Just checking in for the first time in a long time. There are so many different people here now - great. Good to see quite a few I recognize - Hi Michelle, Kayla, DCK, Alan.
Heading to see Joe tomorrow in ATL. Just bought a ticket actually. I wasn't sure I'd make it since I was talking some guitars (one from James Byrd) to Barcelona for Slanshroom (I'm not even sure he is still a regular here).
I need to check in more often. I used to enjoy the community so much.

Joe
I saw you last night at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno yesterday at the taping.I was sitting across from you on the band's side in the audience, and called out to you hope you saw me out there.
I loved the part when Bill Cosby jammed with the band and he solo'd on those keyboards. He was great.lol
You rocked with your new music that you played on the show with the band !
See you @ the Orpheum show next year...

Al, it's 17c here now, but it's been raining hard overnight & all morning. Finally slowed down a bit, but the wind is fierce. Every once in a while I hear a gust hit and the house whisper "oh shit" and I cringe a bit. lol! Great day to have all the recycling out. Fecking barrels tipped over and cans, bottles, plastics everywhere. My barrel is still standing, but across the street wasn't so lucky. She's home, so if she would look out her window she'd see what a mess she has now. Looks like a ceiling tile or piece of drywall in the street too. Somebody didn't batten down the hatches! lol! My empty trash can is on the opposite side of the yard from where it usually is, but it's in the back yard, not out front in the street where the rest of the mess is. Anyways, it'll be back to 3c tomorrow, so I'll be freezing my tush off like the rest of ya's.

Cool..sounds very interesting...im sure Mike can appreciate Joes amazing musical knowledge more than most. I was playing ghosts with some new musicians and they were amazed at the timing changes in it, it almost got them excited (bass n drums)...as an ear player i miss out on those cool things often....looking forward to the read..thanks Peace

I bought the Ice 9 pedal. It does add a bit more warmth/depth/edge to the tone. However, when used with the Saturator, the gain needs to be kept in check (at 9 o'clock), or else it gets a bit shreddy in the tone. Even on its own, with my other gear, I can't crank it too much or it has a trebly effect to it. I'm using so many effects, including a Line 6 Pod X3 Live, that that could be the cause. Nonetheless, I'll likely keep it.

Merci beaucoup.

Stu Hamm's latest solo album, Just Outside Of Normal, is done. You can hear samples at CD Baby:
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stuarthamm2
Included are two songs with Satch on guitar, and Stu's solo rendition of Led Zeppelin's Going To California that we know from the PSATMOR tour.
You can buy the MP3 album at the above link now. Physical copies should be available from there by the end of the week, and autographed copies should be available from Stu's website soon.
