That first post from wolf2 was the most comprehensible post I think I have ever seen from him since I started posting here 2 or 3 years ago! I actually read the post and THEN looked over to see who it was, haha!
While I'm here, Black Country Comm. is offering a free download of their new single "Outsider" over at their website.
The jury is still out on this one, I guess.
I did pick up SRV live at El Mocambo last night, which is one of the DVD's on my Guitar DVD "Bucket List". Still have quite a few to go, though. Also managed to track down a copy of The White Stripes' Under Blackpool Lights, but it is PAL coded, so I can only watch it on my computer.... for now... I really enjoy watching/hearing Jack and Meg White play.

turbo - yeah, I know eh?
Wolfie! Joe is coming near you! Either the show at CasinoRama or Ottawa... check out the dates in the Road section. You gotta see him at least once, right?
Speaking of bucket lists... my No.1 thing on my Bucket list (pun intended) is to see Buckethead play live, I've seen all my other guitar hero/gods but B has still not been crossed off my list. I will rectify that at the end of May... I'm flying to Kansas City for the show at The Beaumont. I'm as happy as a little girl! (pinches nipples like Deiter). Anyone else here going to be catching big B on this tour? He's playing a bunch of dates, so check him out if you can!
smooches,

Kayla, God bless yer gramma for the battle she's facing. He will take care of her.
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms out there, and most especially to my dear, lovely, teeny lil beautiful mum. She's going to be 90 years old in June and she still worries over me, lol! I try not to give her reasons to, but somehow she finds something to fret about...guess that's just being a mom :)
And especially on this day, big hugs to you Joe. Bless ya!

Hi Everyone!
Indianapolis was good for me & my Dad last night and into this morning. I ran the Indy-Mini (half-marathon). My time was 1 hour, 24 minutes, and 38 seconds. I was 70th in my age division, and I was 260th overall out of 35,000. Not much change compared to last year's race; it was about the same time & place I got last year. I did get an extra medal for finishing in the top 500, so I brought back home another two medals.
Skippygirl, js black dog, ovation1, and everyone: Thank you all for your praise & support.
I started listening to some Dream Theater for two days now. I listened to, "Awake" & "A Change of Seasons." I was impressed by both of them; amazing I would say.
Kayla, prayers to your Grandma.
Ibanezplyr: Best to your brother.
Talk to you later peeps. Tomorrow morning, I have to work Mother's Day Buffet at the Marriott (Mandatory work). We are expecting about 600+ people to come eat. Have a good one everyone, and I'll post more about my running.
Joe, best to you, and I do hope that I'll be able to come see you in Hammond, Indiana this July. If I don't, that's cool, have a great time performing.
Grant

Not to shabby!
Little Loki is a trip! He's 2.3 lbs, and 9 weeks old. He's sooo little! My other cats are still a bit leery. Bubba just jumped up on the sofa and licked him a few times, but Stew keeps slapping him in the head. lol! He popped him so hard earlier that Loki fell backwards and landed looking at the ceiling. lol! Poor lil' dude. I hope he lets us sleep. Last night i thought he was going to sleep in the cat bed I took upstairs for him. He was in it when I turned out the light. Next thing I feel him climb up the blankets and onto the bed. He started attacking me from my feet to my neck. He had me laughing so hard! He's only 2 friggin pounds, so it's this little buzzing fur ball tromping around like a maniac! My hubs finally came up and took him downstairs because I had to get up for work this morning. He's sleeping on the sofa now on his woobie blanket, so I think I'll shut everything down and try to sneak upstairs.
Happy Mother's Day!
Just had a good laugh. I said to my son that John Phillips Sousa died right at 5th & Penn (close by). In his smart arse way, he shrugs his shoulders and says "Who's that?" I said the musical guy. He says "Did he write Seussical the Musical?"
They're so clever...
Uh oh...kitty is awake again...

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting and I don't really know how to say what I would like to. My boyfriend introduced me to satch when we first started dating about 4 and a half years ago. Satch has been an incredible inspiration in his life and mine. He started playing guitar a couple years before I met him and was already teaching other people how to play while he was in high school. He loved Satch's music and even wrote a few songs of his own. He received a full ride scholarship to Drake University in Des Moines, IA for his music. He has always been an incredibly passionate player and loved teaching others, especially me about music.
Satch's music made his life what it was, it inspired him and taught him passion. He has always been amazed by the passion that Satch shows while playing.
About three months ago though he lost his battle with depression and took his own life. Since then I have been struggling to understand and to continue on, we had an amazing love for each other and many plans for our future. I had never seen so much passion in anyone as when he picked up a guitar. The only passion that even come close is to that I see when I watch videos of Satch playing.
I write this post not looking for sympathy or pity or donations to his memorial fund but simply because I feel compelled to let Satch know what an amzing influence he was on this life. He gave my boyfriend a reason to live for a time. It just became too much for him and he could not bear the pain he was feeling anymore. I continue to listen to Satch's music, and Chickenfoot (as my boyfriend absolutely loved the band as well). Along with Steve Vai's and Jason Becker's music, as these were the three biggest influences in his musical career. I find comfort in them, knowing that the man I loved was made through them.
Again I am not writing to ask for pity, just because I know how huge of an influence Satch and his music had on his life and to let Satch know this. I hope he gets the chance to read this as I know he is busy. This is a link to one of my boyfriend's music videos, one from soon after he started playing, this video is one of my favorites and I feel like it really shows the love he had for guitar, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTBz_T7ruLU
If you would like to see more of his videos he has two different channels on youtube.
