Thinking of You - fell out.
So, figured was probably worth sharing, hope it brings a smile to anyone who needs it.
Nite all
P.S Cube/JS1200JS1000 - nice t-shirt eh!?!

So does anyone here use Itunes as their digital music store? I have recently downloaded Itunes 8.0 and man what a resource hog!! It's like running internet with a 56K modem.
Also, I was going to sample a few tracks from the Metalica CD that came out 3 or 4 days ago. It already had nearly 1600 reviews!! That is amazing! Ya think they have a few fans out there?
By the way, great SNL post! That skit had me in tears.

Anyone caught being drunk in public in the Republic of Ireland now faces an on-the-spot fine.
New regulations allow gardaí to issue a fixed-penalty notice to anyone who has committed a public order offence.
The offender then has the option of either facing prosecution through the courts or of paying a one-off fixed fine.
This is 100 euro for being drunk in public or 140 euro for being drunk and disorderly.
Once issued with a fine, offenders have up to 28 days to pay.
Justice Minister Dermot Ahern said that the policy would hit offenders "in the pocket - where it will really hurt".
The legislation follows a series of measures introduced last month to tackle public disorder in which gardaí were given the power to confiscate alcohol if public disorder was feared.
The aim of the new measures is to save Garda time by removing the necessity for public order offenders to be prosecuted in court.
The regulations, which Mr Ahern claims will allow gardaí to make more efficient and effective use of their resources, also enable them to direct a person to leave an area peacefully if they have become a nuisance.

REVAN 2008 - How'd you end up seeing Radiohead in concert if you aren't a big fan? Just wondering...
PhilTheMetalHead - I'm a big X-Files fan, and Billy Connolly has a role in the newest movie. I know he's a comedian but I don't know any of his stuff. Can you dig up a good link or two to share?
Joe Satrini - Cool cover of Thinking Of You. That's been one of my favorite Satch songs recently. I like how you mix things up a bit in your version...
hybes - I use iTunes to listen to music on my computer, but I don't use the music store all that often (I'll never pay for a low quality MP3 when a CD is available...but that's another topic). Still, though, I've noticed things are running a bit slower now that I downloaded iTunes 8. It's a bit annoying, I agree.

I got the Metallica CD, but have yet to listen to it!! Obviously not all that excited about it then! Cool cover though!
I'm having problems with my itunes. When I want to look at a photo in Thumbnail mode, I double click on it and guess what ITUNES STARTS!! I've got round this by looking at photos in filmstrip mode but still WHY!!!
So I'll have a look at that piece of software thanks for that Maritime!
Phil (Satrini) it was a pleasure to see you on youtube....I didn't see the photos you sent me though I think the link didn't work. Possibly my fault....it's funny how youtube messaging doesn't allow clickable links! Why is that! copy and pasting into the header bar didn't work either. Can you post them again here?
I've got a bikers do to go to this weekend, with bf's band headlining the gig. Stalker ex girlfriend will be there too, looking hot as hell no doubt.....
It could be handbags at dawn! I wish she'd just bugger off and stop interfering!
Do the Stu....Billy Connelly is one funny guy, along with other 'british comedians' like Peter Kay and Bill Bailey .

PhilTheMetalhead: Hi, I'm at Runshaw College doing 5 (yes 5) A Levels. And already regretting it...=D What about you?
michelle: Yep, Uni comes after college. You think you're confused? Try trying to work out where your middle school fits in over here!
JSPhil: Well, his parents knew my parents when he was small and I was a mere glint in me father's eye (so to speak). My mum said when we were watching: "Oh, do you remember meeting them once with him in the pram?" Imagine that coming back to 'haunt' you eh? He was a bit too old to be in our little 'playing out' group round where I live.
Tuesdayschild: Peter Kay must be the funniest man alive at the mo. His humour is so 'real'

After several drinks, one of the men had to use the rest room.
Those who remained talked about their kids.
The first guy said, 'My son is my pride and joy.He started working at a successful company at the bottom of the barrel.
He studied Economics
and Business Administration and soon began to climb the corporate ladder and now he's the president of the company. He became so rich that he gave his best friend a top of the line Mercedes f or his birthday.'
The second guy said, 'Darn, that's terrific! My son is also my pride and joy. He started working for a big airline, then went to flight school to become a pilot. Eventually he became a partner in the company, where he owns the majority of its assets He's so rich that he gave his best
friend a brand new jet for his birthday.'
The third man said: 'Well, that's terrific! My son studied in the best universities and became an engineer. Then he started his own construction company and is now a multimillionaire. He also gave away something very nice and expensive to his best friend for his
birthday: A 30,000 square foot mansion.'
The three friends congratulated each other just as the fourth returned from the restroom and asked: 'What are all the congratulations
for?'
One of the three said: 'We were talking about the pride we feel for the successes of our sons. .What about your son?'
The fourth man replied: 'My son is gay and makes a living dancing as a stripper at a nightclub.'
The three friends said: 'What a shame... what a disappointment.'
The fourth man replied: 'No, I'm not ashamed. He's my son and I love him.
And he hasn't done too bad either. His birthday was two weeks ago, and he received a beautiful 30,000 square foot mansion, a brand new jet and
a top20of the line Mercedes from his three boyfriends.'

I bought the new Metallica cd tonight. I only got to listen to the first two songs so far, but I like it. The music is killer, and Lars got his head out of his ass and is not trying to "have a different sound" like he did in *CRINGE* St. Anger. I'd like to shove that friggin snare up his Danish....well, you know. LOL! That was the most horrible sounding drumming in the entire Metallica catalog IMO. Anyways, I won't be able to listen to it again until tomorrow night. I don't think my parents would enjoy my rockin' out to Metallica on the ride to and from the hospital tomorrow. lol! I could play it quietly just so I could hear it, BUT IT'S METALLICA!!! lol! You have to let the sound surround you in the car. lol! It would be a great ride to air out some good cd's, but...oh hell, we'll see how it goes. lol!
elpp, I'm guilty as charged. lol! It's amazing what people will hang on to in a political race. I actually hate politics. Always did, but this is the first time in my life that I believe there's actually a guy worth fighting for. This time I'll actually be voting for someone I WANT in the White House, not just "either guy is a lose/lose situation" so just push democrat. Before all you green party ppl say there's more than 2 ppl to vote for in a presidentail election - there really isn't. To me, it's just a wasted vote. Anyways, the debates will show what's up, and the lies will be debunked, and people can decide who the best man is...which is Obama
;-) lmao!!
Al, the Republic Of Ireland is about to make a whole lot of money! lmao! Keeping drunks off the streets of Ireland is like keeping bubble gum off the streets of New York. It ain't gonna happen. lol!
T-Bone, love that 64! Tell yer parents they have to stay married for another 64! God Bless 'em!
