JOE HOW COME ONE OF YOUR MOST KILLER SONGS "TURKEY MAN" NEVER MAKES IT TO THE SET LIST. I KNOW YOU DO THE OPENING RIFF BEFORE ONE OF YOUR SONGS, AS A LITTLE INTRO, BUT NEVER HEARD COMPLETE.
DID YOU WRITE THAT SONG SITTING WITH THE GUITAR OR IN YOUR HEAD, OR DRIVING LIKE SOME OF YOUR OTHER SONGS. BRIAN

DTS, I like L.A. a lot. It has a lot of weirdos, but who cares! Most of them are harmless anyway... I don't go out a lot, so there's still a lot for me to see...

I just got this email and thought I'd share it...
We Can All Make a Difference If We Just Stand Up
Dear Michelle:
Please join me by tuning in this Friday, September 5, at 8 p.m. (EST) to catch Stand Up to Cancer on ABC, CBS and NBC. This first of its kind one-hour telecast will feature celebrities from film, television, sports, journalism and music coming together to raise money for cancer research. The Lance Armstrong Foundation supports this effort to raise awareness and funds for the cancer fight and Lance Armstrong will participate in the telecast.
Inspired to act by their own personal experiences with cancer, the Stand Up to Cancer team recognizes that we can no longer rely on the current system alone to give us the breakthroughs we need. They are calling on the public to help take matters into our own hands, investing in a revolution that will change the way scientists and clinicians work to understand and treat cancer. Stand Up To Cancer is more than a rallying cry. It is a galvanizing force created to urgently move cancer research forward.
The money raised during this event will go toward building "Dream Teams" made up of scientists, clinicians, technicians and other experts who will focus on a specific cancer problem. Funds will be administered by the American Association for Cancer Research, the largest scientific organization in the world focusing on high-quality, innovative cancer research.
I am inspired by what Laura Ziskin, movie producer and cancer survivor, has put together with her team at Stand up to Cancer and I know this will make a huge impact.

cheese101 - You aren't supposed to post that video... :-( I was so close, yet so far...
cosmic_ape - Yeah, LA can be a crazy place. There are a lot of weirdos here, but there are weirdos everywhere. But if you smile, say hello, and don't do anything stupid you'll never have any problems. That probably sounds funny, but it's true...it so many areas of life, too.
You said you live near the Musician's Institute, right? Have you made your way down to Sunset Blvd. at all? There are a few cool music-related things worth seeing there...Amoeba Music, the Rock Walk at the Guitar Center, and the Rainbow Bar & Grill, not to mention a bunch of famous music venues that are worth at least driving by.
You should check them out the next time you have a free afternoon...or drop me an email and I'll spend a day showing you around, if you'd like.
Do you know if you'll be able to make it to the Satch show at the Wiltern?
Igneousiceman - Congrats on making it through your first day of college. Maybe I missed a post somewhere, but where are you going and what are you studying? What courses are you taking right now? Are you living on campus?
Listening to: Whitford / St. Holmes - Whitford St. Holmes (current song: Sharpshooter)

Tone is infinite. Nobody can be the infinite. But we get the possibility of an idefinite research where dream connects with reality.
Guitar tone is the identity of the guitar player.
For all the rest, as the master said, it's a question of Time

Revan, what did you think of the new Extreme Album? I liked it, I think it's got a very Led Zepplin vibe although I don't like the single 'stars'. I like the last few tunes the best. It's got those distinctive Bettencourt/sharone harmonies, but thank god there's no equivalent to 'More than Words' the song that killed a thousand Kareoke singers by sudden backlash from their paying audience.....
Satriella I emailed that thing about the exam results to everyone I know!
Please folks would you take the time to look at (and maybe comment on) a youtube page I've been working on on behalf of a band who wrote a song for my ex husband, who passed away last year. I'm dating the singer fromt the band, Kieran, although we haven't told anyone else yet - yes the internet is a funny place to keep a secret. I know.
Anyway, heres the link

I Joe!
Up to now i can play almost all of your solos from your last CD and that without any tabs. There is one solo i'm having trouble with; it's the last part of Musterion. I can't find anywhere in music stores, internet, even on your site the guitar tab of this amazing solo (and i'm not only looking for something free!) I would be very happy to play the entire solo of this song
Thanks in advance!

Hi all,
Do The Stu - did you get my email about Super Colossal?
MIchelle - I've been there a lot in the last year with various family members, but not to the degree you and your pops are going through. But I understand, so continued good wishes from me. Oh, and there seemed to be a lot more tour shirts than that over here - a special one just for laydees too!
Igneousiceman - I thought I used to be keen on biking... I take it back! I tend to stick to roadwork, but do the occasional offroad for some fun. Ha, yeah, trunk monkey could be handy
nickguitarmeistro - cool, thanks, it's the one for me. You got any demo's up with it yet? Oh, and what amp/s guitar/s do you use?
Roo - this has the post I mentioned just here
Revan2008 - I think I know one person who told you there was a new extreme album.. and a tour ; ) which reminds me, must get it (came out while I was on hols so totally forgot) - thanks for the reminder!
Tuesdayschild - nice song, has an Ozzy vibe!? Good stuff
Have a good day everyone

DTS, I have driven by Sunset and I already hit the music stores... Not even this GC has decent left handed guitars! But Sam Ash had a couple of the new Fender American Standards, and they're really cool! I just plugged one of them directly into a DeVille and I got a very EJ kind of crunchy rhythm tone... Too bad I had just bought a new Ibanez then, cuz I wanted to get that strat so bad... As for the show, I don't think I'm going cuz we ended up spending way more money than anticipated on this move, and it's gonna take us a while to recover financially... On top of that, being 25 doesn't help me get a lot of financial aid for school, so I'll be spending money on food and shelter exclusively for a while... Bummer :(
But it's good to know now I have the option of having more concerts to go to. L.A. is a very nice place to live if you like live music...

DTS: Aah, I wondered whether this might confuse; college over here is propably like high school or something over in the US of A. It's for ages 16-18...but I'm studying Chemisrty, Biology, French, German and Psychology. I only know of 4 or 5 others doing 5...and that's out of 3 and a half thousand. I must be special =D
Trouble is, after 3 months or so, I have virtually forgotten all ma francais und meinen Deutsch. Nicht bon...
Zf: Ever considered becoming a philosopher?
The main song on the 'Twister' sounds good, quite Iron Maiden ish...nicely original raw sound...
Joe Satrini: Ah well! I'm young, the perfect time to be enthusiastic!
Now to bed, I am soooooo tired after two days, what's it going to be like after a few months?!?!? =D

Cosmic ape : i used to play with a Fender Standard Strat 2006. I'm not unhappy with it.
Igneous : has studied philosophy during several years in university & got a teacher's formation, but realized this job was not for me. I still used to read philosophy books with lot of pleasure, even if my biggest pleasure is reading the great poets. & no, i don't think that i'm a philosopher.
& you, what is your job if you get one? Or do you follow some formation?
