Peter Hodgson - a fellow Melburnian :0). Just read the Joe interview and enjoyed it alot. Some editing probs but maybe you had it transcribed from audio?

Half of it I couldn't understand but enjoyed the way Joe lovingly described the technical aspects of how he plays or records his music. Unfortunately it made me realise I could (with a lot of effort) learn to play guitar but I would also need an electronics and sound engineering degree to ever work out how songs are put together and recorded!

Do The Stu/OOTS - you're not going to vote at all?

Skippygirl - Oh, I could've worded that better... I'll be voting for a third-party candidate (I haven't yet decided who). I expect at least 95% of all votes cast nationwide to go to either McCain or Obama, so there's no chance of anyone else winning with the way everything is now. But I don't like either of those candidates enough to give them my vote.

And then of course there are other things on the ballot...congressional elections, state propositions, and other stuff on a more local level. So in the end I'll have a say on plenty of things...

...Austin...

I still can't believe Additional Creations is going for that much now. I may have to dig mine out of the storage box and put it up for sale. I just got laid off...today is my last day until further notice...sucks. I don't want to sign up for unemployment but I really have no choice until things pick up around here. We're in a really bad way right now. We'll be lucky if we can keep our house heated AND get our bills paid.

D_O_M.... you're welcome..

Hybes...tee hee hee

No offence...I love men...

don't think either sex will ever tuly understand the ways of the other though LOL

take this for example....

What a woman says:

This place is a mess! C'mon!
You and I need to clean up!
Your stuff is lying on the floor and
you'll have no clothes to wear if we
don't do laundry right now!

What a man hears:

blah,blah,blah,blah, C'MON
blah,blah,blah,blah, YOU AND I
blah, blah,blah,blah, ON THE FLOOR
blah,blah,blah,blah, NO CLOTHES
blah,blah,blah,blah, RIGHT NOW

tee hee hee

hey....

This is so bizarre.

Open a plain Word document and type in:

=rand (200,99)

Then press Enter

Very weird.

Hugs Satriella xx

Tough break Dave, been there got the T shirt read the book and even starred in the film so I feel for ya. Hope a huge slice of luck comes your way soon.

On another point, I wonder who is the oldest and who is the youngest in here. Coffee man beats me by a year or so. Anyone older than Ken? Come on and fess up, let's see what age range of Satch fans we have in here.

New exercise routine.

If you're over 30 you might want to take it easy at first, then do it faster as you become more proficient.

This may be too strenuous for some.

Always consult your doctor before starting any exercise program.

SCROLL DOWN

NOW SCROLL UP That's enough for the first day. Have some chocolate.

aaaaaaaaaah my kinda exercise plan!

Guts - is arriving home late after a night out with the lads, being assaulted by your wife with a broom, and having the guts to ask: "Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?"

Balls - is coming home late after a night out with the lads, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the a*se and having the balls to say - "You're next fatty."

Maritime, with all of the shredders out there today, YouTube Myspace etc etc I doubt if many of the youngsters could ever understand how impactful the first hearing of Al DiMeola was back in the middle 70ies, particularly in comparison to the other guitarists of the day.... It was at once exhilerating and scary as hell.....

If you put into context the fact that they all DELIVERED LIVE that kind of skill back then...it makes you ponder what they are able t play in the comfortable confines of home

To me thats what makes it remarkable

Just thought I'd share some comments I read from a well known, and as you can read, extremely intelligent and articulate Canadian musician, who I also happen to respect very much: ( adding that the views expressed etc etc etc....)

"Here's my 2 Canadian-not-able-to-vote-in-your-election cents...

Obama/Biden have my 100% not-able-to-vote-but-wish-I-could support.

McCain/Palin need to stop doing the Karl Rove thing. If they think most Americans are stupid enough to buy into that same old scare-them-to-death tactic three times in a row, then they're more ignorant than they think most Americans are, and I've got a Bridge To Nowhere that I'd like to sell them, up in Alaska.

As for falsely equating Barack Obama with "dangerous friends", and using loaded phrases such as "Beware The Enemy Within", just remember that the real culprits are already "within", meaning within the current Administration.

These neocons, who run rampant throughout the current Administration, are the people that engineered 2 very divided elections, a divided nation and a divided world (no doubt you've heard the phrase, "divide and conquer"). These are the people that have used fear, subterfuge and outright lies, not to mention religion, as a means of implementing that division. The policies of these people have yielded their result... three ongoing wars and, even more importantly, a complete financial disaster for the American citizen.

And, no less important, from a uniquely American perspective, these people have attempted to (and in some cases have) ignored and abused the Constitution of the United States, a magnificent document which is the most defining characteristic of what America actually is, and should truly be.

And remember this, whenever you hear anyone justify their position by mis-using and mis-interpreting Christianity (a subject that I know a little bit about):

God uses good men... bad men use God."
