Out Of The Setlist - Yes, this will be my first time seeing him. I am a relative newcomer to his music (though I have been peripherally aware of Joe for many years). My husband has been into him for a while, and he introduced our son to his music about a year or so ago...and my son became an instant fan.

I am mostly into rock music. I am in my 40s, so I am a product of the 70s and 80s rock scene basically. I have seen everyone from Led Zeppelin, to The Stones, The Who, Queen, Peter Frampton, David Bowie...AC/DC, Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Prince, Guns & Roses...to hair metal bands, punk bands, blues and jazz artists, from big arenas to small clubs, and everything in between.

The only thing that I really won't listen to is country music!

MEDD - Hi...welcome to the site! What's your favorite song on Is There Love In Space? That's my favorite Satch album.

And yes, Joe does play guitar on that track you mentioned. I'd need to look at the liner notes of that album again (the Jordan Rudess solo album) to be sure, but I think he only actually plays one of the solos in the song as opposed to guitar throughout the entire thing.

If you want my opinion, I'd stay away from that particular compilation album. Magna Carta is notorious for quickly throwing together things like that, and I think it's kinda lame. If you want to hear Joe's track, buy the actual album it originally appeared on (Jordan Rudess - Rhythm of Time).

JS_JS - It's good to hear school is going well.

So what do you think of Joe's new album? What are your favorite songs on it?

Demonic Shredder - Thanks for sharing your review of the show, and welcome to the site!

Did you live in Iraq your whole life up until a few months ago? How'd you come across Joe's music, if I can ask?

roo - Sammy Hagar has a ton of die-hard fans, so when Chickenfoot tours I imagine the best tickets will be VERY hard to come by. For his solo shows, Sammy sells VIP tickets that include a seat on the stage (it's hard to explain, but he sets up his stage to look kinda like a bar on the beach) for something like $300 or $350. I don't think Chickenfoot things would go for that much, but I'd expect it to be close.
bubbles - Hi...it's nice to see you around here again. What've you been up to lately?
shinzo - Ah, cool. I'm way into prog rock now, but when I first started getting into music about 15 years ago it was classic rock that got me hooked. Aerosmith was my first favorite band (although they aren't so much anymore), and then my other favorites are pretty similar to the list you just posted.
Listening to: Explosions In The Sky - The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place (current song: Memorial)

Good Afternoon Satchland...... How Is Everyone ?

It's our anniversary today......29yrs......no not a typo.....29yrs. I can't believe it myself. I'm lovin' life and all is well. You guys and gals have ben' GREAT over the years and I wish I would have met everyone........29yrs. ago. But the last 5yrs. I'll take with ya any day.

Speaking of any day...... Promised you demo songs soon. 6 of the 8 are done and I'll be uploading I Know A Little and Jailbreak soon. I'm still mixing Joe Bonamassa's Stone Cold Hearted and Tommy Castro's High Off The Hog. All should be completed in about 2 weeks tops. We play a benefit last Sat. and got three encores. The peeps did not want us to leave. This is a first for me. We're playing another benefit this Sat. Gayle Sayers from the Bears may show up. That would be cool. I loved him when I was a kid and he was one my first heroes.

Joe's Show..... Joe dosen't stop and will not stop amazing me. Musterion was not on the set list and was a little bummed but it was another GREAT night with Joe and Co. It was really good to see Stu and to Stuuuuuuu him again. Leslie West was awesome and loved his version of Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind" Man his vocals are so strong and he's singing like a kid. It was awesome. Leslie paid tribute to his pal Felix Pepilardi(couldn't spell his last name if I just won a spelling B).... You guys know who I mean. All in All it was a great show. We wanted to stay to see Joe outside but had to leave. Sorry Kayla will try next time for sure.

Have A Great Day Everyone !!!!!! 29 yrs.....Man, Whew !!!!!

Edit..... About the Show..... Joe, Stu and Galen had these really long guitar cables and you know the way Joe and Stu move around. Well at the end of the night Stu walked away from Joe as Joe was steppin' back and step on Stu's cable and tore Stu's bass right off him. Stu cought the bass before it hit the ground. The look on Stu's face was shocking cuz' he didn't know what happened but once he did Joe and Stu just sorta laughed it off.

JS1200......Yeah, Joe's the best. First time at the Chicago Theater. Man, what a beautiful place....Joe even mention how nice it was. I've seen Joe every year since "92" including all G3's and this was by far the best venue for Joe and any national act. Not only is it beautiful but most important....the site lines are perfect anywhere in the house. Comfortable seats, clean bathrooms.....yes,I know......clean bathrooms, parking garge next door and in the Chicago Loop which, as you know,a great place to be on a nice Fall night. It was a awesome show and Cindy and I just loved it. I wish we could have stayed to meet Joe outside but we had to leave, (there was a time limit in the garage)

Chicago EH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, seeing Joe on the 16th !

I was wondering, how long are the shows generally? Not that it really makes a difference for me, but I'm going with my dad and he isn't a fan of standing up for 2 hours (that's why he prefers concerts like Yes, where everyone's sitting down etc)

Also... how long should I wait after Joe leaves just in case there's an encore? I've never really stayed after the band leaves the stage cause my dads always in a rush to get out before the traffic starts and I didn't realize how much I was missing out on!

another note: are there usually breaks halfway through the show? ive never been to a concert like this, only 'calmer' bands

Hey everyone,

Well, my double-duty of work (on Monday) is out of the way. Got done with another day of work today. Not sure if I have enough energy to go jogging later. I hope that I'll be ready for the 5-Mile Race on the 19th and the 10K Race on the 26th. I found out earlier that my entry for the 10K has been confirmed.

Out of the Setlist: How are you doing? It will be another busy week for me. The grand opening of the Holiday Inn Hotel that I am working at (full-time) should be in a few days. My part-time job at the Hilton is also going well. Did that information I gave you earlier (about E-Bay) help out?

Demonic Shredder: How are you doing man? Welcome!!! Glad to hear that the concert went well. I couldn't go to Chicago, Cleveland, or the one up in Michigan because of work. You got Yngwie Malmsteen tickets? How cool is that man? I'm sure that you and your brother will enjoy Malmsteen.

js1200js1000: Excellent on getting the codes for the online store. What do you think you are going to get?

Keniko: Congratulations on 29 years. I wish you all the best.

BiosMadness: Hola and welcome!!! Hope you get to see Joe Satriani. I am trying to see him in concert myself.

shinzo: Hello, welcome, and how are you doing? Hope you and your son enjoy Joe in New York City. Do you mind letting us know how the concert went down?

MEDD: Welcome and how are you doing? My best friend got me into Joe Satriani last year. I have to say that Joe's music is one of the best.

JS_JS: Hello, and best of luck for you at school and on your midterms. You're gonna do well and pass man. Study hard!!!

lawl: Hi there. Hope you enjoy seeing Joe on the 16th. Do you mind letting us know how the concert went?

Well, I gotta go. I have more errands to do. Gotta run everyone. See ya!!!

Okay, the little kid is kinda freaky...but he does have rhythm.

Honestly, the other 2 videos were really good...I can certainly appreciate the talent. I know it's technically country music, but I can deal with it, LOL

Rockabilly works too.

I will definitely report back on the NYC show.
