McCain Caught Cheating

The Presidential election was too close to call. Neither the Republican candidate nor the Democratic candidate had enough votes to win.

There was much talk about ballot recounting, court challenges, etc., but a week-long ice fishing competition seemed the sportsmanlike way to settle things. The candidate that caught the most fish at the end of the week would win the election.

After much of back and forth discussion, it was decided that the contest take place on a remote frozen lake in northern Minnesota .

There were to be no observers present, and both men were to be sent out separately on this isolated lake to return at 5 P.M. with their catch so the fish could be counted and verified by a team of neutral parties.

At the end of the first day, John McCain returned to the starting line and he had ten fish.

Soon, Obama returned, but had no fish. Well, everyone assumed he was just having a bad day or something, and hopefully, he would catch up the next day.

At the end of the 2nd day John McCain came in with 20 fish and Obama came in again with none.

That evening, Harry Reid got together secretly with Obama and said, “Obama, I think John McCain is a low-life, cheatin' son-of-a-gun. I want you to go out tomorrow and don't even bother with fishing. Just spy on him and see just how he is cheating.”

The next night (after John McCain returns with 50 fish), Harry said to Obama, “Well, tell me, how is John cheating?”

Obama replied, “Harry, you're not going to believe this, but he's cutting holes in the ice!”

EXPERIENCE COUNTS!

Foxster - Congrats on winning the backstage passes for the show on Saturday! I know my son would have loved that opportunity, so enjoy it for all of us at the theatre that night, okay :)

Lorenzo - I grew up in NYC, so I saw many concerts at the Garden. I live in NJ now (didn't get too far, lol!)...

Out Of The Setlist

If you go to Best Buy's website and search either for GNR or Chinese Democracy - it pops up - with a picture of one of the album covers - apparently there is a B and A cover for both the vinyl and CD.

Michelle-just to clarify, Joe the plumber doesn't make $250,000 a year. the business that he wants to buy would make that. and we don't know if thats gross or net. why is it not O.K. for people to be succesfull. again, we are not talking about a big corp. just an average guy who is trying to realize the american dream. kudos to him! "spreading the wealth around" which obama proposes is just another term for a socialist system. if you want a socialist system try living in Russia, or China for a couple years. I'm sure Mr. Satriani would have his wealth redistributed to who ever Barak feels needs it best. what do you have to say about that Joe!!

JAYLEIN- not sure the number of the delays joe uses. I beleive its a DS-3, and a DS-9. delay set to 200 & 800 ms. the chorus is just a standard Boss Chorus pedal, as well as the flanger check their website. http://www.bossus.com/gear/subcategories.php?ParentId=89

i would add the PH-3 phase shifter to your list. great for pink floyd tunes (any colour you like-DSM). Don't forget the Wah Wah!!!

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, 'What is Politics?'

Dad says, 'Well son, let me try to explain it this way:

I am the head of the family , so call me The President.

Your mother is the administrator of the money, so! we call her the Government.

We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People.

The nanny, we will consider her theWorking Class.

And your baby brother, we will call him the Future.

Now think about that and see if it makes sense.'

So the little boy! Goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said.

Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him.

He finds tha t the baby has severely soiled his diaper.

So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.

The next morning, the little boy say's to his father, 'Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now.'

The father says, 'Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.' The little boy replies, 'The President is screwing the Working Class while theGovernment is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit.

Hey all, anyone else seen Dog Soldiers? He he, good horror on a budget!

ibanezguitars - I'm sure you'll find that sponsor moves are more related to the corporate deal they'll get. Vodafone were originally Ferrari (before McLaren) for example and none of the drivers came over with them. Interesting all the same though

Out of the Setlist - that's a shame about the tour tracks then, specifically Cryin and Oots disappearing. I thought the setlist as we got it was amazing. Still, you get Stu but lose a couple of tracks so I guess that's balance?

