Can't wait to get the new cd. Saw some of your upcoming Canadian tour stops. Would be awesome if you can squeeze in Saskatoon, Sask. We have some great venues for you to play in.

Hi Joe and all the T2Jers,
It has been quite some time since I posted. In fact not much in my life has remained the same since that time. I am now married, had two adorable girls (twins), and lost my father to cancer, but one thing has remained the same, the top songs in my playlist are always dominated by Joe. Normally this is enough to keep me happy, but there is one request I simply must make:
Please play in Portland, Oregon during your tour for "Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards."
The last concert that was here was during the "Super Colossal" tour in May of 2006. Four and a half years is simply too long. Of course I don't know the circumstances behind the long absence to the northwest. I'm sure there are good reasons, but it really would be great to see Joe in concert from somewhere other than my TV and YouTube.
Looking forward to more Joe and BSaWW!!

Austin, my son and I went at night, around 9 pm. I guess it was crowded for that time of day, we had to wait over 5 minutes to get our stuff, enough time for my son to spill his Dr Pepper, but that's another story!!
Both of us got the cheeseburger combo, comes with regular fries and a drink. Shakes are a prohibited item for me due to lactose intolerance. For the same reason I also could not add cheese to the fries, although I was quite tempted once I saw them served.
I noticed the burger had a "weird" mix of mayo and relish, that tasted quite good and was the best part of the burger. The rest was just plain, better than Mickey D's or Wendy's but that's about it. Carl's Jr does a similar thing with the relish but the rest of the burger is big and juicy and tasty. Jack in the Box's Ultimate Cheeseburger also beats it hands down, even though I have to stay at home for 12 hours after eating it :D Fries were good.
I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. My son gave it 0 stars and actually protested loudly when I threatened to buy him another one on the drive back.

I am very excited about the new album! Two questions:
1. When do we (those of us who preordered) get to download Light Years Away?
2. I notice that it is possible to repeat songs on the setlist. Does that mean I could give 32 votes to Dog With Crown and Earring and help tip the scales a little?

elpp - In-N-Out cooks your food to order, so it always takes the same amount of time whether there's one person in line or 100. I actually think their food tastes a little better when they're more crowded (maybe because everyone is constantly working?) but I don't know.
If you liked the spread, order your burger "animal style" if you ever go back...you'll love it. I don't care for the spread, but a lot of people love it. The burger I get is usually fairly plain (ketchup, cheese, onion, lettuce).
I'm glad you liked the fries. They're fried in vegetable oil, which is why they taste different than most other fast food places. And the fact that they're whole potatoes until seconds before they're dropped into the deep fryer (see?) probably has something to do with it too.
canchito - Interesting! I wonder how many votes the leading songs have. If the 25-50ish most regular of T2J visitors all changed their setlists, that'd be a thousand votes for something like DWCAE. Maybe it's something we can coordinate for the next tour? ;-) We might have to edit our posts, though, so webmaster Jon and Joe don't see our plans...haha.

Ohhh- I forgot about Mighty Turtle Head... Hmmm. Maybe next time. The only one I would trade it for off the top of my head would be Tumble, and I think it would be kinda neat to see that one live.
DWCAE is to this tour what Time Machine was to the last tour for me; once I found out that Joe was playing Time Machine in '08, nothing else mattered, and that will pretty much be the case with Dog this go around! I never thought about voting 32 times for the same song... I suppose when Joe looks at his master list, it's just 32 more votes for that one song, which may be the difference between it being played or not. On the other hand, there are a lot of other songs I want to vote for, so I am counting on my fellow T2J'ers to exercise their Joe given right to vote for what they wanna hear. Me picking the same song 32 times would be a little unfair, too, and I know there are quite a few others who wanna hear some new (to us) tunes on this tour just like me! Particularly Dog With Crown and Earring.... ahem...
Nite everyone!
Ian
EDIT: Canchino: The download date for pre-order folks is 9/7, I believe. You should have received an email with the details (at least the code). If not, check your spam folder; that's where mine went.

Dear Mr. Satriani, I am a private party bartender. I have a friend that thinks I should tour with you as your personal bartender. I said I would look into it. The more I think about it, the bigger the idea in my head becomes.
So here goes. I have over 20 years experience with a resume of signature drinks. Having management experience, I would be able to 'bird-dog' future locations to ensure your needs were met at each venue. I would work with staff at each location setting up the perfect environment for pre/post concert gatherings/parties/celebrations. You can find me at www.billthebartender.com
I have pre-purchased your new CD and am waiting for the pre-sale of concert tickets! See you in Cleveland, Ohio at the House of Blues.
Sincerely, Bill Shankland

So much for my sneaky plans. You cannot actually SAVE the setlist with multiple listings of the same song. Looks like DWCAE gets exactly 1 vote from me.
