Re: Mrs. Palin.
While I am envious of her outdoor skills, I have been less than impressed on the political front. She has the potential to make some waves, but I don't know that she would make a good PotUS.
I'm still very impressed with this guy, snowball's chance in hell though he may have. He actually understands the core economic issues (which are the key to most of our other problems down here).
Bill Clinton (broken clock) was actually on the right track with "It's the economy stupid.". Unfortunately for him, and the rest of us, he understands economics no better than the common house cat.
Unfortunately, I think our choices in 2012 will probably be a quasi-socialist who doesn't understand economics and uses single issues to incite fear and loathing and a quasi-fascist who doesn't understand economics and uses single issues to incite fear and loathing. Hell of a choice :?(, but why change now?
Edit:
Uh-oh...it's started again.
Anyone who doubted my identity should feel quite at ease on the matter now ;?)

Say - did you see Joe will be in NWI this summer - next month !!
Within driving distance still, right?
Road Trip !!
I am enjoying the political banter again - glad to have you back.
I sent an email - probably last year sometime, just basically saying HI - I figured the government finally found you - I assumed you ended up at gitmo or someplace worse.

AN INTERESTING OBSERVATION
1. The sport of choice for the urban poor is BASKETBALL.
2 The sport of choice for maintenance level employees is BOWLING.
3 The sport of choice for front-line workers is FOOTBALL.
4 The sport of choice for supervisors is BASEBALL.
5 The sport of choice for middle management is TENNIS.
And....
6 The sport of choice for corporate executives and officers is GOLF.
THE AMAZING CONCLUSION:
The higher you go in the corporate structure, the smaller your balls become.
There must be a ton of people in Washington playing marbles!

Ovation _ Talking about Vai substance.. as you broached the subject.. well, Vai arised in 80's, after evh revolution & Joe's teaching. To me, Vai created something like the super guitar heroe, & expanded it inside the Frank Zappa vision. Here is his part of the story, i think. Do you agree?
Richie Kotzen : to tell the truth, i don't know his work.
I'm supposed to jam soon with this man

Zenfish: I definately agree about \//\| carrying on the Zappa roadmap, but I think Mike Keneally does it much better with his all around theatrics and craziness on the guitar..and keyboard....
Alain is very melodic and has great tone..congrats on your the opportunity to jam with him..very cool indeed....
Btw, Kotzen plays without a pick these days.... At about 4:40 he goes ZZTopish, lol, check out how he goes into hyperdrive..he is constantly evolving....
rCeUdTuHx: Ron Paul is who I'm rooting for too, he makes too much sense though, lol, and IMO, he would bring some real change to WA..but you gotta have a great supporting staff as well....
Satriella: Thanks for sharing and the pics don't look dark at all..it really has a Satch feel to it :-)

Concert times / days are always complicated. Joe's is a Thursday up in da region.
Also - I understand budget issues.
Not sure if I will go - I want to go, but I have other issues to deal with too.

This is one of the funnest days of the year....it's Klamath Cruise weekend, where some of the classic car owners bust out their shiny restored cars and start draggin main street....today it's cops and robbers time, the cops pull over the classic cars as many times as possible between 2 and 6 pm. Tonight is the sock-hop dance, tomorrow all the cars are parked at the big park on display and to be judged, then tomorrow night starting at 7 pm all the cars cruise main street again. I get so excited seeing these gorgeous cars, lol! I've always wanted one, but don't have the $$$ to own, restore or maintain one. So I drool from afar :)
Tomorrow is my little mum's 90th birthday, we'll have a nice birthday dinner all together...then I'll see if my folks wanna come downtown to watch the cool cars drive by :) My dad can name every one of them by make, model and year...me....I just like how purty they are, LOL!!

Are any NorCal T2Jers going to see Satch/Deep Purple tonight (Saturday) or Rush on Sunday in Concord? I'll be at both shows...send me an email and we can try to meet up.
Mahavishnu - Did they use AWMAWY as bumper music? The guy on the M&B crew who picks the bumper music, Frank Sontag, is a Satch fan and has been using that song as bumper music for years and years...
...Austin...

....I'm sorry, but with a user name like that, may your cause rot in hell, lol. Godspeed dude.... ;-)
....Now, on a brighter note, here is some Beautiful groovy music by The Mike keneally Band.... Rick Musallam is really spreading his wings and is such a great player in his own right. Bryan Beller..Joe Travers, lol, siiiiiick!! \m/ And btw, our very own Do The Stu was at this show!
Btw, Zenfish, if you have your ears on, the mag Allmusic sez this about Mike: With his wide-ranging talents and ability to be creative in almost any musical situation, Keneally is the leading progressive rock genius of the post-Zappa era. I agree....
R.I.P. Peter Lt. Columbo Falk.... Thanks for the great case solved memories....
