Hello Joe, I'm bring the whole family to the Strathmore show in Bethesda MD tomorrow night. My wife, son and daughter. Can't wait. If you see this post before the show would you please give a shout out to my daughter if possible. Her name is Jessica and she's a huge fan. She's 19 and battling cancer. A shout out to Jessica Rickard would make the show really special for her and all of us. Thanks.

you gotta love how someone can lie to your BEST FRIEND and they belive it and throw away a life long friend ship over it. I feel like I just lost a sister... and yes the very same one that was in the hospital. But I guess if they will believe someone else over you they were never your friend. But it hurts so bad :(

Cheese - fantastic that Chris will be close to family, as long as he doesnt fry too many appliances and guitar gear! Think of it this way, at least you won't have a 2 hr drive through the mountains.
Axe - incredibly good pics from the NY show, absolutely crystal clear with nothing but air between you and Joe. Thanks for sharing them.
Its our turn for a tour Joe!!

OK Funkilus fans, let's have some fun ! I have an idea to show our loyal support to Joe with a tatoo for the die hard Club Joe members. My 16 yr. old son and his friends are obsessed with Joe's music and are allready onboard with my idea. It was awsome to turn them on to Joe when Super Colossal came out and to watch them grow in Joe over the last few years. They like the deep cuts the most.
I propose people submit a tatoo design and have a contest to pick a winner. Once a winner is selected, we can print the design and take to our local tatoo parlor. My idea would include the phrase " CLUB JOE " on top, an image of Joe with guitar under that and the phrase " MEMBER SINCE 19?? " on the bottom. Maybe Satch HIMSELF can design the image ! That would be sooooooo cool.
I'm not sure how to set this up or even if Joe would approve. Maybe someone can take this idea and run with it.
PS : Wind In The Trees is awsome !

Mr. Satriani - Thank you for the wedding music!
I got married last month, and during the ceremony we played "Oriental Melody" while the preacher, best man, ring bearer, and I (the groom) walked down the aisle to the front.
I had a lot of requests for the soundtrack to my wedding! Thanks for channeling so much creativity into your music.

I just had a conversation with Kate Gosselin in the frickin' toothbrush aisle at Target!! LMMFAO!!! She was very nice, contrary to belief. We talked about what we put in our kids Christmas Stockings. She had 2 of the sextuplets with her. That totally made my day like you would not believe! lol! My daughter and I have been watching their show since it started.

Hey Joe......... "watchya doin' with that guitar in your hand" I say... HEY JOE (OK enuff of that)
But on a more serious note JOE, since you are the corner stone of every G3 Tour that is put together and then taken on the road, I have an awesome complete NO BRAINER suggestion for your next tour of G3.
YOU, whomever and (most definitely) RICHIE KOTZEN!!!!, what an outrageously "UNDERRATED" talent , forget about GUN SLINGER this guy is!!
There is no doubt, the world is full of "ridiculous" talent out there just look on YOUTUBE (that's where the real undiscovered talent is) NOT on American Idol lol
But I think it's time to introduce a NEW dimension to G3, and that is not to invite ONLY "fret burners" who are masters of modes & scales (so what, yawn I'm off to get a beer) RICHIE KOTZEN can sing like a bird, write like a mofo and play like no ones business.
This is what I would PAY to see, true musicians who can capture a listener and still light it up on guitar...... oh and I thought of another talent and "showman" to add to that line up PHIL X!!
JOE , RICHIE & PHIL guitar talent but the ABILITY to ENTERTAIN also
and bring them to TORONTO to Massey Hall and I guarantee it will sell out for 2 NIGHTS!
KOTZEN, KOTZEN, KOTZEN, and home town hero PHIL, PHIL, PHIL
[b]FOCUS on the songs[b] which just so happen to have lots of guitar in it, don't make every G3 an exclusive "sausage party" of drooling wannabees, bring out the women also, make it a show again JOE not a clinic!!

