So someone help me out here. this is the only chat room or forum that I have ever been on. I'm confused on why someone would think it's a big joke to have just one thread to this site. What's the benefit of having more than one thread? This one has always seemed to work just fine to me.

Hey Joe, I'm wondering if your world tour will be coming to Japan? I'd love to see you live if it's possible. Anyways, great album. I just want you to know how inspiring it is to hear such good music in such dark times. Keep on rockin'!

I'm among the most that have never been lucky enough to see Zep, sniff
So Floyd and Zep are my helpless impossible dreams
But I prefer not seing Zep if Plant can't almost sing their classic hits. I think I would end up feeling sad for the incomplete exercise of nostalgia.
I'm anxiously expecting what Chickenfoot comes up with, instead.

New music Tuesday is my favorite day of the week...woohoo! I picked up Dream Theater's Chaos In Motion 2 DVD/3 CD set, along with U2's remastered Under A Blood Red Sky on CD and DVD.
I watched the tour documentary part of the DT package...it's everything you'd expect from the band. I haven't had a chance to check out the U2 thing yet, but if the remasters they released earlier this year are any indication I'm sure I'm in for a treat.
Did anyone else here pick up either of these?
On to Robert Plant...another thing that bugs me is that he always wants to talk about moving on and doing new things, but he always plays a few LZ songs during his solo shows. So after what he's said here, he should never ever play another Led Zeppelin song in concert. But I doubt he'll stick to that, and that sucks. I've always wanted to see him in concert, even if it's just a solo thing (I'm actually a pretty big fan of his solo career), but after this comment I don't think I'll bother. It's unfortunate...
Has anyone here heard a bootleg of the Led Zeppelin reunion gig from last year? I have a few audio copies and then a really cool DVD...Plant really did do an excellent job.
wolf2 - What's your favorite song on Is There Love In Space?
hybes - You've seen Page and Plant, right? Was that on the Walking Into Clarksdale tour?
I saw Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes (the show that was recorded for this live album) in 1999. I've never seen John Paul Jones, but I'd love to some day...and it'd be awesome if Jason Bonham was in the mix too.
Regarding internet forums, check out Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy's (http://www.mikeportnoy.com/forum/). It's divided into a bunch of different categories, and each individual topic has its own thread. The forum keeps track of which posts you have and haven't read.
It's nice because you can ask more spontaneous yes/no questions and do other short things that are harder to keep track of here. And you can put all the political stuff in its own section so if it's not your thing you don't have to read it (same with musician/gear talk, sports talk, etc.).
But I like how T2J is because, by forcing everyone to read everything, the site never gets too busy and you occasionally get unexpected replies from people that you wouldn't get in a more structured forum.
Blue_Moon - Very cool photos...thanks for sharing them. I like the ITLIS?-esque one at the end. ;-)
Listening to: Rush - Presto (current song: Scars)

Greetings all!
This RL stuff is getting in the way of my being able to consistently check in and post here in Satchland.
Wanted to see if any other Richmonders will be at the Oct 24th show here... cause...
I just got my CLUB JOE ticket from ups.... YEAH!
But I have a few minor points for you Joe...
1) I know booking places for gigs can be a pain for the managers, but I would be willing to pay a little extra to go to a venue that I where a bullet-proof vest isn't needed...lol.
2) The local ads for the National here said that is was your first time in Richmond.... NOT TRUE... I saw you here back in 1990 at the Mosque... now called the Landmark Theatre. Missed meeting you by 15mins back then cause I was on the wrong side of the building afterwards. I got to meet the opening act... Stevie Salas though.
Look forward to being able to meet you again... I met you for the first time back on April 4 at the GC clinic... 30secs after 21 years just doesn't cut it.... LOL...
Thanks for all you do for us fans... I know it takes a lot of time that you could use for other things on the road... like SLEEPING....lol..
Maybe I could play the first part on Stu's 'Country Music' for you on guitar... still working on how to make the rest playable for my guitar skills...lol... still working on my 2 handed skills.... I can play 'Terminal Beach' all the way through.... Stanley Jordan is a fave of mine too...
A question for that show... If I wanted to bring my guitar for you to sign, how could I do that at this type of event? I think this would be a little different then at the GC clinics...
I work out some sort of dress code so you will know who I am....
I can see it now.... I will walk up to shake your hand.... and hear.... "Security!".... lol...
It will be good to be able to talk to you again...
Looking forward to meeting you again...

I'm eagerly awaiting Dream Theatre too, and I had the Trivium on preorder as they're playing soon about 35 miles away from me in a really small venue called the Nerve Centre..it's like, ok I'm not a big fan but I can't not go!! Anyone with me here!
Nice pics Al pic pic pic pic pic...
Edit: I've discovered today that if I put on PSATMOR fairly low in the background my 11 year old son actually sits and does his homework! It probably wouldnt' work as well if it wasn't instrumental music I was playing, or if I played it too loud. But anyway, here's a question for you all
If you want to knuckle down to work, or revision, or whatever, what do you like to have playing in the background?

Do the Stu - I actaully saw Plant and Page twice. I saw them on their No Quarter Unledded tour and then I saw them on the Walking into Clarksdale tour. They were very impressive both shows. Although I think the No Quarter tour they were a little stronger. Could be because it was their first time back together in so many years. I really think Michael Lee was a great add on drums. But all said, it's still not close enough to Zep. Adding John Paul Jones heavy bass lines and little Bonham would make it close enough! If indeed Plant can't get the notes he needs every night then he really should just say so. The man is in his 60's and he smokes. It's not like his pipes will hold up forever. It's nothing to be ashamed of. I don't like it that he acts like Simon Cowal everytime someone asks him about getting back together. It's just not cool.
I have not heard any bootleg stuff from last year. How great is it? I have seen a couple not so great vids on Youtube. That's about it.
Tuesdayschild - I really like listening to instrumental music when I'm working or needing to be focused on something. When I listen to music with lyrics sometimes I find myself stopping what I'm doing and singing along with the song. Too much distraction. Every once in a great while I'll put on a news radio station. That constant murmur in the background helps keep me focused too.
