death cube k: Thats awesome about Aaron bro, he's got some serious skillz, and he seems to cover all genre..very cool indeed!
michelle: I can guarantee you it was Marco Minneman.... All that talk that was going on was for the dude in the grey shirt (Marco), and he is the guy I wished would be the winner!! Here's my reasoning.... He can play odd time like an alien..he is sick in the sickest sense of the word....Enjoy, lol, he is the drummer alien!!,,,, If I'm wrong I will eat my keyboard, lol (I am having second thoughts)!! But as great as Virgil is, he is not wild & crazy enough to fill Mike's shoes, & Mangini f*cked up with his over-zealous attitude and throwing the sticks IMO........
Btw, are they doing this whole thing like celebrity drummer or what?! LMAO, it is what we have become as a society..reality shows have taken over, lol....

Hey capecodnut, Master Satriani either helped write it, or gave her permission. I forget the answer, but remember the story. No copyright infringement in that tune. :)

wolf2 - if you're paying attention, there's a show that's probably even closer to you than Ottawa, the show at Casino-Rama in "Rama". this side of Barrie, near Orillia (on Lake Simcoe). Looks like Joe is coming right to you there Brother!
Joy to the World! Canada even!

Mikey, that's sick! lol! I sent the link to my hubs. It's sick i tells ya! lol! I thought Mangini did a great job. I think he might have to build his stamina a bit, but he's a fantastic drummer. So, if you're wrong, will it be a keyboard dinner key by key, or will you just nibble on the side for a bit? lol! I'd like to see someone explain that to the doctor. lol!
MLondon, is it Minneman for sure?
Been groovesharking Joe all morning. FC7 :-)
WHOA! I had the speakers way up to listen to Marco, then when back to listen to FC7. Jayzus! Glad I didn't blow my speakers or ear drums. lol!
WOOT!!

death cube k: lol @ NAMM Mark, haha, who seemed the happiest there, lol!! And btw, Mangina, LMAO!!
michelle: I'm really worried now, lol, but I think Marco nailed it, especially chemistry-wise, but Mike is much the same way!! I really do believe Marco can bring a lot more to the band, but damn..what a decision to have to make!!!! And now we have to wait for the 3rd episode..sh*t, the anticipation is killing me, and I just hope I dont have to figure out how to bake my keyboard, lmao!!!!
Btw, LMMFAO....My speakers SHOT FC7 through the roof when it started, haha!!!!
Zink Master: The boyz are back..I heard a snippet a few days ago and me likey! :-)

Hi Mr.Satriani
I suppose that you are still using Keleey DS1 for recordings.
Or at least your Satchurator is very similar designed to that distortion pedal.
You can (ask someone to) do a simple mod for improving volume control. JSX is high gain amp, so you are probably using DS1 just as a booster. Therefore it is a bit tricky to get sweet spot.
You can replace Volume pot 100KB (linear) with 82K Metal Film resistor in series with 22KA (Logarithmic).
Or 68K metal film with 33K log pot (unusual value for pot though)
In this way you can get fine tuning in desired area, and all that without changing tonal characteristic.
I did the same and it is perfect booster for SLO and X88r.
Regards
Laza

Episode 3 is not up yet!! AHHhhhhh!!
michelle: I took a re-take on Episode 1, and Mikey fits all the criteria like a glove as far as having the discipline & power.... But the highlights of Episode 3 sez they were "blown away", and I'm wondering if Blind Guardian's drummer didn't get the gig?! F*cking Celebrity Drummer going on here, lol!!
But, one important thing to remember is that John stated that the new DT drummer better be "unquestionably" THE dude..no "hmmmm, I don't know about this guy" stuff from the fans.... And in that context, and on paper, Mike Mangini is the guy to bet on.... BTW, I read a few weeks ago that Blabbermouth said Marco "wasn't" selected, but I blew it off....
I guess I'd better set my oven to 350deg. of Inner Turbulence, LMAO!!!!