Duff McKagan (VELVET REVOLVER, DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED, GUNS N' ROSES) is undergoing surgery on his sinuses after he developed a hole (perforation) in the cartilage of his nasal septum as a complication from years of cocaine use. His wife Susan writes on her Twitter profile, "[I] am thankful and blessed my man is alive today! Kids, don't do drugs! Say a prayer for Duff as he's getting surgery on his sinuses (a hole the size of a quarter from years of abuse). We must live and learn how lucky we are for our health and family and friends. Love you, Duff."
McKagan revealed in a 2004 interview that he was forced to give up his hard-living lifestyle after encountering serious pancreas problems. He said, "I was drinking a gallon of vodka a day, doing cocaine, any pill I could get my hands on, heroin. And on May 10 1994, my pancreas exploded. The pain was like in the war movies, where they say, 'Kill me. Put me out of my misery.' I got out of the hospital, and I started riding my mountain bike; I was shaking so bad I didn't know what to do. The first day I rode for, like, eight hours. I didn't want to be static, or else I would think about drinking. Then I met Benny The Jet, my sensei. He saved my life, got me kickboxing. It's pretty much the most intense workout there is. I face everything in the ring that you face in life. Now I work out six days a week — kickboxing, lifting weights... I'm an extreme person. When I did drugs and drank, I was extreme, and when I go to the gym, it's not just to fuck around."
In a 2009 interview with Classic Rock Revisited, Duff stated about his sobriety, "I had a relapse on pills in 2005. It came out of nowhere. It was because of all this bullshit. Xanax was prescribed for me. I was supposed to take one if I had a bad panic attack. I had them in my bag and that was my first mistake. I took one, and the next day, I took two. In only nine days, I was up to 22. That is what guys like . . I do."

Ok, Yesterday was a very special day.
I got to meet Joe before the second NYC show at the meet and greet.
I won that privelidge from this here very website ! He was so nice and easy to talk to. Of course I had to ask him about Alan using Basspedals on the tour. And then he tells me that he was listening to Yes and ELP while the band was in Europe. ( two of my favorite bands so that blew my mind). He signed all my stuff but I had a crap camera with me so our picture didn't turn out to well.
This was my first Joe show and there is nothing else to describe what I saw and heard other than Amazing ! Seriously the greatest concert I ever went to. The sound was the best I have ever heard and Joe's playing was out of this world. Nothing could have prepared me for what I witnessed yesterday. It has to be seen and heard in person ! There were many moments where I just had to close my eyes and soak in the sound and the playing it was just that good.
Not quite sure what it takes to get people on their feet for a concert. I couldn't contain my joy so Joe got a standing O from me after every song , the crowd came around at the end and got on their feet for the last few numbers at least.
I can't wait to get the DVD and hopefully CD of the show he filmed this tour it was just outstanding in every way.
I will never ever miss a show again as long as I can help it.

hey Skippy...thanks
Joe, thanks so much for such an awesome show. The band rocked and you were so expressive, especially in FIABD....you played it more expressive than i ever heard it before, i think my eyes got a little watery, but i fought it back...and also in a few other classics, you clearly ARE better than u were before. The new songs are such a sonic treat but to see it from where i was...better than Blu-Ray for sure..lol. ...oh..and thanks so much for the drawing...my 2400 is now complete...though you got me liking Orange!..:)... still waiting on lime/fluorescent/neon Green!..it would look awesome with one of your signature straps too! ..and check out them Marshall Headphones.....theres 2 models..i showed you the "minor" but you will love the "Major" also.

Wow thats tripped out about that Miki Menaj. Always With Me Always With you. A joe Satriani sample. I guess thats cool. I guess that will give Joe more exposure.
These kids these days have no clue what fine music is. Its all about your cookie cutter "artist" and what will sell a million tracks on itunes.
I hope Joe is getting paid, but if that cut is on a mixtape then he'll never see a dime...
She is signed to Young Money Entertainment (Lil Wayne) and distributed by Universal records. I thought that at least if she was signed to Sony she would have gotten clearance for that sample.
Go get your money Joe!!!
