Austin - Thanks! Yeah, it's been a while hasn't it? hahaha! Keeping super busy with the girls, they are in high school and both involved... one playing tenors on Drumline and the other in Symphony Orchestra, so that keeps me busy right there. =]

Good to get back to my "roots" here on the site. Have missed it...

What about you? what's been new lately? Am loving the new CD!!

Hey guys, seeing Joe on the 16th !

I was wondering, how long are the shows generally? Not that it really makes a difference for me, but I'm going with my dad and he isn't a fan of standing up for 2 hours (that's why he prefers concerts like Yes, where everyone's sitting down etc)

Also... how long should I wait after Joe leaves just in case there's an encore? I've never really stayed after the band leaves the stage cause my dads always in a rush to get out before the traffic starts and I didn't realize how much I was missing out on!

another note: are there usually breaks halfway through the show? ive never been to a concert like this, only 'calmer' bands

Hey everyone,

Well, my double-duty of work (on Monday) is out of the way. Got done with another day of work today. Not sure if I have enough energy to go jogging later. I hope that I'll be ready for the 5-Mile Race on the 19th and the 10K Race on the 26th. I found out earlier that my entry for the 10K has been confirmed.

Out of the Setlist: How are you doing? It will be another busy week for me. The grand opening of the Holiday Inn Hotel that I am working at (full-time) should be in a few days. My part-time job at the Hilton is also going well. Did that information I gave you earlier (about E-Bay) help out?

Demonic Shredder: How are you doing man? Welcome!!! Glad to hear that the concert went well. I couldn't go to Chicago, Cleveland, or the one up in Michigan because of work. You got Yngwie Malmsteen tickets? How cool is that man? I'm sure that you and your brother will enjoy Malmsteen.

js1200js1000: Excellent on getting the codes for the online store. What do you think you are going to get?

Keniko: Congratulations on 29 years. I wish you all the best.

BiosMadness: Hola and welcome!!! Hope you get to see Joe Satriani. I am trying to see him in concert myself.

shinzo: Hello, welcome, and how are you doing? Hope you and your son enjoy Joe in New York City. Do you mind letting us know how the concert went down?

MEDD: Welcome and how are you doing? My best friend got me into Joe Satriani last year. I have to say that Joe's music is one of the best.

JS_JS: Hello, and best of luck for you at school and on your midterms. You're gonna do well and pass man. Study hard!!!

lawl: Hi there. Hope you enjoy seeing Joe on the 16th. Do you mind letting us know how the concert went?

Well, I gotta go. I have more errands to do. Gotta run everyone. See ya!!!

Okay, the little kid is kinda freaky...but he does have rhythm.

Honestly, the other 2 videos were really good...I can certainly appreciate the talent. I know it's technically country music, but I can deal with it, LOL

Rockabilly works too.

I will definitely report back on the NYC show.

Amen to that schinzo and welcome. i can't stand that annoying twanging. the closest thing to country i like is the grateful dead.* l am 44 and i think that those years.. 60's too was the best music. not a big fan of the 80's .remember alvin lee? (ten years after), creedence clearwater, *neil young. did you see the original Zep? i think you were a little young yet. i missed that one. but i did see jimmi play with all living members with the singer from the Black Crowes filling in for Plant. he almost sounded like him!! i was very surprised. the who was the first night. shroooooom

favorite bands: joe Satriani of course, nickelback, nineinch nails, audioslave, pink floyd, pearl jam, soundgarden, stone temple pilots, theres othes but thats just off the top of my head.

Shinzo- I saw the same Led Zeppelin tour in '77 in Cleveland. I'm 48. Unforgetable! The 70's rocked!

So Monday I take my EOC cd in to play at work. I want my students to listen because Friday I saw Joe and I was still buzzing from the great sounds. I teach high school art so I can do this. Many asked me who this was again, they never heard of JS. A couple boys said they'll check him out on line, they really like the music. I felt great about it! I just love my job.

rock on~ Linda

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. Things should get a little easier after this week.

Out of the Setlist Actually I barley listen to the new ablum. I am still so satisfied with Super Colossal and his older stuff I haven't moved on to the new one. Weird I guess.

I'm green with envy that you were in the Madison
I have to resign myself to watching and hearing "The Song Remains The Same", that was the album that hooked me into Zep

Keniko - Congrats on 29 years! I don't know if this will make you feel old or me feel young, but my parents' 29th anniversary is coming up in January. ;-)

Thanks for the update on your band...I look forward to hearing the demos.

It's cool to hear that you had a great time at the Satch gig. What songs would you say were the best? And it sounds like the venue is a good one too...is it fairly new, or is it an older theater? Can you find any pictures of it online? I'd like to see...

bubbles - It's good that your daughters are both involved in music at school. What do they think about Joe's music, though? That's the most important question. ;-)

I know what you mean about it being good to be back here. I was away for a few years (most of 06 and 07), but I came back around February...I really missed this place.

Will you be able to make it to a show this tour? I'll be at the last four shows of the tour...it's a lot, I know, but I'm psyched that Stu is back in the band and I want to see as much of him as I can.

lawl - Mountain should play for 45 minutes to an hour, there will be a break of at least 15 minutes, and then Satch will come on. He'll probably play an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes. And you definitely want to stay until the very end of the show because he's been jamming with Leslie West of Mountain during the encore.

Traffic generally isn't too bad at Satch gigs...especially on tours like this where he's playing venues with a capacity of less than 2,000. You can stay for the whole show, take your time leaving the venue, and still not have too much traffic to worry about.

Glitz Man - Thanks for the eBay info...I replied to that post, but maybe you missed it. I got my copy of Additional Creations back in 2001 for like $8, I was only asking about your price because I was wondering how much it was going for now. It's crazy...haha.

Anyway, I'm doing good, more or less. I'm sure you've heard about the wildfires out here...it's making it really tough to breathe, especially with it being so hot. And I just got over a cold, so it stucks to still have some trouble breathing...but it's bad of me to complain about something as stupid as that when there are people who have lost their homes...that really puts things in perspective.

Sorry, I don't mean to be a downer...but that's what Southern California is like right now.

JS_JS - Nah, it's not that weird. And I guess there's a little less motivation to listen to it since Joe isn't playing near you, unfortunately.

What are some of your favorite older Satch albums? I don't remember...

Listening to: Van Halen - III (current song: Fire In The Hole)

I went to the gym after work tonight, and I listened to VH's For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge while I was on the exercise bike. Now I'm home and I put on VHIII, and I have to say it holds its own against it. I never really thought about it, but I'd say III is a cross between that album and maybe Diver Down from the DLR days.

...Austin...
