Keep at it Scuba, wish u success.
AUSTRALIANS, are u aware that Iron Maiden is headed your way? Selling tickets 6 months in advance seems like a money grab for me, but that's the way it rolls.
Iron Maiden are delighted to announce that they will return to Australia in late February/early March 2011 to headline Australasia’s greatest Metal Festival, Soundwave. The dates are –
26 Feb 2011 - Brisbane, Showgrounds
27 Feb 2011 - Sydney, Eastern Creek Raceway
4 Mar 2011 - Melbourne, Showgrounds
5 Mar 2011 - Adelaide, Bonython Park
7 Mar 2011 - Perth, Steel Blue Oval
For full details on Soundwave and its incredible line up go to http://www.soundwavefestival.com/
PLUS Iron Maiden will also play two arena shows prior to the festivals with first ticket access for Fan Club members:
23 Feb 2011 - Melbourne, Hisense Arena
24 Feb 2011 - Sydney, Entertainment Centre
The exclusive pre-sale will take place on Tuesday 10th August at noon and run through to 5pm Wednesday 11th (local time). The pre-sale is open to all Fan Club members - watch the site for updates!
Tickets for these two shows go on sale to the general public on August 12th.

Hi Everyone:
Here's the result from the 10K Run yesterday: 8th out of about 120; 3rd in my Age Division; Time: 37 minutes and 30 seconds. My fastest 10K ever! YEAH BABY! X-D
Axeshredderjc: Thanks for the praise. How's the JS2400 going for you? \m/
Oxley11: Just do the best you can on your creative "Joe songs" summary.
scubadaz: Good luck on quitting smoking. I know a couple of folks who are trying to quit and I made a deal with them. The deal was that I would run a marathon and if I finish (without stopping), they would quit smoking and start getting fit. I have already done two marathons and I have never stopped, but unfortunately, the folks did not quit so that's bad for them on not living up to their part/baragain.

goatbrother70 - you never know, Joe might just do that for you, best of luck.
elpp - yeah I'm interested in Iron Maiden's tour, the Showgrounds here in Melbourne is a terrible venue though. Will see what happens.
Glitzy - well done great run there buddy!!! You just keep getting faster and doing better!
Scuba - I know you didn't ask for advice but can't help myself :) - good on you for giving up smoking you'll live a lot longer for sure and be wealthier. You know that there is a more powerful tool than willpower? It's actually your imagination. Imagination is far stronger than willpower, which is why people struggle with giving up habits like smoking by trying to use willpower. They imagine themselves having a smoke, or still see themselves as smokers who are just temporarily trying not to smoke, and sooner or later it gets them.
So you use imagination to your own advantage. When you decide to quit, if you immediately only think of yourself as a nonsmoker for the rest of your life (not someone who just isn't smoking right now) then you will more than likely have a greater chance of staying that way.
It's sorta like, "why would I have a smoke when I'm a non-smoker? Non-smokers don't smoke, so that's me too. I do what other non-smokers do." When you feel a bit lost about not having a ciggy in your hand, you just look at the nearest non-smoker and copy what they are doing, cos that's what you do when you're a non-smoker.
If you try to just will yourself not to smoke, in the end your imagination will play so many images in your mind about picking one up, lighting it, holding it and drawing in the smoke and enjoyig the feeling, that it's very hard to beat.
Hope that helps a bit. It's worth a try, right? And yes, I used to smoke, in my 20's :0)
Happy week everybody!
Joe - any blue for us buddy????

Michelle--The 15th and sometime in the 1960s? That means you could be 10 or more years younger than this old woman! Wadda ya know!?! :-)
Al--How would PA Michelle and Cali Milli get together to celebrate birthdays together when we live almost 3,000 miles apart??? I'm tethered to a Library that needs me to keep books, CDs and DVDs on their shelves and can't take more than 2 days off fer me birhday.......My Steve and a few friends and relatives are gonna help me celebrate. They want me to get out and see the stars at night to help me keep a perspective on life. Also, my Steve wants to have some feline friends drop into our back yard to get their fill of catnip. The friend from Sandy Cruz says it's contributing to the deliquency of a feline.....:-0 Wow! Imagine that! lmao! I just love them cute, furry critters!
Hello DONKEY, I guess the male tackling is so very important to protect........avoid trips to the tackling doctor! :-)

GG2, I'll be 46. I wonder when I'll get to that number that I'll be dreading that age? Don't think that'll ever happen though. It's all gravy IMO. No use in bitchin' about it. Either you add a number or you don't. I'd rather keep adding, thank you very much. lol! It really cracks me up when somebody younger than me busts on me for being old. WTF do you think is coming to you? lol! Ahhh, the ignorance of the young. lmao!! Growing older is cool. All the aches and pains...not so much. LOL! I'm just sayin'....

Did anyone happen to see Emmitt Smith's acceptance speech into the Hall? Total class. What he said to Moose Johnston was just amazing.
By the way, I see Best Buy has the Koss Porta Pro everyday price at 29.99. If anyone hasn't had a chance to pick these up and you're looking for a new set of headphones....these are quite a bang for buck at 30 bucks!

Hello Mr. Satriani, this is my first message to you. Just got my account aproval in my email. Anyway, just wanted to thank you for signing my Les Paul back in Denver on the g3 tour with Steve Vai and Yngwie, must have been '06 or so. Yngwie was nice enough to sign it also but I arrived too late for Steve, which is too bad because he went out with a camera before the show. In fact, I actually saw my ugly head on the dvd. See you in Denver next time. Nick Luch

Axe- Awesome vid man! That guitar is beautiful. I see where Scubz is comin from on the odd looks; that new neck pup looked very out of place on a JS at first, but I think it fits quite nicely now that I've admired it a while. I think some people actually like it more than the traditional JS style.
What I would really like to see is the teal single coil prototype from the EH tour. That thing was a monster in looks and sound!
On another note, I'll use my 100th post to announce that, contrary to my Joe boycott, I will be attending the CF show at Lake Tahoe. (Got 2 tix for my b-day). Speaking of boycotts, I wonder if Joe has called it good with Arizona now that the Feds have pretty much scrapped the law.
Do The Stu- Have you decided on Chickenhoe yet? Tracie, I noticed that your name was on the attending list. I also noticed that they are doing after show pass giveaways for the two CF dates.
And Van Halen, what can be said about them that hasn't already been said... I read the press release about the new album, but they have been working on 'new material' for several years now. I'm a little torn on a new VH album, partly because I'm more of a Hagar era fan, and also because I'd hate to see them record a new album without Mikey. Then again, I liked VH3 and the majority didn't. I'd love to hear their new stuff, but at the same time I'm afraid it won't live up to the expectation they've been building up for the last 12ish years.
I am definitely looking forward to the Black Country Communion album; not as much as Batch of Satch, but it's up there.
Ian

McDave-Glad ya liked it..Thanks!
jsTony- thanks....yeah my heart was shattered..and then broken....i had to try again...but i actually saved a heap of cash and i have the guitar a guitar of dreams and wishes.
Scuba- thanks...but i dont see the imbalance....it rang awesome from the first time i saw it..and i really like white guitars....i asked Joe once for new colors and he said which one and i said white...he seemed disappointed with the answer..lol..ok..Lime Green then..Really!..with led dots. I think a js1200 in white with white pups/all chrome would be a freekin awesome guitar.
turbo236- thanks..yep i agree with you..many will seek this guitar i think for its originality in design and excellent features that are second to none..the EH proto will always be a proto (i guess)...
Yeah A Batch of Satch!..cant wait
