Cappy.....Yeah, I was talkin' to Joe the other day. All three us are gonna fly out to see you before Joe's Royal Oak show in Michigan. I can't wait, it's gonna be great. Shit.... I just woke up.....Damn....

Out Of The Set List......Is that you DoTheStu?....lol.... Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, we recorded 8 good bar songs and I've mixed 5 of them. They are: I Know a Little, Evil Ways, Jailbreak, Riding The Storm Out, Tight Rope, Stone Cold Hearted(Bonamassa), High Off The Hog (Tommy Castro) Rock This Town. I'm hoping tonight the guys will agree to upload I know a Little and Jailbreak to our myspace site. I like this band a lot. Best group of musicians I ever played with. What makes this band work is : Communication. We can be up front and tell each other things that aren't right without the ego getting in the way. That's huge for any band. There's know F..ck You man, Don't tell me how to play drums and I wont tell you how to play guitar CRAP. Thank the Lord....how many times has this occurred.... too many to mention. Plus we put it all in perspective: They're cover songs. We play 4 tp 6 originals mixed in with them and it's different and we like it that way. Thanks.....

Edit.........Go Bears !!!!!!

OMG....Joe you are a freakin crazy guitarist. I sa you concert in Winnipeg last night, and you rocked it out hardcore. I have never ever heard anything quite like it. the way you play, you're just so into it.....like you're making love to the sound. My fiance is a huge fan of yours....HUGE HUGE HUGE. He will be talkin about last night FOREVER. We wanted to get tix to meet you backstage but they were sold out, and I have a connection at the Burton Cummings Theatre but he wasn't around. WOW...my ears are still ringing! Mountain and yourself, and the other boys too did such an amazing job. I wanted to jump on stage and just start dancin. The cool thing is though my fiance Jason and I were sitting in a loge and I'm 100 % sure you have us on your video that you made right before you left the stage. YAY I'm on your video...lol I was one of the few women there that night. Your music is absolutly orgasmic. Jason is a guitar player himself and he looks up to you a great deal... Quick Question, what do we need to do to get you to play at our wedding social ant one of our nightclubs here in winnipeg. It would be a huge honour. All your biggest fans live in Transcona.... I just want to hear you play all the time.... You Rock MY MUsical World.....

A big what's up to all the worlds Satchlings.

Anyone I'm cool with hope you have all been well...actually, hope you have all been well, even if I dont know you.

I have a cap that I wore to the last Satch concert in '04 , a blue gray and white rasta one... I think that's going to be the official Satch concert hat for as long as it holds up. So anyone going to the Chicago concert later that want's to say hey, I'll be in that over some shoulder length dreads. I'm hard to miss but pretty friendly.

See you all there.

I'm psyched about Time Machine, my absolute fav by Joe.

Keniko - Yes, this is Do The Stu...this name change is only temporary (I want to hear Out Of The Sunrise live).

That's a nice selection of covers you've recorded. I look forward to hearing Jailbreak, but I'd also really like to hear Ridin' The Storm Out. I don't know much REO Speedwagon, but that song is one of my favorites by them.

Emma C - You have some cool ideas there. I really like your song Santa Rosa. It starts out like Satch's Ten Words or Revelation, but it goes to a totally different place...it's really warped (in a good way).

Thanks for sharing.

achoo - Have an awesome time at the gig! Time Machine is one of my favorites too...I'm glad it's in the set this time around.

Hi all back from Thailand, what a great place it is.

I wandered into one of the flash shopping centres in Bangkok and there was a gleaming, shiny guitar shop of amazing looking guitars but they all seemed to be "Washburn" and I didn't see any Ibanez - thought I might see my first JS but alas.

There are something like 900 posts since I've been away so tell me someone, how have the concerts been???? Have they been amazing??? I haven't had time to check You Tube either so any great links to vids from the recent shows?

Pleezzz, pleez someone.

Good morning Satchland.... I'm in the hotel lobby in Minneapolis using the free internet thing.. Anyways..

