Hey Joe,

I think its time that you receive this fan mail, and to all the other fans out there, I want you to understand how I feel, and I'm not holding anything back, just open the floodgates and let it rip. I am a distinguished veteran of the United States Air Force, and a friend of mine turned me on to your music way back in '86. We were both assigned rooms in a dormitory out in the nothingness of the Arizona Desert, 65 miles south of civilization. He had these HUGE KLIPSHE(?) speakers, and when I heard those first early notes of your brand of music, well its safe to say that I fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. I have been mesmerized by this strange and beautiful music ever since. My task with the Air Force was to handle Jet Fighters, and while you were starting your career, I was sending Fighters to the sky! I had your back! From then on, I just could not get enough of your music, I played it CONSTANTLY, and even today, every bar, every note is written in my heart. I never get tired of you, its just PLAY PLAY PLAY! The bells of LAL just knocked my sox off, I was flying in a blue dream and barking at the moon and looking for ALIENS as your music reverberated through the Arizona night. Playing the newest (Andalusia), Made of tears, Love in space, and I feel like the top of my head is going to come off, JUST INCREDIBLE. Its like a BOLT of PURE JOY every time I hear you! How you EVER became so GIFTED is a mystery to me. The only thing I can figure out is that it must have something to do with mathematics. Joe you ARE the Grand master of all time, and incredibly talented, (NOUN): phenomenal: Incredible, fantastic, frickin sweet, and I HOPE YOUR RICH because NOBODY deserves it more than you!! It is my reverent hope that I can come and see you in concert when you roll into Baltimore and Washington. That is my life's dream, my one desire. Thanks Joe, for all the decades of music, and for all the memories. I stand in AWE of YOU!

4 years after disbanding, Phish to reunite

MONTPELIER, Vt. - Phish is getting back together.

The Vermont-bred jam band, which disbanded in 2004, is planning three dates next March in Hampton, Virginia. A notice posted on the band's Web site says Phish will play March 6, March 7 and March 8, 2009, at the Hampton Coliseum. The Web site says more 2009 dates will be announced later.

A spokesman for the Coliseum, who wouldn't give his name, confirmed the booking.

Phish was among the nation's top touring acts when it called it quits in 2004. The band received a lifetime achievement award at the Jammy Awards last May.

Day off. Watching SATRIANI LIVE.

I can't look at the screen without smiling :-)

I love dat guy! lol!

Yesterday my niece had her baby. He's a biggin' at 8 lbs, 12 oz! Ripe for the pickin'. lol! Thankfully she changed his middle name. Now it's not George Michael. lol! He's still George, and he's a boy, so that makes him Boy George. lol! That poor lil' guy. lmao!! He's cursed to have an auntie with an over-active musical cartoon brain. lol!

Bad thing is, I have a bitchin' cold, so if the nurses won't give me a face mask, I won't go in the room to see him. I'm bummed and can't hold him and love him up. Oh well, my camera has a zoom. I'll just have to take pics from the door. lol!

Ohhhh, Cool #9 - MY FAV!!!!

JOE - YOU ROCK!!

edit: Slan, John is such a good boy. Must take after his mum. lmao! I expect to see vids like this in a year or two.

JAYZUS! I can't even think when Cool #9 is on. It's the best tune ever!! Every band member kicks it's ass! lol! I feckin love it! lol!

Just a quick question for Joe

Is the song Tears in the Rain inspired from the speech near the end of the movie Blade Runner?

Keep playing! Thank you for all the great music!

Matt: I love The Crusade, it's a lot better than their other stuff, no weird shouty/roary singing like on Ascendancy or the new one. I have ordered GOOMY and await it patiently. =D
TuesdaysChild: I found that throughout my GCSE revision listening to stuff helped quite a bit, and instrumental stuff's good as there aren't any vocals to be distracted by or 'listen' to. It was also good to have a song in my head going into the exam.

castle49 - Unledded and No Quarter were the same tour, weren't they? That was the first one, and Walking Into Clarksdale was the second tour (I think the tour was called Walking Into Everywhere). I have a few P&P bootlegs from both tours, I think...

Irvine Meadows is a great venue...it's one of my favorite outdoor amphitheaters.

