Castle - She's doing as well as can be expected thanks. The bleeding has now completely stopped but she gets tired very quickly. Twenty five weeks along now and we're happy with every day further she gets.

michelle: Yo, yo, thanks for posting the Room 335 vid, Larry & Steve are some of my faves, I was smiling ear to ear watching that vid!! :-) Love the drum clip there, Mikey is SICK (I'm gonna miss him!), and here is the guy I think that should replace him in DT: Marco Minneman!.... He kicks a** in so many ways, he is so musical, and ya gotta love his groove!.... DJ A.M. was the shizzle, and Godsmack' drum battle never gets old!
Now watch Joe Travers drive Mike Keneally's groove! Dream band right there....

Just catching up on a few posts from earlier this week...
turbo236 - It'll be interesting to see what Chickenfoot does on their next tour. I like how they treated everything equally (well, except for Runnin' Out)...it'd be neat if they're the same way with the new album. They can't necessarily play three-hour gigs, obviously, but it would be nice if they rotate things a bit from show to show.
And that's an interesting comment about the Montreal recording...never heard Joe refer to his own playing like THAT. ;-) Do you remember what interview it was? Personally, I thought it was a bit early in the tour to be recording a potential release...
Pip55 - I'm following Bily on Twitter now, thanks. ;-) And I didn't realize Jon was following Zoe (clearly I don't pay attention to Twitter as much as I should...haha).
Listening to: Mr. Big - What If... (current song: I Get The Feeling)
...Austin...

Mikey, Marco was very impressive! I can't even think of DT without Mike. It's just not DT anymore. Just saw on MP's website he has drumcam DVDs up for sale for $10.00. I just ordered DOT & MPLAB.
Also, we are cleaning out the closet and having a "spring cleaning" sale and the following MP DrumCam DVD's all of which are now on sale for $10 each:
--- Ten Degrees of Turbulent Drumming
--- Drums of Thought
--- Mike Portnoy Live at Budokan
--- Drumavarium
--- Mike Portnoy Score
--- sysDRUMatic Chaos
--- Black Clouds & Silver Drumming
I didn't know Keneally had his own band! lol! Ya learn something new every day.
I thoroughly enjoy this noise! I have such killer bassy speakers & a sub that makes this noise sound amazing! LOL!

michelle: Nobody can replace Mikey Portnoy as you know, and DT is using all the tricks in the book not to let out who the next drummer will be, and I don't care, cause James LaBrie has to go first IMO, lol, I just can't take his vocals for some reason.... Marco would be a good fit, but I wish Mikey just slowed down a bit before it was too late..he was trying to do everything at once (playing for Avenged Sevenfold, etc.), and perhaps his disorder got the best of him. Those dvd's he is selling are a steal, and I hope he can recover from losing the DT gig and make another great band.
Btw, that "noise" was very cool, and I can hear Joe jamming to it aka "Engines", lol!

Mikey, I totally agree on LaBrie. He has some good songs, but it gets like nails on a chalk board really fast. I think MP will do well. He's had so many side projects over the years that it just might do him some good to float for a while. Do his wife & kids ever see him?? lol! My son is into the DJ thing now, so I'm hearing a lot of stuff i would have never heard otherwise. Some of it is so cool, because y'all know how I love the heavy side of a song & a good beat, but some of it is maddening. lmao! I tell him "I guess this is where the drugs come in?" lol! Going to see our baby girl at college today. We're taking her out for lunch, getting her some groceries, spending some $$, then tucking her back into her nook till next weekend. Should be a good day :-)
Al, I can imagine you have no idea what happened last night - except the bus driver who was at the stop ONE minute early and made you miss yer bus. lol!

Hello Joe,
In one word: AWESOME! It is pure joy to watch your fingers work the frets and the amazing sound that results. Have you ever done or considered a video showcasing your play style, close ups of your fingers playing songs, different angles. split screen of your torso with a closeup of your fingers beside it. You could do a commentary of what techniques you are using for each song just to give us laymen a better understanding of what is involved in creating such beautiful riffs and melodies I could watch you play for hours, you are truly amazing..
You are without a doubt the most gifted guitarist ever.
Peace, FIABD

Well Barnes and Noble delayed my tab book 30 more days, there has to be some huge problem for everyone to keep delaying it.
there better be some compensation for this. like free shipping or something.
I'm getting sick of email after email saying order delayed confirm you still want this or it will cancel your order.
getting annoyed...

Hey Everyone.
Back home again in Indiana. The Glass City (Toledo) Marathon was a windy one, 20+ mph winds with temps in the 40s. I got a time of 3 hours, 18 minutes, and 45 seconds. Not one of my best times, but I'll take it. I was 7th out of 36 in the Age Division, and I came in 73rd overall out of 640. The legs were a killer.
The next race will probably be the Indy-Mini-Marathon (Half-Marathon) on May 7th down in Indianapolis. I received my confirmation a couple days ago.
Peace Lily: Hope the whole fiasco gets straighten out for you and your husband.
Two Shay: Hey Cappy, glad you're daughter is doing well.
Ovation1(Mikey) & Michelle: You betcha that no one can replace Mike Portnoy. My friend (who is teaching me guitar) is a huge fan of DT; saw them in concert long ago.

I gotta say, seeing DT in concert is great! We saw them in Philly one time. Our seats were about in the middle of the house, and dudes were literally hanging off the rafters (poles), and everyone was singing and having a blast. It was almost more fun watching the crowd. Lord knows it was way to far away from the stage for my liking, but it was still a fun show. We all moved up towards the front eventually. My sister somehow wound up at the stage in front of JP. Instant fan. lol! Gotta look at the ticket to remember what tour it was. Hell if I remember? Six Degrees maybe?? Okay...what's going on here?? Is LaBrie losing it, or just ran out of hair dye? S'up wit dat yo?? lol! I think it's the Jesus Christ pose he possesses that I dislike.
ps - only 8 more days M. London! How's the other half & a half?

Milli welcome back. Jobs are rare everywhere. But I'm doing ok teaching guitar.
Against all odds I did get a ticket to the sold out Rush Time Machine tour! Will join friends from Argentina, Finland and UK.
Got a Sterling JP100 TBK (from UK) and put my Liquifire and D-Sonic PU's in it. Great guitar. Expect it will become my no.1 guitar.
Survived bad leg infection, thanks forever to the discoverer of antibiotics.
I recommended the latest Adrian English album called "Innerplanetarium" to all who need a dose of instrumental guitar.
Buying the BSAWW songbook is one thing, getting good backing tracks another.....