What a show ! When Leslie West & Corky Laing walked out I thought they were going to need cortizone shots and some ben-gay...but those guys seriously kicked ass. Corky played the snot out of those drums and Leslie can still sing like a champ. The best song for them I thought was "Blowin' in the Wind" ...outstanding job.

Here is Joe's setlist for the night..in order. I Just Wanna Rock....Overdriver....Satch Boogie....Ice 9....Flying in a Blue Dream....Ghosts....Revelation....Super Colossal....One Big Rush....Cool #9....Time Machine (with a great spacey intro)....Stu's Bass Solo....Andalusia....Always....Surfing With the Alien.....Summer Song

Leslie came out at the end and they all played Stormy Monday & Down, Down, Down....

I have more to tell but it'll have to be later tonight....

If anyone going to the Chicago concert neeeds to purchase an extra ticket, I have an extra one available. My companion backed out at the last minute. Tick is on the main floor, section K, seat 316. I think that's decent positioning.

My previous post describes what I will look like if anyone is interested.

Joe, tear it up tonight, been waiting to hear Time Machine and Down. Down, Down since forever; I can't wait !!!

DTS, I will enjoy myself; I always do at these functions.

Peace

Good Morning Satchland.......How U B ?

Joe tonight at the Chicago Theater......Man, I can't wait to see this show and Leslie West opening. This is gonna Rock.

Cool Leslie/Eric Johnson Story. I was playing The Eyes To The Sky Festival in Lisle,IL. a couple of years ago. John Kay and Steppinwolf, and Leslie West and Corky Lang had top bill on the main stage. We were playing a different stage but got to hang with the big guns cuz' we were playing also. After the show and before we went on we were hanging with Leslie and Corky. Well, Leslie has bad emphysema and he asked me to go to his trailer and ask his assistant to bring his golf cart to the autograph table. So I'm on my way to his trailer and my jaw dropped.... There's Eric Johnson and his band hanging out as they were playing the next night. Anyway, I tell Leslie's assistant to bring the golf cart to him and Cindy and I went back to talk with Eric for like the next 11/2. This guy is one of the most kindest person you'd ever want to meet and definitely in Joe's league. Eric taps me on the shoulder and says" Excuse me I have to go talk to these people for a sec. A few minutes later Eric comes back to us and says" I apologize for steppin' away but I had to talk with them about something. Now where were we before I left" WHAT? Eric Johnson apologizing to us? No problem. It was one the coolest experiences I'd ever had. He so genuine. Like Joe fame has no effect on him as a person.

Guitarman77897......We're center balcony also. I'll be the guy with a huge mustache and with a beautiful Redhead.....lol

DoTheStu..... Thanks for you're support.Much appreciated. I'll email you Riding The Storm out if it doesn't make the cut for myspce(I'm thinking it will). I know a Little is my fav. It's my tribute to Steve Gaines and all of Skynyrd here and gone. God Bless that band. I don't know of any other band that has endured the hardships they've had and they keep going. A true testement to their music.

Kayla...... I'll try to see Joe after the show. Stay by your cell. You'll never know who's gonna call...wink....wink. Hugs to ya.

Have A Great Day Everyone !!!!!

Edit......Guitarman. Click Here for our mug shots. Look for us. Hope to see you there.

keniko: I really like Trower's stuff, he has a signature pedal out, the Fulltone Trower overdrive. Should sound very nice. Great to hear other people appreciate Lizzy's stuff. Good mix you've got there, Trower Bonamassa and some Lizzy stuff; ever thought of covering Emerald? That would be a great one to do...Thanks for the info =D

ZuperDave - Thanks for sharing the setlist. It looks a little bit shorter than the rest of the world, and I'm bummed Cryin' is missing, but other than that it looks pretty solid.

You mention Down, Down, Down at the end...I assume you actually mean Going Down, the Jeff Beck song from the first G3 album? I think someone else mentioned that one in a review...

"More to tell"...did you get to meet Satch?
