Peace, since everything is "slow" roasted, etc for the bbq, that should give me and others just enough time to get there :))) But just in case we miss out, HAVE FUN!!! And congrats to the graduate!
ibanezebra, I know what you mean....right after Joe walks off stage after the last song of the encore, my son and I look at each other, I make a boo-boo lip and we wail...."WHEN DO WE GET TO SEE JOE AGAINNNNNNN...." LOL! So yeah :)
We miss ya Joe! Hope you're managing to have some fun and recreation this summer! I'm getting the urge for a trip to the coast and some 4-wheeling, or white water rafting...SOMEthing! But instead, I believe we'll stay right where we are, too many scary things going on with our state budget to justify the expense.
Happy hump day peoples!

Oxley: Whoah, crazy effects there. When i was listening to it, i couldn't help but think "Shouldn't Joe have had a bigger solo?", but yeah, great song.
Well, after yet more consideration, i've decided that i'll get either the JS1000 or the JS100, based upon these factors.
I have next to no income at the moment (just turned 16, hoping to get a part time job soon).
I want a js guitar that stays in tune when you whammy.
I want a JS :p lol
So if anyone has a 100, please please tell me how good the tremolo system is. I know it's an edge III, but other than that i know nothing about it. (also, how far up can you go on it before it snaps a string?)
Also for those of you lucky enough to own a 1000, please tell me about the pros and cons (if there are any cons). I can go for either, but i'd like one within a year.
Thanks very much

Secret Recording Project?
June 15, 2011
A few months ago our own Kirk Hammett hinted at a new Metallica project that's "not really 100 percent a Metallica record." While Kirk may have jumped the gun a little (and has since been properly punished with a series of push-ups!), we are more than proud to announce that we have just completed recording a full length album that is a collaboration with none other than the legendary Lou Reed.
Ever since we had the pleasure of performing with Lou at the 25th Anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden in October of 2009, we have been kicking around the idea of making a record together. Some of you astute Bay Area residents may have picked up news of recent Lou Reed sightings in the greater San Francisco area and we have indeed been working at our home studio at HQ on and off over the last few months. In what would be lightning speed for a Metallica related project, we recorded ten songs during this time and while at this moment we're not exactly sure when you'll hear it, we're beyond excited to share with you that the recording sessions wrapped up last week.
A true innovator and easily one of the most influential songwriters, musicians, and performers in rock music history, Lou's work with the Velvet Underground and as a solo artist has such an enduring quality that he has long been revered and respected by us and many of our peers. We can't wait for you to listen to the finished record, so as we like to hear ourselves say around here, keep watching this spot for updates . . . we'll be back with more details as they come together.

Peace Lily: Thanks for the invite, we will be there in spirit, and please have a shot or 2 of the Jag for us :-) Have a great one, and I second Tracies congrat's on your graduate.... Compai!
....Now.... if Joe can ever work out another G3 with his crazy schedule (and hopefully Stevo can swing it), IMO Tosin Abasi & Animals As Leaders would rule as the 3rd G!! Check out the intro of this tune..It has Joe "Not Of This Earth" sweetness all over it!! \m/ And @ 3:35 it really starts rocking hard, oh yeah!! \m/
Thank God for Joe and all the influence he has planted over the years for Instrumental guitarists to strive for and create, and for striking that nerve in me way back to what can be done with the greatest instrument on the Planet!! :-)
Btw, michelle.... I second that on MIke Orlando..I like the fact he will be working with Mike, and he sounds so much more refreshing and "up my Joe alley" than John P, lol, but not a diss there! ;-) Thanks for the heads up....

Or perhaps even Joe himself could answer my question? Although it's unlikely that he plays JS100's. What with him getting 1200's and 1000's for free :)