I'll give you $10 for a signed copy of 'creations' LMAO. I missed a bootleg too, and that went for £50

Philthemetalhead - couldn't agree more about Saw, but guess I'll catch it on DVD sometime in the future

Igneousiceman - I'm a big Lewis fan, but he still needs to calm down a bit. Last year he lost it pretty much on a team mistake but at this rate (with the organisational opposition he has against him) he's going to throw it away on his own. Things is the FIA have been getting away with this kind of nonsense for ages so I don't see it stopping any time soon. Something I just found out "Last year, permanent steward Tony-Scott Andrews stood down from his position at the end of the season. That led to a restructuring of the organisation, with FIA president Max Mosley's representative Alan Donnelly providing a permanent advisory function to the three stewards appointed at each event."

Yep, that's a Max Mosley (Ron Dennis Hater) hit squad!

I would imagine though (after this year) that a dedicated group of stewards (of ex drivers surely!?) will be part of the circus for 2009. Fingers crossed once again for this weekend.

Guitar programme was good wasn't it, enjoyed the Robert Johnson stuff. Have you seen the movie Crossroads?

Plus how fitting that Dave Gilmour owns a 54' Fender Strat with serial 00001

Roo - interesting about the BDG. So, what are the scribbles on the components done with? I have a very old BDG clone that I use paint pens on and that stuck for good.

Maybe you have a good luthier over there who would do it an take care of the guitar as much as you do? Or get Gary Brawer to do it : )

If you ever get a chance it would be great to hear that tone comparison. Pencil it in for 09 LOL Thanks for sharing your thoughts on them

Blue Moon - "to me, to you, to me....." freaky picture

SkippyGirl - I know, crazy price huh, for 4 tracks. It's not in my collection though so I did think about it : )

Nite all... exhausted

Hey everyone:

Another day of hard hospitality work (13 hours). Now I got to take of care of a couple of things: Writing this, checking mail/e-mail, pick up a birthday gift for one of my best friend's sons, etc. One good thing today is that I found out that I passed my TIPS On Premise Certificaiton Exam.

Out of the Selitst: Very sorry to hear about those wildfires. I still cannot believe that those fires are still going out there. When are they ever going to stop? Glad to hear that you got over the cold. Stay healthy bro. I'm trying to stay healthy myself for upcoming race Sunday and next Sunday.

The weather here in Indiana has gone a little wacko. We get record high temps and then all of a sudden, the temperatures drop like another 20 degrees. First it gets cold, then it gets warm, and then gets cool.

js1200js1000: Did you say that you have about every shirt? If so, that is amazing. I thought getting a couple of Satriani shirts. Did you buy anything yet?

ZuperDave: I am so sorry to hear about you being laid off. I feel so bad for you and for your family. Hang in there man and I am praying for you and your family. Hate to see you sell that copy man. Do your best to stay strong and positive man.

Joe Satrini: Hi there. Yes, Additional Creations is starting to go up more (in price).

Well, I gotta run. I got to get all of my other errands done and get ready for another day of work. See ya everyone!!!

mikesb, I could kiss ya smack on the lips for that political post! I've been saying the McPalin campaign has been using fear based tactics all along. The problem is, there are a LOT of people who eat up that sh*t with a spoon and believe every word of it. Two things I detest are fear based politics, and fear based religion. Your post nailed it.

As for the oldest/youngest on t2j, I turned 44 this year, so I'm on the high numbers side. I think I was 33 when I got here. lol!

lorenzo, I know it's not what the guy makes. It was the line McCain said about "Why would you want to do that to anyone, anyone in America, when we have such a tough time?" Like $250,000 a year is poverty level. The McCains are so feckin rich they are clueless to the struggle most people are going through - American or otherwise. I think everyone needs to pay their fair share. Right now, the middle class are taking the brunt of it. Try sending a kid to college. The rich can afford it, the poor have it paid for, but the middle class - well, unless your kid gets in on scholarships, your pretty much screwed. Still friends - vid back at ya

and p.s. -Dave Weiner got the flu. Stop by his site and drop him a get well email. Let him know you're from Satriani.com ;-)

Cappy Steve...Glitz Man....thanks for the kind words. I know there are people out there who are far worse off than me, so I have the attitude that things will have a way of working out.

By the way....I'm 39. I know damn well I'm not the oldest...lol !!

Michelle....We the people have been supporting the McCain family's for I think 3 generations? You're right...he does'nt have a clue.
