DavidFord - I have a feeling you can't just throw a 24 fret neck on a 22, something to do with scale length? There are way more competent and technical guys on here - someone will chime in, or go and post/read over at jemsite
HNG day though, shame about the bump

JOE: Sorry to hear of Carter' passing away, I didn't know how much he has influenced..he will me missed....
Kayla: Godspeed to your Grandma, our prayers are with you and yours....
Ibanezplyr: Happy to see the good vibes are working for ya bro, and great news on work again!
DavidFord: I wouldn't worry about the neck gap too much.... That is normal as you get the luck of the draw when you buy a guitar..some have a gap, some don't, but if it is not out of limits, it passes QA. Now if a PRS or other hand made model has a gap, the luthier would be fired, lol.... Good luck, and btw, I'm originally from Medfa ;-)
Yup, gotta love OZZY, lol, thx. for that michelle, the man is a genius & legend!

Putting a 22 on a 24.... has to do with the harmonics and construction of the body with the neck. Deal with what you have... what are the chances of hitting that note on the 24th fret?

Michelle- Thanks for asking about dad ..he is doing okay but he still has not had the arm removed yet. The Dr.s keep telling him its his best chance but he keeps delaying the decision. Maybe that is him making his decision....anyway time will tell.
Also your new kitten Loki is very cute.. :-)
Kayla- Thoughts and prayers for your gramma.
Kinda sad today ....our golden retriever TEN got really sick and had to have an operation yesterday..vets not sure if she's gonna make it . She has been a devoted pet...and a member of our family for several years.
JOE-Condolences on the loss of your friend Carter. Condolences to Sammy also ..sounds like they had a long and enduring friendship.......

Joe--Sorry to hear about the loss of John Carter. I first learned about him in Sammy's book, RED. One extraordinary human being!
Al Mc--Thanks for warning me about depressing things in this world. I avoid what would make the illness I deal with worse.
Michelle--You have the cutest baby...I mean..kitten! What a proud mom you are!
I'm dealing with a chronic condition every day and I'm gonna beat it if it takes me the rest of my life!

Dave Ford: You can't change the neck from a 22 fret to a 24 fret as the neck is father forward. The pick-ups are in diferent places not leaving room for a longer 24 fret neck. The intonation would be way off if you did, unles you removed the pick-up and routed out for the neck to be in tune. Note too, that the 24 fretters bridge/trem is father forward also. Good luck. Keep in mind all those harmonics are still here on a 22, just not fretted. You get a deeper/fatter sound out of the frount/fretboard pick-up that way.

Peace, good to get an update on your dad, but sorry to hear about Ten...our 4-footed friends are often like our kids, such a huge part of our family...hope Ten is okay and back home again soon. Hugs to your poppa too, no matter what he chooses. It's gotta be so hard for you to hang back and let him make the decision for himself, but it's what u gotta do. So hard.
Millie, as Mikey D said, keeping up the fight is most important. You gotta take each day, hour or minute as it comes and count it as a victory when you get through it. As I tell my son, giving up isn't an option and getting through is tough but even in the worst moments he has, there's always a bit of relief the next day. So hang in there and try to focus on good things when you feel overwhelmed.
Have a good Sunday everyone! Tomorrow my dad turns 89, and next month my mom will be 90. What a blessing they both are!

Thanks everyone for your reply :) Sadly though I had to return it. Was up all night wondering what to do. First off, I couldnt stop looking at the guitar. I mean, DAMN, was just beautiful. I did play if for a couple of hours, and remembered I had a similar neck at that thickness, and never got used to them. I have small hands so I need a smaller neck. Wish you customize the neck a bit, cause I would of kept it.
I did do something nice though. With the money I got back for it, I could of gotten a guitar of similar value. But this weekend was my best friends birthday, and he has a family of 4. He has NEVER owned a new guitar, and nor can he afford one. So I split the diffference. I got myself another Ibanez for about $400 and him the same but different color.
LOL, guys should of seen him LOL. He been acting like a nut all weekend. He took a picture of the guitar and sent it to all his family and other friends. Never sen him that happy ever. KId has been born into poverty. His best and most expensive guitar was a Service Merchandise guitar for about $80 brand new, that I handed him 12 years ago.
So ya, Im bummed out, but Ive bought other Satch equipment, so I cant win em all. Seeing Paul that happy made my weekend. :)

@Davidford. You are the nicest guy in the world. If only there were more people like you on the planet. Its funny you had the issue with 22 fret guitar with 24 fret neck. I had the same problem a few years ago. Found out the hard way! ha
Anyway. Take it easy