Do The Stu - I've had a scout around regarding youtube autoplay and seems it's quite a topic, but no official way of doing it. However, you could try this amongst other options

Tubestop

Igneousiceman - on the PG front, how about some samples

GOOMY

Goomy, Hurry up, Curse of Castle Dragon

Geeze, it's quiet here today...what happened?

Joe Satrini - Thanks for the Tubestop link. It makes perfect sense that there'd be a Firefox extension for it...I don't know why I didn't think of that. This is excellent...thanks.

Of course the ideal fix would be one that doesn't autoplay but does load the entire video. I guess that's asking for too much, though. ;-)

ZuperDave - Awesome...it'd be great if you can write down a setlist for us. I'd also love to hear a review from you, if you can piece one together after the show... I hope you have a great time...
Listening to: Yes - Close To The Edge (current song: Close To The Edge)

I first started getting into Yes about 10 years ago, and back then I thought CTTE was such a long song. But it's funny, I looked at it just now and my first thought was "Oh, it's only 18 minutes."

"Only"...haha. I guess that means I listen to a lot of Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Dave Matthews Band, and Rush. ;-)

Together with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, the guys have almost completed an album's worth of material, which they're thinking of releasing under the name Chickenfoot.

"It's so different when I become one of four guys and there's a singer as outrageous as Sammy Hagar standing in front," he says. "It's a completely different musical dynamic. It's not even an experiment. It's an all-encompassing musical experience."

Hey Joe, Love your music man, thanks for the years of enjoyment (I've been listening since 1990). Just signed up because I recently came across a young talented guy by the name of Ronald Jenkees and I thought that some of his music would blend nicely with yours. He's very talented and obviously has a great love for music. Just thought you might want to check him out, whether on YouTube or Google. Who knows might be interesting. Anyway, again thanks a million for all the music you have gifted us with. Keep 'er coming man! Peace.

Hell.o,

As most of the people here I am one of the fans. I don't think there's any point in saying how big or small fan I am but instead I have a proposal. I am writing this here that maybe by some miracle someone somehow remotely close to Joe will read this and tell him the idea :).

Let's imagine for instance how bigger than life itself would feel a Satriani fan if for instance he would be chosen to be his personal disciple. I am talking about the idea that in all his greateness Joe Satriani would pick someone (for example me :) ) and would take up a chanlange to make out of that person a virtuoso guitar player in let's say a year or maybe 5 years, this can be discussed after. Off-course if the master (Joe) would wish could make out of it a live tv-show with the progress of the pupil , the rewards and punishments for good or bad practice or playing, etc. The idea can be developed further....

Anyway, I think that basic idea is that I would really like to shake the hand that plays like that.....ultimatelly meeting Joe. To be his student .....I have to lay my eyes back to the ground of which I arised and *sigh* return to reality and realize that it's not gonna happent, but at least that is a very sweet dream which I have sometime with eyes wide open.

Tha, tha.

..Hey you know how some people have big arm,s little bump of what they think is muscle? It,s called ectlin that,s basic ectlin leaves you defensless and your actaully very week when you do that you see to make ectlin you just grab your handheld dumbell concentrate on that arm at small then larger weight,s but it,s ectlin because your brain is not function properly it,s not teeling the muscle what to do their movement that is easy and for the very weak I spit them out the exaust.I use a curl bar even better then a specific curl bar,I usea brabell it,s at 60 pound,s plus the bar it,s pumping it 30 time,s in a row now I have to increase that today for tommorow,s workout the next increment in my made in canada weider set is 80 pound,s plus the bar and I will be pumping it probably between 14 and 20 time,s in prison their,s alot of ectlin the actual barbell curl bar is set standard at 40 pound,s I am pumping double what the prison setting is.I do 20 pound,s alternat arm curl dumbeel cast Iron as wellit was 30 pound,s with weider until I brought in the curl bar you cant realy dumbell curl when using the curl bar I do alternat tehir more, how you say sophisticated harder more complex a 20 pound alternate arm curl is equivlent to about 63 pound,s straight curl one ar at a time, plus their cast Iron real deadly real finness to operate correctly for proper stuff I like doing thealternate dumbell curl with my barbell curl because it feel, squite nice but the more I barbell curl the more it will want to end the dumbell curl that,s one reason why I do standing alternate it seem, sto keep nutrtion deriving into the muscle from the curl bar have you ever seen my arm,s their wolf2 classic their my barbell arm,s not ectlin they look sexy and can waste anything anyways more coffee later wolf2.
