I certainly have fun with music... I just thought it would be an interesting competition for Joe to lead. Personally, I don't need feedback from anyone as I write music and play guitar for myself. Not sure if I'll ever post anything... not sure how to convert a wave to mp3 (is that the right format for the net)?

just caught the news about the New Zealand quake. didn't know they were prone to them over there, or is it just mother nature freaking out? any T2Jers over there? sending well wishes to those in trouble.
glitz; you are a busy dude, good luck on your future races. you are one dedicated guy that's for sure.
did anyone catch the recent story from Australia about the miracle newborn? now i don't believe in religion or any of that higher power stuff, but i also don't knock those that do, people should have the freedom to believe what they want. i do however think that the human body, soul, spirit, or whatever you want to call it has some mysteries that we may never understand. a woman had given birth to 6 month premature twin boys. one of them was pronounced dead at birth. the mother asked to hold the baby. they placed the baby on the mothers chest and she and the husband laid in the bed for two hours holding, caressing and talking to the baby. they also had a video camera running the whole time. they said they just wanted the baby to feel thier love before letting him go. at one point the mother expressed some breast milk and with her finger was rubbing it on the baby,s lips when the saw it move. at first the doctor told them it was just a common nervous system thing that happens when the body dies. they continued to talk and caresse the baby and it started to move again and then opened it eyes!!!! the doctor wouldn't come back to the room thinking the parents were hysterical from the loss. he finally came back when the parents told him they were ready to let the baby go and saw for himself the baby was actually alive. he is now a healthy 6 month old. like i said i'm not religous but i would definitley call this a miracle! makes me wonder how many other premature babies may have been let go too soon.
just a note on antibiotics. i'm taking one called Avelox. people if your doctor gives you this stuff, give it back. this drug is hard core. i'm not sure the side effects are worth it. my doc said my pneumonia was really bad which is why he prescribed it, saying it's one of the so called new super antibiotics. but after taking this i have to lay in bed for at least three hours because of the dizziness, anxiety and general lack of control of my own brain. i was even hallucinating for a bit. nasty, nasty stuff.
sorry for the long post. hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. catch ya later.

Light Years Away: I'm really starting to dig this tune. At the end of the song it has some minor chords in it, reminds me a lot of PJ Harvey, and some alternative rock vibe in it....Great song!!!

Don1963- Thanks for sharing the miracle baby story...... amazing......and it does make you wonder .
About the antibiotic avelox...I was prescribed it a couple of years ago..had exactly the same side effects.
When I told my DR. he told me that the antibiotic had no reports of side effects of that kind. Pretty much told me I was having panic attacks etc
. I TOLD him I still wanted a different antibiotic so he prescribed another drug & it didn't make me feel so odd.
AVELOX is a Very NASTY drug..... are you STILL taking it? I don't recommend it....anyways ........
HOPE YA GET BETTER SOON !!!!! :-)

Punkdude 57 - I get your drift but John Lennon was once asked in an interview 'Is Ringo the best drummer in the world?'
John Lennon replied 'Ringo isn't even the best drummer in The Beatles'

Grampy steve: LOL, Did John say that?, but yeah, you are right, I think Ringo was not the best drummer at the time, but the chemistry with the other 3 guys was incredible. ....cheers dude

Yeah, great mates usually have good chemistry. Original drummer Pete Best was disposed of because Macca wanted his mate Richard Starkey in the band. They've remained close friends ever since and still play on each others records.

Hey Everyone:
Thought I let you all know how the race went today. There was about 75 runners in the 10 Mile Race I ran in. My time was 1 hour, 5 minutes, and 7 seconds (about a 6:31 mile per pace). Overall, I came in 2nd place. I was 1:11 behind from the winner.
Work yesterday went well. I'll have to do it again Sunday night and Monday morning so my Labor Day will be filled. Hope everyone has a good Labor Day weekend.
Don1963: Thanks dude. Best to you with your work as well. Great story on the miracle baby.

My next door neighbor died on Thursday. My Steve and I had been keeping vigil since he went into hospital almost a month ago. We met nearly all his family since they wanted to see him and wish him well. He was only 65. His mom is 97 and they lived in the same house and looked after each other for about ten years since his dad died. We will miss Bob working in his garage and showing us his awards he collected at Corvette shows. In addition to the Corvette he had two other cars. He was always washing them every week and polishing the Corvette. Nice guy. RIP, Bob.
Hope those who got tickets to see Chickenfoot this month and Joe in Napa in October have fun. Steve and I are hoping a January date in San Francisco is announced soon.
Just got "Windowmakers Highway" the other day. Great guitar music sounds like they had fun when they recorded it. Also listening to The Memory of Trees (Enya) and On Revolute (Dave Weiner). Sonic therapy!

GoldenMilli - For me, WH is a collection of 'this is what I can do', rather than an album with a 'story'. When he completes an 'album' I feel we could be in for something special. If ole Roy ever gets round to putting it out that is!

I finally made it around to reading Joe's walk through of the album over at music radar. I wanted to hold off on it for a couple weeks so as not to go through all the new stuff at the same time.. Wanted to kind of stretch it out a little. Definitely a good read! Next is the download of LYA on Tuesday. Even though we've already heard it, it will be nice to have a high quality version of it to listen to.
Austin- We discussed the BBW video track a week or so ago on here, and you suggested it may either be Dream Song or LYA. I put my vote up for LYA, and obviously I was wrong. But, after reading the walk through and listening to the sample again, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that it's gonna be God Is Crying... I may be wrong, but I think it's just a little too upbeat to be something related to a dream. Either way, it will be worth the wait...

Distorted Soul: The Sweetwater gig with Dave Weiner & Rob Balducci was excellent. One of my friends and I had a blast. Dave Weiner showed us his new Serial #1 513 7-string guitar which was really neat. Rob Balducci and his band also played some great tunes. I wished I had my earlplugs with me because they were crankin'. My friend and I bought Weiner's new album and all three Balducci CDs, and we got them all signed by both of them. I also got my ticket stub, pass, and poster signed by them, while my friend had one of his electric guitars signed by them, which was pretty awesome. I also won a T-Shirt from a drawing so that was good. Wish you had been there dude.

Avelox, ohh, nasty stuff. I have that on my allergy paper in all caps. lol! One pill is all it takes to know - NOT for me! I break out in hives. I don't remember if it made me sick, but I do remember hives, Benadryl, and saying never again! lol!

Is it October 5th yet?
P.S. Happy Birthday to ME!
For the second year in a row I'm wishing for a new Ibanez JS model. My original Ibanez 540P (1988) needs a replacement so bad. Let's see if fate is good to me this year...
