godisasniper - Sounds like a very bad day. Having been a Sox fan all my life, I have to say the the Sox are done. They just don't have the talent to stay on the field with the Rays and they are proving it. I won't be a bit surprised to see Big Papi gone next year. There are 3 guys hitting for the Sox right now and that might be the way it stays. We sent our best to the mound today and he got shelled at the home park. I personally had to turn the game off. I do hope Boston manages 1 game at home. I don't want to have to watch the Rays celebrate on Boston turf.
I sure hope no one starts some "Curse of Manny" crap though!! Cna't take more of that!!

I have to say it is so nice to read the rush of posts of people going to Joe's shows or just coming back and giving some insight into their reactions - I so wish I could be in the States and go to another gig.
Keep the posts coming, especially all the new people, I'd like to hear your stories and thoughts on Joe's shows.

...very funny indeed... palin's comment on foreign policy and biden's comment on FDR speaking to the country on TV are by far the dumbest statements of the year... tara reid and paris hilton need to come up with some shit, like now... lol...
I have been very busy... M.I. is getting harder by the minute, I had to switch to part time at work to keep up with the assignments... not so much time to post on t2joe either...

Hello Joe and everyone else who posts here. I've been an avid fan since I discovered the brilliance around the time of the "Is There Love In Space?" release, although I haven't stopped by here before.
I'm mostly just wondering if Joe actually took part in recording the 5th song, "Screaming Head" on this Guitar Greats album:

Thanks for the info and all the amazing music!!

godisasniper - Wow!! As much as I want the Sox to win because I am a HUGE fan, I want them to win more now. That would be incredible if you got to go to a Series game with the Bosox in it. I have probably been to well over 100 games at Fenway Park, but have never even had the opportunity to sniff a world series ticket. I would be quiet envious my friend.
tikimon - Much as it pains me...you have to root for your team. And I give it up to you guys this year....there is talent from top to bottom on that team. Today they proved it...you don't often go into Boston in the post season and lay a spanking on them. And against our best pitcher this year.

Right now I'm majoring in religious studies. It's weird cause I go to a liberal arts college so I get it from a completely skeptical viewpoint. As a believer it can be irritating but it has actually sparked a passion on me for studying and learning the scriptures more and actually strengthened my faith. So it's working out positively for me. School is freaking busy (mid terms this week) but it's going well. Satch's music helps me study for sure!

5 days late ! i know ! but i just got my internet installed :)
here's my review to Satriani's Detroit gig...
WOW ! What CAN I SAY ! Im not even finding the words to express what i saw 4 days ago ! A Dream Came True to me,finally after over 5 years of being a hardcore and loyal fan to the Master....my Guitar Idol/Hero....Joe Satriani...i had the chance to stand right infront of him and watch his amazing, beautiful preformance Live. it was a dream to me to see him just months ago, coz just got immigrated to the States (Detroit-MI) 2 months ago from Baghdad-Iraq. that night was by far the best....the theater, the audience, the stage, the music...everything. I arrived @ abt 8:25 pm, and Mountain was already there preforming their songs and they surley rocked the stage till 8:45 pm where the crew started to set the stage for the Maestro to hit the stage @ around 9:05....kicking it off with (I Just Wanna Rock)....i was amazed by the stage production and the beautiful lighting....(Compared to what i saw on his solo/G3 dvd's). I was on the left side of the stage-audience prespective- right infront Satriani's main pedal board.his whole band were on Fire....Stu kept going from side to side, interacting with the audience, throwing picks-luckily i got one near the end of the show :)-. and reflecting the light to bling the audience not to mention the monitor engineer ! Galen was doing his job @ his best, also interacting with audience, keeping everyone smiling :) Jeff...he's one of my fav.drummers, and he's out there proving it everynight on every single second of the show...beautiful beats, keeping the band tight... now comes Satriani.....the beautiful soul,i really dont know after all these years and the thousands years how he can keep it that spiritual, and playing these songs everynight just as he 1st composed them.he's my fav.Guitarist coz he plays with feelings, and never lost it...not a single note. i enjoyed and smiled every single moment of that night...and every single note from the setlist....
they played.. 1-I Just Wanna Rock 2-Overdriver 3-Satch Boogie 4-Ice 9 5-Flying in a blue Dream 6-Ghosts 7-Revelation 8-Super Colossal 9-One Big Rush 10-Cool #9 11-Intro Solo+Time Machine+Followed by the Bass Solo by Stu Hamm 12-Andalusia 13-Always With Me,Always With You 14-Surfing With The Alien Encore: 15-Crowd Chant 16-Summer Song 17-Going Down -as G2- Feat.Leslie West on Guitar :)

Hi MEDD,
That Screaming Head certainly sounds like Joe I guess - he is credited with it at the site.........thanks for letting us know. I love the way people contribute bits and pieces and you can go off researching another aspect of Joe, or more material you never knew about, etc.
Demonic Shredder (great moniker) that is the sort of post I love to read. Glad you had such a great time and thanks for the setlist.
I gather from your nickname that you play?

JSPhil: Sad isn't it really...why can't people just accept that Lewis is the best thing since carbon fibre? As for the FIA, it's only a matter of time before they get themselves into a spot of bother I reckon. Part3 of that guitar thing should be good, at least there were some Hendrix clips last night! I get a bit bored hearing about Hawaiian guitar to be honest. =D
JS_JS: I find listening to Satch stuff on the way to or from College (high school for you I think) really helps, great for working to as well.
Ooh, broken the 200 post mark...

Satrini: The JSBDG body is protected, but the sharpie scribbles on the pickup cavity plates, the switches, knobs , whammy and fine-tuners are all not protected and will simply rub off if touched too many times or too hard.
I have a couple of replacement pickup cavity plates to replace them, I play with a spare whammy bar. I just have to be careful I don't carelessly fiddle with tuners switches and knobs while playing. It came from the factory with an ok setup, but I ended up having to fix intonation and lower the action. It probably needs a real tune up, but I'm not doing the frets and everything.
Nice idea about sound bytes from each guitar. But like you said, the megasite has taken a LOT of time to set up. I used a good content management system, so it's not too hard to maintain. But still have a fair bit of initial data to enter yet.
I don't think Joe has recorded anything on the JS2KPLT. I'm not sure why, if he hasn't. It is a really full sound. Joe? have you used the 2KPLT on any recordings?

hybes and godisasniper. just having some fun with the baseball thing. wow i didn't expect the rays to rack up that kind of a score. i think that is the most runs allowed by boston in a playoff game at home. going to get interesting i bet. you guys need to come down for the final games. great weather in tampa/st. petersburg now. beachs are empty and the tiki drinks are cold.
6 days till i get my js1200, 15 days till the 1st of 2 joe shows.

OK, here's another cool idea.
We are all STOKED on chickenfoot right?
Well, I think the die-hard fans of Joe, Sammy, et al, should be offered a special Chicken-club membership. So we form a core group of die-hard new fans for chickenfoot support around the globe.
So when they are playing the stadium gigs Sammy said they are designed for. We get reduced rate tickets for VIP seating, aftershow passes, signed band memorabilia, etc.
Well, I think it's a great idea! I want membership #1 please, here's my $100.... KaCHING.
