Awww, feel better T-Bones.

Check out 1987 Joe!

I'm thinking it was newlywed Joe there too, but I'm not sure. Anybody know?

Me and Wavey were married about 3 weeks after that vid was made. It was a lovely year.

Good luck with the interview Alan, I spose it would be great to surrounded by guitars all day.

Michelle that vid was great - the short hair don't look too bad at all and what's on the T-Shirt - Einstein? But he is definitely much cooler at 50 than 30, and I really like how he doesn't pull as many face contortions and O mouths now.

Oh well, I reckon the 2009 Tour is a pregone conclusion now. Great to hear Armstrong is back in the game...

Matt: Good for you! I think everyone should find their own 'area' in sport, be it racing or just pootling around at the weekend.

DTS: (wherever you are) Did you enjoy your road trip thingy?

I have a day off today. Once more, a 'day off'. In the second week, and every Tuesday for the rest of the year. Wow...(actually, they call it a study day, but really it's just a day off =D)

Good Morning, satch!-satchling.Not to much going on here. What a morning .Well so far I had dad,s oatmeal raisin cookies dipped in my coffee,s for breakfast thenI was sitting on the couch and I thought yeah I am going to workout today!.Then in my head It said to me come on weider dont let me down>They realy do take punishment and get used large.I need my power soon it will be winetr I will be hauling home grocery,s carrying them through snow!. About a week or 2 ago it wanted to go tolo a 30 pound dumbell curl from 20 pound,s she was ready to incline to 30 then cunilousI figured out I needed more weight on my body to avoid screwing myselkf up with a 30 pound curl then I also said I am out ,of weights again all I have leftover from 2 sets is 2 10 lb,s an 2 15 lbs I need 4 fiftteen pound,s for my alternate dumbell curls.I hate taken weight,s off from another part of my workout and useing them for a different part ,but their,s no way my Mom would let me buy another set of weight,s heck that would make 3 ste,s of weight s in use with lot,s extra leftover .So this time now that my body is right weight when I start cramking 30 for my arm,s again I will be taken the 2 15pounds from my leg curl and using them back and forth for my alternate dumbell curl!Still have a touch of this stomach flu though man think i cintracted it at the gorcery store and yeah were normal!not crazy! anyhow more coffee less the cookie,s wolf2.

Tim Horton hears a Who.

Skippygirl, I think Joe gets better looking and in better shape with every passing year. Buns of steel may not ship UPS, but he's got a fountain of youth somewhere! lol! Guess his fountain of youth is his family, his guitar, and his fans. I wanna be like Joe when I grow up. lol!

Here's Joe a few years later with his hair a bit longer. I love that version of I Believe. It makes me smile :-)

Then you have about 25+ years pass, and the man is still on fiiiiii-yaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! lol! That goes for Jeff too - better with age! HELLO!! lol!

Railton, you're talking about premature evacuation. lol! It might have happened to Joe way back in his early days when he used curly cords, but just about every good guitar & bass player knows to wrap the cord around the strap before you plug in it. Playing in yer bedroom is one thing, but on stage, it's a must!

I'm back...but I'm tired (still...ugh). I'll post about the two gigs a bit later... And sorry for this huge post, but I'm all caught up now.

Joe Satrini - OK, I found the email. The sender shows up as "Orange Mobil Webmail," maybe that's why it went into my spam. I'll read through it later and get back to you. Thanks for sending it...
Tuesdayschild - Hmmm...I'm a big Aerosmith fan so I'd suggest Twister cover one of their songs. But I think they should go for something that isn't one of their big singles. I've only heard them do one song (Song For A Friend), but based off that sound I'd say something like Round And Round from Aerosmith's Toys In The Attic might sound cool. It's a bit obscure, but hey...
REVAN 2008 - I don't have ZZ Top's Afterburner or Eliminator, but after listening to Greatest Hits I'll probably end up buying them. A quick aside, going back to the mastering conversation on T2J a few weeks ago...I absolutely LOVE how Greatest Hits sounds. It's definitely one of the better compilation albums I've heard...it doesn't sound like they screwed with the levels at all (then again, this was released in the early 90s, before all that started happening).

I'll get back to you after I buy more. ;-)

And I'm on Facebook...look me up.

hybes - Congrats on finally getting a JS1000! Can you post some pictures?

About whammy tricks...well, you know how to play harmonics on a guitar, right? Any of the ones you play with your left hand over the neck can be played over the body (the same distance away from the bridge as the other ones are away from the nut), obviously. So mess around with the bar and some harmonics and see if you come up with anything cool. If you're confused I can explain some things more specifically, but it might be cooler for you to stumble across things on your own...

kellerosity - Hi...welcome to the site! Who are some of your favorite bassists?
wolf2 - I'm not really aware of skateboarding being huge here in Long Beach. What street did you say, again?
Igneousiceman - I didn't catch the Subdivisions/Coundown connection, but now that you mention it...YES! Hehehe...
elpp - Yeah I think that was the first time wolf2 mentioned one of us. Makes me wonder...have any of us ever tried to REALLY talk to him?
michelle - What song did she do with ZZ Top? Legs? ;-)
windrunner - Warfield tickets have been on sale for a while now. I don't remember when I bought them, but August 3 sounds right. If you can't find them now, maybe the show sold out?
Sheerluck - The Club Joe meet and greets seem to be a bit different each tour. Generally, any stage tours or Q&As that are a part of the deal happen before the show, and a meet and greet happens after the show. I don't know what the packages include this time around, but if some of it happens before the show they'll probably want you there by 4 or 4:30 (assuming the show starts at about 7).

Roo - no worries, but I'd have shown you mine LOL (in fact, so you know I'm not full of sh** you can see it here. Do you play all your LTD's?

Hybes - I only have an older JS to compare against, but it came set up pretty well. They should all be based around D'addario 9's (same as Joe), here's some (EXL120's). Setting the trem just so can be a pain in the bum, but it's reasonably straight forward (balancing act between the string tension and the springs in the back cavity). There should be some notes in the case - but if you want to get really detailed look at jemsite.com or ibanezrules.com - or take it to the shop if you're worried. You'll need to buy some spare collars to keep the trem arm in place as after some use it'll start to spin to the down position all the time. Let me know if there's anything else, I'll help if I can

Igneousiceman - because I used to race I have a v good friend in the motorsport press. I get some really cool info from there. You are spot on, what they did is crap! It's well known that Max Mosley despises Ron Dennis. Seeing as it was his car that won, I expect the back office conversation went something like "dear steward, if you want to be able to pay your mortgage, here's the outcome of your investigation".... drives me nuts, as they've been Ferrari biased for years, or anti-mclaren if you want to look at it that way. I've seen Shuey do stuff like that and no penalty. What about the advantage gained by raikonnen when going off track at Pouhon? Grrrr... hopefully it'll all come right in the end. P.S Armstrong in 2009? That would be cool....

Zincmaster - thanks for that post about Armstrong. That would be seriously good viewing, but I can't see it happening. Would be happy to be proved wrong. Cool!

Michelle - cool vid. Is that from the 3 I posted a while back (where Joe had to hum Ice Nine to Mr Mover)? There must be a tonne of great old footage like that around. Wish it was for sale somewhere. I think his coolest (long) hair moment was around the extremist. But the current version is Uber cool. My pop is always amazed how fresh Joe is after bouncing around on stage for hours... and he doesn't age!?

Do The Stu - I hate it when it does that (the email display name). It's an Orange bug I'm sure! The address under it should still be recgoniseable though LOL

G'nite all
