I was under the impression that Joe runs both delay pedals all of the time and staggers them at different settings to give the overall effect a reverb-like ambiance. I don't know of any songs on the current line-up that would require him to change the settings or turn one or the other off unless he adds something like Circles to the setlist. If I remember correctly from the backstage features on "LISF", wasn't he using 3 delay pedals for that song?

Hey Joe!
I'm a student coming off an exchange semester in Monterrey, Mexico, where I bought your new album! Really unbelievalbe stuff, but I'm sure you already know that.
I'm on my second exchange semester, this time in Madrid, and I found a beautiful, cheap appartment while listening to the song Searching. Good vibes!
Every time you come to Montreal, QC, I've been abroad (2008, I was in Brazil, 2010, Mexico) and it seems as per travelling we always switch places, although I was lucky enough to catch Chickenfoot at Toronto (really rockin' stuff, pivotal moment in my life easily!).
I'm hoping you can come back to Montreal when I'm around, or I can catch you somewhere else. Maybe you'd sign my JS 100? That guitar's changed my life, but with this year abroad it's just waiting for me back in Montreal.
Take care, and keep on rockin' in the free world!

Mebbe he's sick of the fawning sycophants who only come here to say how Godlike and awesome Joe is and how awesome his music is blah blah blah. Either that or he's getting fed up with hearing how Nicki Minge has ripped off his song when he actually gave her his blessing as it were.
Edit - .....or maybe he isn't! LMAO

It's a beautiful day in Mexico City. The last two shows here were amazing, we love the fans here in Mexico! It was a great way to end this leg of the Wormhole Tour. Love and thanks to all our fans around the world for making this a fantastic tour. We couldn't have done it without you, our great crew and production friends. Special thanks to Raquel and family for the on-stage space-alien invasion last night... I'll keep the mask in a safe place...
After a few days to recover, I will hit the studio with my Chickenfoot buddies and get going on the second record. Wish us luck!
Joe

Lovely to see the blue!!!
What a weekend I have had... I got a call about 4:00pm after school on Friday saying that there's a pantomime on in town and that there sound man has quit one day before the show. They asked me if I could learn the sound script by the next day and be there for a matinee. I got there two hours before the show an got all the levels set and then it was show time... Stayed at the theatre until 10:30pm and came home. The next day was the same morning matinee followed by packdown.
After all that I'm shattered.

Ok, so maybe he doesn't run them both all of the time, but it's a safe bet that he still does occasionally.
He was doing it with Chickenfoot.
I did notice during the Wormhole Tour that Joe pretty much stayed away from his pedal board most of the night, except for Crystal Planet, and the wah songs. Joe is such a perfectionist that I couldn't imagine him changing the settings on his delay pedals, or any of the others for that matter, during the middle of a set.

Thanks Scubadaz, that was the vid I was looking for, but couldn't find it. Although the CF vid gets a similar point across. I really love the sound of the 2 staggered delays.

Joe- congrats on an Awesome Successful Tour...and the many new fans ive noticed that must be common at all your shows. In NYC i struck up conversations with many fans...this is truly an untapped market because none of them ever come here . With Chickenfoot, the Redheads are a powerful Force and have lifted Chickenfoot's popularity single handedly ...im sure you noticed especially when the Foot site was bombarded with video and pics from fans. I cant tell you how many friendly invitations i received..basically because the Redheads want to be friends with the Satch heads...lol.....and ill tell ya..there was a day that very few Girls were into you...but since Chickenfoot..that has changed. Ill look forward to another Chickenfoot Summer because its partially planned already...i never though i would be a person who would travel the country for a band...but that may be changing....and please..make Sammy play some rhythm!!!...he got away with it last time..no excuses!! Good Luck!
PS..Hope you liked my Xmas gift....or did you regift it :(

Dear JOE:
Its been 11 years after the 1st time i saw you here on México. It was the Engines Tour back then. I was just a teenager at that time.
Right now i have 2 Kids and they already recognize your music and love everything you play. Im already a working man.
This last saturday on the Metropolitan stage i was on 2nd row. You dont know how much important was this concert for me. A reafirmation of "...why i simply admire J. Satriani" For some people is Superman... Some other guys love Spider Man...
I wrote this 10 years ago on this T2J section when September 11 just ocured and G3 was canceled:
"YOU ARE MY SUPER-HEROE, please dont let me down..."
You came here a few months later.
Thank you for the oportunity of refresh my soul with your music. Thank you for let me be a kid for 2 and a half incredible hours.
Thank you for still be a Super Heroe for this 32 years old guy from México.

Gabriel, I remember you! Welcome back and congratulations on your 2 children! We've all grown a lot, haven't we. Back then my kids were 9 & 12, and now they're both in college! Nice to see you on the t2j board again. So may I ask, what are your thoughts on Mike Portnoy leaving Dream Theater, and DT getting a new drummer?
