PIP55 - thats interesting info. The guy was pretty upfront (but vague) at the same time about the finish. I asked him if there were any aftercare issues as I remember reading interviews with Joe a few years back where there were issues with the paint flaking off.
He said that they had solved that problem but that the final look wasn't 100% guaranteeable but would still look fantastic. Do you know anyone who has had it done? I've always loved the look of the Chromeboy so would be happy to have this done once I'd saved my pennies! He was also upfront about the amount of time it took to do as he said he wouldn't give a customer a guitar he wasn't 100% happy with.

WOW Peace, that's rotten! I hope there's a way to catch the scum that did that >:( There are so many things wrong in the world today, sometimes it's hard to hang on to what's actually good and working right.
:( Hang in there honey, and Wade too.

Hi Joe!! I absolutely love your distortion pedal - the Saturator. Let me tell you, I get a sweet sweet sound with my original 64 twin reverb, a stratocaster, and/or my les paul 57 reissue, and that pedal. Really, it doesn't get any better than that!! Thank you for your inovations and hard work!! Stan.

Peace - arrgh what a horrible thing to happen! The bank will be insured for fraud so should pay you back the missing $ (after all, it was their lack of security that allowed it to happen) and they will claim to their own insurer. But it does leave a rotten uneasy feeling to know that somehow that ***hole got your husband's card details and you have to go through the inconvenience of changing everything.
I try so hard to not give out any personal information or credit card info just in ordinary day to day transactions, and try to use Paypal whenever possible but really, data security is terrible at nearly all companies and still requires a human to be honest and not copy your details down or pass them on to their mates (or people will to pay them for the data).
I hope the rest of your weekend is better. And yes, a lot of Joe will help (and in my case coupled with big glasses of a nice red).
