SKIPPYGIRL-i see your splurging for the acoustic. so whats up. so how are u going about this. taking lessons? or going to do the tab thiing. i started that way too, good for learning that one song. something tells me you won't stop there though. but u will be limited with just an acoustic.
anyone else signed up on myspace? Tikimon talked me into it, so what about the rest of yaz?
AL- as always nice job. you play much better than i could play in that amount of time. cudos

Well done Alan. Nicely played.
have a wee listen to this man...the very great John Curran. I have had the pleasure of knowing several truly astounding guitarists (Slanshroom who we have all come to know here) and this dude from my hometown of Dundee, Scotland - John Curran. Actually he is more a friend of my best friend Graeme.
This is him playing a Led Zep tune John Curran plays Led Zep
I remember that all the decent guitar players would come to see John and try and copy him and he'd turn his back on them for the difficult stuff. A bit arogant but amazing nonetheless.
Hope you enjoy this
Ronnie

Satriella--I have been enjoying your posts--The geography of women is so funny!
Maritime--Bjork's "Declare Independence" is like nothing else. Ropes in a huge machine to bind workers together--is that what it's like in today's places of employment? Hope you get time off very soon!
Tracie--That handsome young man from Eire fascinates me no end--what a gifted musician. What a charming young man--a chick magnet for sure! Siggghhh!!!! My heart is melting!!
Al McKenna--What more can I say? You have said it all with your pliable guitar that yields to your every touch....I am in heaven and I hear angels singing!!!

Michelle--I always did wonder what Santa does to pass the time when he is at leisure. Thanks for answering my inner question. btw, how are Sully and his buddy doing? What does Sully want for Christmas? Catnip? Toys that tickle his paws? a fishingline toy? I love cats!
SkippyGirl--This week I get my Fender Acoustic! I can't wait to hold it and learn to play. I want a sheepskin cover for it like Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top has for his electric guitars. Guitars deserve to be kept warm and cuddly during the cold months of winter. I may even take mine to bed with me--a kind of teddy bear!! Oooo.....I'm not sure my Steve would allow that--he may get terribly jealous! LMAO!!!

SUPERDAVE: Got room in the family for another Satchurator?
Mine finally turned up today.
I'm the proud owner of #010497.
Could I trouble you again for some of your fav settings?
When I picked it up my Satchurator, I told them as soon as they can get their hands on a "Time Machine" to order an extra one and it's sold. It's as good as money in the bank...

Oh Al - that's beautiful (*sniff*) - you're going to break a few hearts you are......what was your inspiration for that song? Are you smitten at the moment or ...?
What a gift you have you lucky bugger - look at what you can give to other people, the love of your life, your family.
Lornezo001 - I can't splash out on the Fender unless it is very second-hand. I'll see what bobs up after Xmas. Actually a few guitar players have recommended:
"any decent guitar with a Floyd Rose system"
"an Ibanez S320"
"an Ibanez RG170"
"an Epiphone"
"a Dean"
so I am still really in the dark.
GG2 - you take care of that baby and I want to know how you go every step of the way!
Cheesey101 - I think I've asked a few times and you've missed my posts - do YOU play guitar?

Hi
Im a 18 years old guy from Norway, and i would like to share my emotions for the “if I could fly” rip-off that coldplay did.
Just like you said “the first time I heard, I knew it was my own” I had the same thing, I was driving my car and I heard Viva La Vida on the radio, and the first thing that came to my head was “Isn’t this if I could fly?” so I put the “is there love in space” cd in my cd player, and immediately I could hear that it’s a plain rip-off no doubt.
And I just want to say that its really sad, I got big respect for your art, and your music changed my life pretty much, and it even got me to learn to play my guitar, and that is the greatest thing I’ve ever done.
The worst thing I think is that you spent so much time writing that song, like over 10 years, and all the emotions you put in your songs. I really hope you can pull this off, and I really believe in that. Because you should always protect what you care for and what’s special to you.
At last I want to ask you to come to Norway someday, you got a lot of fans!
Keep on creating that Strange Beautiful Music that makes people happy, make them think about life and gets their emotions taken care of!
Best Regards Thim from Norway!

Hi all,
I remember a video clip director from my country stated in an interview once that he did a photo job for a Mick Jagger gig in Bali. He mentioned the band line-up, which was Simon Philips on drums, xxx on bass (I can't remember, sorry), and the man on guitar...Joe Satriani. Therefore, yes, Joe has been to my country, and I am proud of it. O btw, Bali is in Indonesia, in case someone doesn't know, hehe.

Of all the research i have done being a part time archeologist that i found to make any kind of Nutty sense of it all, was reading about the Iraq Sumerian texts Zecharia Sitchin could well be another nutcase, but i got t hand it t the man spending a lifetime studying the first civilisation of man, wouldnt sign up for his theorys tho, that would be like making another religion?¿
Fortunately i,ve been able t live long enough t really live my life t its full without the bible/koran etc bashin nightmare inflicted on so many
Heres a link for you bud Bill Hicks on Religion
